Title Youth with You Season 3 Spoiler
Thoughts after ranking. Some made me quite annoyed tbh lol Also, Tony's fans don't kill me, I can't force myself to like him.

First of all, I get why Tony is so popular. He is literally like a manufactured idol made to be perfect: he checks all the boxes needed to debut. But damn he is so boring for me. I'm just tired with him always being depressed and annoyed and sad when he gets 2nd and not 1st place. At times watching him on screen is just emotionally exhausting. It's one thing to strive to get the 1st place but it's other to be devastated and never satisfied when getting anything other than 1st. Also... him saying that about final center etc... damn chill dude. He was literally rubbing salt into wounds with this shit. It was already frustrating and sad for Luo Yizhou to not get in top9, but he just had to say that...

Another thing, what I joke Luo Yizhou didn't get into top 9. For me, he is born to be center and just MUST debut. He is amazingly talented, hard working and he also has a nice personality that just makes others happy. There is this refreshing uniqueness to him.

3rd, I love Jojo, I do... but damn he does not deserve to be in top9 just yet. And Jerome getting in was also questionable...

I was hella confused why Huaiwei was so scared of getting 6th ranking (like damn it's good and high) but then they explained he was 6th twice in season 1 and at the end did not debut, so I get it now. I would be terrified of that ranking too. He is also my ultimate bias, and I will for sure be watching season 1 just for him. I love him with all my heart.

I feel extremely bad for Liang Sen about his hair. He always presented it as just his choice and as if it was not a big deal... but now we know the truth. I feel bad for him and when I think about all the trainees always joking about his bald head and wanting to touch it etc... He was really strong to take it all in. That said, I honestly like him with bald head, and he is still extremely good looking.

Overall... I don't know. These rankings were for sure far less obvious than the ones in Produce Camp. But I'm not sure how I like it. Like... some top picks were truly questionable...

Also, can they get new make up artist? Damn Tony's face was 2 shades lighter than his neck, he looked sick.

CW: Super critical post, ignore this if you love the show and dislike or feel discouraged by reading negative…
Agreed to all and I would add even more:

I was so happy Shu Yi called out Shi De for his bullshit, but I'm also pissed the reaction was so mild. Especially since up till that moment Shu Yi was shown to be extremely emotional, so his collected and mature reaction now makes little sense. every second of Shu Yi's existence in season 1 and season 2 episodes showed us someone extremely impulsive. But now he is not? Because? That some behind the scene character development going in, or the writer just does not care to write cohesive characters.

The dynamics between Shu Yi's dad and Shi De after they left the house and the comedic vibe to the awkward standing with backs to each other scene was just literally slap in the face. Coz the first episodes showed the plot to be serious, melodramatic, emotional ride, the boys were literally suffering for 5 years, but the writer and director are turning it into a joke...

The writing is just bad. And with that I'm dropping on episode 3.

Do you know how many Hollywood actors received an "Oscar" after a movie where they were drunk before acting in…
I do not agree with any actors drinking on set. This is page dedicated to we best love season 2, so i commented on what happened on set of this show. If i wanted to talk about western stars i would not do it on website dedicated to asian cinema.

And i never called anyone dumb. I said the decision they made was dumb. These are two completely different statements.

AND yet again i am saying this, i clearly stated that the director should be blamed the most in this situation rather than Sam. Yet people who disagree with me keep saying i am too harsh on Sam lol

I don't think he was drunk for the scene, and the idea of drinking on the set is not really something i would…
it was posted in comment section somewhere below (that's how I found it and watched it) but there are so many new comments now, I have trouble finding it. You can try scrolling down tho...

I have no problem with, for example, actor sipping actual wine or whisky or beer when they act the scene of them drinking (tho i see not reason to use real alcohol when you can use drinks imitating them without any %). I have problem with actor drinking 3 glasses of whisky BEFORE the scene take place to get into character. One can call it method acting, I call it irresponsible and unprofessional behavior.

Sam said he drank a little bit of alcohol, and then director jump in to "explain and clear" how much he exactly drank. He was REALLY precise about the amount. Don't know if you saw that part of the interview. So unless you want to call the director and Sam liars, he did drink and he did drink 3 glasses of whisky. If they exaggerated the amount, it's on the director not on me. I have no reason to suspect what they said was a lie.

I am judging their behavior, that's how stating opinions work. And if he was not drunk after drinking 3 glasses of whisky and then some, then he has some amazingly strong tolerance for alcohol (but then what was the point of even drinking in the first place if it doesn't affect him at all?). The director strongly emphasized in the interview that Sam drank a lot.

His job as an actor is to ACT as if he is drunk. Not be drunk. Director's job is to direct the scene and actor the way it will look real, and NOT be real. Acting coach job is to guide the actor on how to make the scene LOOK real, and not BE real.

For me this was unprofessional and it's based on MY standards of what I see as professional or not. And as I said in my comment, I think more blame should be put on the director and not Sam himself, since at the end of the day it was director's call to either allow it or not.
On We Best Love: Fighting Mr. 2nd Mar 13, 2021
Funny how I feel way more people being aggressive in speech towards people criticizing the whole drinking on set, rather then the people who are actually doing the criticizing. There are literally more people talking about the criticism happening that the comments actually criticizing the behavior lol

People have the right to criticize behavior they thought to be irresponsible and unprofessional. That said, I do believe more focus should be put on director and acting coach and not Sam himself. Coz at the end of the day, it was the director who had the final say if Sam should or should not drink for that scene, and FOR ME, he should have said no.

At the end of the day, for me and many people, the fact Sam drank undermines his acting skills, coz it's sending the message: he can't ace the scene sober, so he needed external support (aka alcohol). Not to mention saying publicly he drank before the scene was a dumb decision. I literally could not focus on what was going on on screen coz I kept thinking: so is he real drunk or not? How much of it is his acting and how much of it is just him being drunk? It just took me out of scene completely.

And that's my PERSONAL opinion about it. I will finish the show for the cast, but I will for sure avoid all the other past and future productions of Ray Jiang, since I don't like the idea of drinking on set "to get into character" and the fact he was encouraging it so bad.

Title A Tale of Thousand Stars Spoiler
but the police investigation (as stated in the article) said it was the car with his plate number. Even assuming…
"Tian passed out before the race and was rushed to the hospital" how do you know? It was not shown in the show. Was it like that in the novel? If yes, well... they did poor job directing that plot line then. Coz with how they are showing the scenes so far, him passing out right before the race would be so cheap...

Tian was shown to get to hospital in ambulance tho lol

Also, it's more of him organizing the car race not just suggesting it. Him and Tul planned how to "clear the road", where to race etc. So even if he did not take part in the race, he took part in organizing it. Also, Tul is partially responsible too. So IF you planned to rob a bank and had all prepared, but did not take part in the robbing itself, even legally speaking you would be partially responsible. Since the criminal activity would not happen without your involvement.

I honestly see this going either of 2 ways1. Is that Tian aldready hasd the stroke at the time the accident happened…
the website said she died in the car race. So Tian would be driving his own car, and the other dude would be driving his own. The guy obviously did not "win" the car since Tian's parents were the ones that "sold" it after the accident.

1. then who drove his car?
2. as you said, he got to the hospital in ambulance so it was not his friends who drove him there.

How was his directing job bad? (I'm genuinely asking, I'm curious to read other opinions)
it does not match the directing and editing style of all the other episodes and scenes. That's why I am saying it's not cohesive.

he did not. Tul literally told him before he got into the car that it's a bad idea, and Tian said he has to race coz the other dude will see him as coward otherwise.

If it was not him driving the car, who was? There was only Tul next to him right before the race. So what, Tul went for a race when Tian passed out and went to hospital?

Legally speaking him not taking part in the race makes him innocent. FOR ME morally speaking he is still partially responsible as he was the one to suggest the race in the first place. He was the one to put that illegal activity in motion.

well, still bad directing, as it does not match the style of all the other scenes. You can show the raw aspects of the scene while still being cohesive in style.

It this were to play out, it would be a major mistake for the writers to make. That would just blow up the narrative…
I am scared they will give some bullshit explanation how he was not involved and is blameless to give that happy Disney ending, where he main character can be nothing but good.

How was his directing job bad? (I'm genuinely asking, I'm curious to read other opinions)
I'd still call it poor directing. Most dramas (this one not being expectation) have cohesive style of directing for all scenes. So switching is just this one for this one scene makes no sense. It took me out of the story a bit, coz it just did not flow well with the rest of the episode.
