1. he had nose bleed,
2. his name was on the list of people turning
3. I did not pick it up, but someone write in the comments that his temperature started going down, which was also indication he was turning.
Edit: okay so apparently prosopagnosia is not listed in dsm (my mistake. I live in europe and we use icd, i am not as familiar with dsm codes).
but with comment section, posting about triggers is usually mostly useless since there are many new comment all the time, so it gets buried...
Glad you enjoyed the show tho. The characters were for sure the best part of it :)
I have not seen Alice yet (and I'm getting less and less interested in it the more I read and hear from the fandom), so I will speak only from perspective of someone who saw Sweet Home and comment only about that part of the article. Since I simply cannot speak about something I have not seen.
There is one thing that I kind of missed here, which is a huge factor in deciding what show to watch by a lot of people - emotional aspects. Like you described SH as "Surviving in the world occupied by monsters" but HUGE part of the plot is fighting against inner demons and desires. This is what, in many moments, is the driving force of the plot and characters decisions.
Totally agree with the jump scares. While it has horror elements, I wouldn't even call it a horror in the top genres. For me it was more action, survival and psychological.
As for understanding the plot, yes SH is quite simple plot wise, but while you can enjoy the show without fully understanding the past stories, you will miss the depth it has as a commentary about humanity. The show is driven by the characters, not the plot itself. So without putting some work to understand the characters and their motivations, the drama loses it's charm.
I cannot agree that SH was about "defeating enemies resolves everything". It was about surviving. They didn't go around trying to kill all the monsters. They didn't try to defeat, they tried to stay alive. They tried to avoid them to survive, while trying to create a system of working together.
True that SH was not the most physically brutal show out there. There were a few scenes that I reacted with: that's more than we usually see. But for a show like that, it was not the worst thing ever. I think SH focused more on the emotional hits. The deaths of some characters were not necessarily extremely brutal and gruesome, but emotionally charged and at times even touching.
And yes, Korea is way more "chill" with nudity. Rarely ever we see any in their productions. More often in movies than in dramas for sure.
So yeah, it was fun article :) There was a lot of "comparing" going around on drama pages, so I would say it's good to create an outlet for people to voice their opinions in a shared space.
From what I heard from other people (so I cannot say it's true lol), Alice was more plot driven, while Sweet Home was more character driven type of deal. But yeah, no idea how true it is for Alice, since I have not seen it.
