I just love how calm the directing was in this drama. Sometimes going simple is the right way, and I am so happy they didn't try to overcomplicate shots with some random weird "aesthetic" angles etc.

This is THE FIRST BL that made me interested in the side plot that was not related to the romance itself (aka what the heck happened in the bar) lol This is for sure my favorite K-BL.

I get it makes sense taking into consideration plot for episode 2, but the scene is a random addition to last episode in season 1. I think they should have had the dad either show up or was mention in the previous episodes, even for few seconds.

Comparing the dad showing up in the last episode to hint the plot for season two with Shou Yi and Zhen Xuan almost crossing paths in last episode. One was done well (we saw some hints and back ground story of Shou Yi and Zhen Xuan throughout the whole show) and one was done poorly: the dad was not in the picture at all, and out of the blue we have a dad that might be controling to the point of breaking up his son's relationship.

it still was random coz it came out of nowhere. They should have introduce the dad few episodes earlier. Him showing up for one scene was random in terms of pacing and how the rest of the episode was presented. it's like they had this idea "oh shit, we need to hint the dad might not be that happy about the relationship" and they added one scene for it. It should be more gradual.

omg I take him having amnesia over him giving up on his love coz dad said so. They are not children, they can make their own decisions.

And I don't think the Hawai theory makes sense coz the time difference is a constant thing, so you would add the time difference ONCE not for each day etc. so it would be 5 years + these few hours of a time difference.

BISH NOT THAT ONE! The is a theory that Shi De, while being in US, was in accident and has an amnesia and does not remember anything after high school. And it would explain why he cut the contact with Shu Yi (since he does not remember they getting together in uni) and all that + before the office scene rolls in he gives a short narration and he says they have not seen each other for over 76 000 hours, which adds to almost 9 years, not 5 as the "5 years later" says. So it would make sense that he has amnesia and he does not remember the years at uni, since his memories stop at high school!

honestly, I found the dad scene hella useless. they either should have introduce him earlier or not add him at all. Coz that one random scene was just out of nowhere and did not fit the episode at all.

Small details like that fact they kept kissing after the lights were turned off made it so good. Coz it made it more realistic.

Overall this was extremely wholesome show and i am sure i will rewatch it soon :)

I'm fucking Polish lol English is my 2nd language. I'm not talking about the accent here lol Her English was really good, how she delivered the lines in English was bad. I'm talking about her acting not language skills. Omg, people create their own fucking problems to get offended.

edit: sorry for the bad language, but in the now deleted comment I was called "pompous and arrogant and full of myself" and my review stupid simply coz someone did not understand that I was criticizing lines delivery in the acting aspect, and not language aspect.

I mean... I dislike the apology scene coz the delivery of her lines was just bad. Like, really bad. I accepted the other scene only coz it was so ridiculously funny I could not stop laughing.

And the crying... yeah. I love when they cannot make themselves cry, coz they over the face with a hand to hide the fact they cannot squeeze these tears out lol
to be fair, crying on the spot is hella hard and I can only assume that they did not have a lot of time to record all the scene over and over again, since the production was rather small.

yeah. That's why I trust her. Coz I can see WYEL was good coz of her skills and the fact she truly cares for her projects and not just coz she was lucky lol

honestly, i will stalk the director and all her next projects coz I trust her with my heart now lol

the soft angst in this show was soooo gooood!

Predicting a better plot than the writers told < this happens even with the shows I do enjoy. Tho, it for sure happens more often with movies (since they are so short, I rarely ever drop them). Some plot lines are soooo generic. Not to mention some dialogues. I am literally able to say some lines before the characters dom coz they follow the same old formula...

I have never fallen asleep while watching anything... I think I'm just good at knowing when I'm too bored or tired to continue and I just stop.

it's not like she is going around commenting under positive reviews or replying to people who love it. She expressed her opinion in her own review and that's it. Seeing how she rated it low, you knew before reading it will be a heavy criticism on the show. If you cannot take it, don't read it. No one is forcing anyone to read negative reviews...
