I don't know how I feel about it. Up till now Eun Woo did not really play any demanding (acting wise) character, and they were either similar to each other, or one dimensional side characters. Because of that, there was not much nuance to his acting. So on one hand it will be interesting to finally see him play something new, but since i don't really know much about his acting ability (because of the roles he was picking up till now), there is this fear of: what if he cannot do the role justice?

"I've also learned over the years that I would have missed out on some really good dramas if I had dropped them…
Trusted source does not work for me most of the times, because I enjoy watching shows (especially k-dramas) as they air, so there are no opinions about them at the time I'm starting. Not to mention, the only opinion I trust is my own haha My taste in dramas is just all over the place. Two similar dramas in concept, writing, characters etc. can make me have vastly different reactions. With that, I rather just check the shows myself and drop them. And I get that some shows take time to truly start, and you need few episodes to get into them, but for me it's still the same logic: why would I waste time watching these episodes I don't really enjoy with hopes I will enjoy the show later, when I can start a new show I will enjoy from episode one? There are so many dramas, I don't have to be worried I might not have any quality shows to watch if I drop so many.

As for the drama I ended up loving: Project S: Skate Our Souls. Up till now I picked up 26 dropped dramas, 10 I finished (with various levels of enjoyment, but mostly around 6-7.5 rating) and dropped for the 2nd time 16.

I totally agree with you!!! I'm fine with people dropping dramas left & right -- if it doesn't suit their mood,…
I have no problem with people writing reviews if they drop shows. There is a mark for them and in the review it shows on which episode they dropped too, so people reading are aware the writer is basing their opinion only on the part of the story they saw. Explaining why someone would drop show and what they didn't like to the point of giving up on it is also valuable information.

"I've also learned over the years that I would have missed out on some really good dramas if I had dropped them within the first few episodes." this is interesting, coz in my case, I would miss a lot of amazing dramas if I was more strict with picking and starting only the shows I know I would enjoy. For me, being selective would mean I would not watch many amazing gems that were out of my comfort zone and did not seem like a stories I would normally enjoy. That's why I easily start dramas, but I also easily drop them.

For a few months now I've been doing a "2nd chance project" and gave my dropped shows 2nd chance. Most went back to dropped list, few I finished but the ratings went from 4.5 to 7.5. Only one drama that I've previously dropped, I ended up loving. And the more I do this small project the more I'm starting to trust myself with my choices of dropping shows.

I mean... their comment is pretty empty and fully of generalizations without giving any specific. Which scenes they had problem with and why? It's not a hard question to ask. I'm literally just asking for more into about their own opinion...

My favorite part of that comment was "uninformed seemingly cool shade on BL industry" simply because they are calling people who work on the series and are active creators in BL industry, which makes them part of the BL industry, as "uninformed". Them writing uninformed shade means they are uninformed in the eyes of the OP. So from the looks of it, OP thinks they have better understanding how BL industry works from people who are part of and literally work in BL industry.

I've been called Eclectic watcher, easy dropper on feeds for a reason lol
For me, I like to try many dramas from different countries and genres. Sometimes it's miss, sometime it's hit. I hate checking a lot of details before starting shows, usually I just check the genre, first few tags and cast - I don't even read synopsis. Why? Coz in many cases going blindly into a show is more funny. Many synopsis have quite a spoilers in them too.
With me starting many different shows, it's given sometime they will end up not being my thing - hence a drop.
That said, I am doing the 2nd chance project (which tbh, only proves to me that I did a good job dropping these show in 80% of situations lol) and I'm in the process of writing article about it.

Great articles guys! I love reading the ones that are more focus on users and their habits and opinions, rather than shows themselves :D

You can give it a fancy name or make many different excuses but to me, dropping is just giving up. If I start…
Even if we call it giving up, there is nothing wrong with that. For me, I see literally no point wasting next 10 hours or more of my time on something that not only doesn't bring me any joy, entertainment or satisfaction, but at times even annoys me.

Excuses are given when one does something wrong. There is nothing wrong in dropping dramas. Hence they gave explanation what makes them drop shows and not excuses why they drop them.

Baek Yi Hyun is one of my favorite characters of all time, and for sure in my top3 favorite "villains". The heartbreaking complexity of his character was just amazing to watch.

This series is such a mess. It's superficial to its core and relying on throwing uninformed seemingly cool shade…
you did not reply to my comment under your review, but I see you are replying to people here, so let me ask the same question here:

could you perhaps elaborate which parts exactly were the "uninformed seemingly cool shade" and why you perceived them as such?

I was laughing at first, but at some point I got just annoyed.

Title Sisyphus: The Myth Spoiler
I am dropping the show half way though episode 3. This was literally painful to watch. Some of the things that were ridiculous and made no sense just in the half of 3rd episode alone:

⇢ Did they just send PSH without explaining ANYTHING to her? Like... how to stay low profile and not get caught. She is all over the place not even trying to stay low key and not get caught. wtf? what kind of bullshit is this?
⇢ WHY THE FUCK WAS THE SNIPER WAITING SO LONG TO SHOOT? Was he nice dude who wanted to give ML time to finish the speech? What kind of bullshit is this?
⇢ where the fuck did PSH got that tablet from and how did she had a time to write 엎드려 on it while fighting guards? what kind of bullshit is this?
⇢ Bitch be shooting at the direction of the sniper without even LOOKING and somehow she gets the bullets near and almost gets him lol what kind of bullshit is this?
⇢ there was NOT enough smoke for them to run away without Voldemort seeing it. what kind of bullshit is this?
⇢ did she just removed his magazine and yet he is still shooting? with what? what kind of bullshit is this?
⇢ WHY IS HER HAIR NOT MOVING WHEN SHE IS LITERALLY SLIDING DOWN A FUCKING BUILDING. What is this shitty green screen job? They would be dead. The laws of physics did not apply to this scene AT ALL. what kind of bullshit is this?
⇢ did they just kill Voldemort behind the scenes? Coz PSH only hit him in the face with gun. He would not die coz of that lol what kind of bullshit is this?

As you could see, this show legit got me angry. I can deal with ridiculous scenes in many shows, but sci fi? Nope. Especially since the mistakes done here were truly ridiculous.

Review I Told Sunset about You Spoiler
You know its gay series right it gonna be dramatic like its not 2 boys falling in love and all their friends are…
You can have painful and expressive story about struggle without it being overdramatic and having teens made dumb decisions over and over and over again. Teh giving up uni had nothing to do with him being gay but with him being an idiot. Them arguing via IG stories had nothing to do with them being gay, but with them being dumb teens. Most problems I had with the plot and the characters were not linked to their sexuality. They were not children. They were going to uni, so they were what? 18? But their behavior was closer to someone who is 13.

I clearly said "I loved the serious topics they decided to comment on with this show. I love the ideas behind some of the truly impactful scenes BUT the approach and end result was not always something I enjoyed.". I applaud them for giving more serious representation compared to other Thai BLs, but that does not mean I am amazed with the way they were presented.

I'm not with you in "Abyss" because it was a good drama to watch but in some EPs was really boring. Also in "the…
The concept of Abyss made no sense and it shows. If someone is able to ignore lack of logic and just enjoy it for the entertainment value: sure it is a good show. I wasn't able to. To quote my review:
"Fantasy set in modern times should explore the unexplained but never go against what we actually know and contradict the reality. When they dropped the "I got resurrected in a new body but my dna stayed the same" I was extremely close to dropping it again. Honestly did not think it could go any more illogical."

For the third charm, I cannot comment since I dropped it on episode one.

I'm annoyed with the writing... coz nothing makes much sense. They say the characters are smart, have great team work, but the problems they have to face are on elementary school level of brain power needed, and up till episode 21, their team work was not so great. They are killing off the characters that are useless for the plot now, and there are no long lasting consequences... it's just annoying.

My problem is the writing... most characters are poorly written and the plot is so convenient. It has "fanfic written by a 10 years old" quality to it. So many times I just felt like the show is for kids. That rather than 13 and older, it should say 13 and younger...

I didn't like it either. I just don't feel it. No chemistry between the leads. Wu xuanyi's acting skill is terrible.…
I feel the siblings chemistry, but because they pushed it so hard, I will never ever see them as romantic partners and it will creep me out so bad when it happens.
Honestly I don;t have much problem with anyone's acting, but rather with the writing of the show...
