BUT (crazy idea) maybe Hana was the one who poisoned the family and herself. and when she was talking to the photo with the "i still don't understand why you did that" she was talking to her past self (since now she is completely different person, and she does not have clear memories of her past).
What I understood from Hana's story: one of the family members tried to commit suicide and poison the whole family. We don't know why, Hana does not know why herself. She was able to survive coz she vomited the food that was poisoned. That's how I understood it.
And yes, the format is quite repetitive. It's the same story over and over again, just with a stronger evil spirit.
Totally agree that the last fighting scene with the main villain was weak... just too easy. They set this whole issue about him being pure evil, close to impossible to catch. That maybe Moon would be able but it's not a certain thing since no one truly knows how strong Moon or the evil spirit is. But then before the scene could truly start, it was over.
And yeah, the story was not that complex and mosty focused on the characters, their teamwork and emotional aspects. Lucky, this is what I usually like in shows, so for me I was not complaining. But if someone is looking for more plot wise, this might be a bit weak.
Some things I think I can explain tho:
Yung partners cannot "help" counters on earth. By being their partners they give them special abilities, but they cannot actively do anything. I think that was quite clear with how the relationships between them were built.
Did they ever say evil spirit cannot leave the body unless the host dies? (they might, but I don't remember). Assuming they didn;t, I think the reason the evil spirits never moved bodies was the fact it's hard to find host, and if they don't find them fast, they will die. But since the son was right next tpo dad, the evil spirit knew where and how to move between them. That's how I understood it.
The lack of consequences was frustrating. While the staff was not something I found annoying (coz at the end of the day, it was not their fault it was broken. They did what they could and barely survive in the process), but later on for example then Hana uses her powers to give the grandparents the closure. That would be unauthorized use of her powers, 5th strike and she should be out lol
If the spirit moves from their body or the spirit dies, the person goes back to coma. If the human dies with the spirit, they go to heaven.
The Yung partner Moon "absorbed" went to Yung. As Wi Gen said, Moon is a bridge between Earth and Yung. So basically he did not absorb the guy, but was a door for him to move from Earth back to Yung.
Everything about this show was left open < omg yes. The whole 2nd half of the show was mess and it's ALL on director and production crew. They were suppose to be in contact with the writer of the webtoon and they had a clear vision to where the story is suppose to go, but half way through director started to ignore the wishes of the author and do whatever she liked. It was a huge issue in Korea. To the point they made a movie, since no one was happy with how the drama was presented.
I feel bad for the actors, but at the same time... they did agree to play the roles so..
but with all the bullshit that happened and the "plot twists" I was just so done...
Cherry on top? The dad agreeing to them dating if Ton uses surrogate to have a kid, and with that Miriam became Virgin Mary lol
it for sure brought emotional reaction from me lol
I honestly feed bad for actor that they have this in their history of acting now, tho it was their choice to accept the roles
anyway, you watched the last ep without subs like me?
