It just felt like there was not much thought put into planning what and how they want to present. What should be the focus of the shot, what it should represent.
At the end, the acting was good, but the directing did not compliment it at all. Compare it even to the lunch scene. How the camera cut from Shu Yi to Shi De. How we saw the build up of emotions with the shots of Shi De typing faster and stronger as he can't focus and control his emotions. None of these details and plan of directing was seen in the sofa scene. It was like: you do the acting and we will just stand and film it from like 3 different angles and try to edit it later.
Unless they will tell us in the future episodes that Tian had literally nothing to do with the accident and the car race was not the reason she died. But that's just bad writing, so I hope it's not going this way lol
Even assuming it was not his car, he is still partially responsible, since he was the one to even suggest the car race in the first place. So it's not like he is blameless here.
while he himself delivered such a poor directing job lol
but it got sooo much better later on :D
What I know is the fact the police apparently did not take statement from Jin Mook after his daughter was kidnapped and her fingers were found. If this is not the most ridiculous and shitty police work, I don't know what is.
Mouse is more plot driven, BE is character driven. I myself prefer slow burn character driven shows.
Most articles that "support" Myers–Briggs were written and published in association with Myers-Briggs Foundation and independent studies were extremely critical about it. As a scientific method it's close to zodiac signs. The authors had NO training in understanding psychological theories or how psychological tools should be created. They had less than basic understanding of psychology as a study field.
They completely ignored THE MOST IMPORTANT step in creating any theory or test based on that theory: validation and research. They made a theory without checking if it express in reality - guess what, it doesn't. That's why Myers–Briggs is not taken seriously in scientific community. Coz it fails all scientific criteria to be taken serious.
Well then, scrap my idea hahaha
The idea that "removing" psychopaths would lead to crimeless society is such a joke, it makes the whole premise of the show seem dumb...
One of the reasons I dropped Rookie Historian was Eunwoo's performance, which for me was not strong enough. And while you could argue it's just me and my taste in acting that is a problem, Eunwoo faces quite a lot of criticism about his acting, not just from me.
Also, do you have problems with reading? My initial comments clearly suggest the problem were his roles not necessarily his acting.
Last scene tho, oof. Nicely done. I honestly LOVE the narration added. Such an amazing idea to give us better understanding on what was Gene feeling when it was happening. BUT that said, get ready for me describing how I would direct the scene, coz that white screen was annoying lol
Cue: Kate the Director
Basically scene goes the same as in the original up to the "fade to white" moment - scrap that. The kissing scene continues and they add narration to it. Right before the last line rolls in, we get "fade to black" screen, so the last line is the only thing seen/heard on screen (the lines about him not wanting to stop to not get out of the character). The fade to black turns into either a/ shot of the computer screen with the previous narration shown b/ Gene's hands on keyboard indicating he was just typing that c/ both scene one after another. Then we get wider shot of Gene sitting still kind of in daze (as he was just reliving the kissing via his writing basically). Then he relaxes a bit leans on the chair back and that's when he touches his lips. End of the episode.
I feel like doing this the way I said would make the transition smoother and less in your face. When the white screen showed up I legit was like: the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck is going on lol It just didn't feel connected. "my way" we would have smoother transition between reality and what is happening between Gene and Nubsib and Gene's writing. I don't know... I think continuing the scene without the cut makes more sense than starting the scene, stopping it in quite rigid way, and then restarting it with narration and mixing scene of Gene's writing in.
So, that would be my vision based on my non-existing directing skills ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I am 100% preparade for the fact no one will read that and I'm taking to an "empty void" hahahah
The victim could have been a victim, or could have not been a victim.
We don't know that since there was no prove beyond "someone said something, and someone denied".
Also, I quite dislike this article (and majority of articles about bullying topics recently) coz it brings more harm than good. The article states "He also shared evidence of him attending the same school." so why is that proof not included? (talking about the original source articles, since this is mostly translation I guess?). Where did they share it? What was the proof? Did anyone verified that? Is there any other proof? Just coz two people were going to the same school does not mean much. News outlets are so f****** lazy I cannot. All they do is going through social media and looking for cases that will sell well, but they don't actually do the work to find out anything beyond online post.
Don't call the alleged victim a liar, don't cancel Jisoo just yet. Freaking wait for more information (if we will even get any). The only right answer to the question: Was Jisoo a bully? is I DON'T KNOW.
It's okay to not know until you have enough information to base your opinion on.
Thanks :)
