Again, I get what you are saying, but the production team did not show it yet. Maybe they will with flashbacks, but I somehow doubt. They will probably focus on JH and her 7 years past, and how complicated the relationship between the 3 will be for a minute.
I don't need people explaining me how the episode went, I watched it. I am complaining this is not the greatest choice because it makes it hard to actually get on board with this shit when it happened out of nowhere in terms of what is shown on the screen.
How is Seo Jong Hui a daughter of rich CEO?
As for where the other characters are, Ko Yeong Rye and Han Jae Pil - still not feeling it. They work so well as friends. As this whole time jump actually did quite a disservice to them, because i need to understand when and how did Jae Pil start having feelings for her to believe it. You cannot just jump from him loving JH to now liking YR with literally zero transition, just a hard cut. I honestly hope none of them will end up with him. I want the 3 of them to stay as friends only.
I still would love to see Yeong Rye and Jeong Hyeon together. The moment when he said she got pretty, and it makes him worried and he prefered when she was ugly hahaha I cannot. I guess that's improvement π But that's also why I could vibe with then - him being gone, now showing up and treating her differently, I could understand why she would fall for him. But with YR and JP... they knew each other and he had zero feelings towards her. From their interactions... she treated him past 7 years the same way she treated him at the beginning... so why and when did he fall for her? What made his feelings change?
Sang Cheol basically being a set dad, I approve. Also what a glow up π₯
Yeong Sik is the only sane and mature one. Put him and JH in the same room please.
For JH I feel like she has been emotionally closed for so long she kind of is scared of any deeper connection. Girl has been on a run, and before that she was was abused π₯²
About the friend of the bro calling YR ugly... It's obviously something he called her when they were kids and my dude does not know how to move from treating her as a kid he knew to a woman... Dude is stuck and it's annoying π€£
First of all love triangle prediction after that 7 years time jump. Yeong Rye obviously still likes Jae Pil. And Jae Pil started to develop feelings for her. As he about to confess and start dating her, Jong Hui comes back. She also still has feelings for Jae Pil. But seeing how he started to develop feelings for Yeong Rye, she will push him away romantically and give up on him, so Yeong Rye and Jae Pil will be the end game. She will still be happy, because it will be more of a found family trope for her, not a romance.
I hate it tho π€£ Coz right now my favorite ship is Yeong Rye and Jeong Hyeon π I love them so much π€‘
Anyway, for the characters and the shit that happened.
π€‘ Ko Yeong Rye and Seo Jong Hui are fucking clowns and they are giving us the typical leads miscommunication/lack of communication trope. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU FRIENDSHIP LOL I was in the situation like that, when I was younger than them, far more hormonal and impulsive lol And guess what, me and my friend liked the same dude, and while hugging each other and crying we kept saying whomever he pick, we will be happy π€£ no fucking breaking up with the guy and not confessing "for the other person". Like damn both of them screwed Jae Pil here π₯²
That said, damn she was amazing in these two new episodes in all the other aspects. The way she stood up for her coworkers, the way she is willing to help others and has a strong sense of justice and morals. Honestly badass! π₯
π₯² Seo Jong Hui... baby girl... what do you mean "what if he is dead", girl your aim sucks, you hit him in the fucing shoulder, ain;t no weakest bitch dying from that π€£ And also her noble idiocy annoyed the fuck out of me. Breaking up with Jae Pil coz your bestie also likes him... instead of FUCKING TALKING TO YOUR BESTIE. Like, this type of sacrifices are actually one of the most selfish acts. Coz at the end of the day it's not about not wanting to hurt the other person, but it's about not making yourself feel uncomfortable. If you asked her what she would want her best friend to do in a situation like that, she would say "be honest, and be happy with the guy"... but she herself be like" nah... I will make some dumb choices for greater good" π€‘
While I do ship her now with the bother too, I am still a Jong Hui and Jae Pil bish... I'm sailing on this titanic listening to the violin. Episode 6 we've hit the iceberg. I'm not getting off tho.
π Han Jae Pil... not an issue with the character, the issue with writing tho. I hate how much os a sharp cut they delivered his feelings. Like... dude was honestly in love with Jong Hui, he was so worried and emotional whenever anything concern her. Going from him in that snow scene feeling like he is about to go crazy from worry... to 7 years later happy smile towards Yeong Rye as the "boyfriend" (whenever he already is, or just starting to realize his feelings for her) just feels so... wrong to me. The transition is just too much, it feels cheap.
π€‘ Jeong Hyeon MY MAN YOU LITERALLY BIG BRO ZONE YOURSELF I CANNOT. So many opportunities, but nah... he just had to keep calling her ugly like ARE YOU FUCKING 12? π€£π€£π€£Still. I would die for a love line between him and Yeong Rye ππππππππ I actually find their chemistry the best out of all potential pairings.
π Ma Sang Cheol and Ko Yeong Sik and fun, but not really impactful. Currently named as main characters (also is it me or who the main, supporting and guest roles changes every fucking week lol), but they feel at times even less than supporting ones. Maybe now that we had 7 years time jump they will be more vital to the plot?
You know what's good about this drama? Even though I more or less know how it will end, the journey has surprisingly many twists and turns that makes is so fun to watch and so entertaining π₯I did not expect to be this emotionally invested.
Also, the FL traveling from the future and knowing whatβs going to happen but still waiting until swords are drawn felt completely absurd. < they literally showed us she knew the consort was behind it all, and yet bish was surprised when the revelation happened and was confused who was behind it all till the end π€£
Honestly when she was slashed with the sword I went - if she dies I'll add 0.5 to the rating π€£
