completely agree. Honestly, the comedy was unexpectedly well done and fitting. I'm not the biggest fan of comedy myself, and in rom-com I prefer more rom and less com, but here it was just so natural, well done and on point with the whole feel and mood of the movie, I could not stop laughing when the jokes dropped.

Review Good Girl
Sleeq being flexible person is so true. I think she was the most open abo0ut exploring different music genres and performance styles. She aced her part in each and every performance, no matter what the format was.

Great review, love how you focused on girls and not necessarily the music. Even tho the music itself was AMAZING the truly value of the show was the cast and their interactions, personalities and growth.

Review The Ghost Bride Spoiler
↳ About Li Lan meeting male characters for the first time. With Er Lang we could see how free spirited, feisty and curious she is. Comparing it with her first encounter with Tian Bai after he came back from Hong Kong: her being shy, proper and "well mannered", without voicing her true feelings nor intentions. And then we got Tian Ching, of whom she was scared. Who was demanding in her dream, not leaving her much choice. Just their first scenes together show with whom she can truly be herself, who would truly support her and her dreams.

↳ I truly thought her agreeing to marry Tian Bai was quite ridiculous. We could see her losing her romantic feelings towards him as the show progressed. Tian Bai also had some feelings towards Isabela in the past, and even tho he was protective over Li Lan, him asking her to marry so fast after the tragic events was just weird.

↳ I am sorry, but that last 3 seconds of them showing Er Lang having the black veins broke me. R.I.P. me.

Well... he was turning, so he didn't want to risk becoming the monster while going with the rest of survivors.…
oh yeah, the nosebleed was actually only one of the two clues he is turning. He also kept track of everyone healthy, turning and dead and his name was written on the turning list, it was shown in the same scene he got the nosebleed and stayed behind :)

Why?
I disliked Hyuk in the show at first too. But at least he did not seem like a psychopath but rather as a hella desperate dude.
As for MC, it just his suicide plan seems to make less sense with how he was written in webtoon, compared to show. And it bothers me a bit.
And nah, I can only read 2 chapters a day for free lol so it will take me a while to finish it hahaha

I honestly have so many questions, but I guess my biggest question is why did Lee Eun Hyuk just chill in the building…
Well... he was turning, so he didn't want to risk becoming the monster while going with the rest of survivors. Outside of the building there was military which was ready to shoot anything and everything. He didn't have much choice lol
He was like the dudes playing violin while Titanic sunk.

Why?
Hyun Soo's ver. in the webtoon if less realistic for me. In the show I did not question once why he wanted to commit suicide, since it was clear he has a deep clinical depression. In webtoon he is introduced as a typical angsty angry teen.
Eun Hyuk and his face smiling makes him seem like a manipulative psychopath. I loved how in show it was clear it was a huge moral dilemma for him, each choice he made. In the webtoon, I feel like he does not think twice about his decision. I mean he literally smiled after saying kids are not priority. Also, not realistic that he would be so fast in taking leadership position when he is only in high school (coz people are dumb, so even if what he said made sense, they would still not want to listen to a kid). him being slightly older in show just makes much more sense. + I feel like there was more opposition to him being the leader compared to webtoon.

I am only 40-something chapters in tho. But for now, I just feel like show was more realistic and quite smart with the choices they made.

Why?
Well, this is me but the opposite. I'm reading the webtoon now, and I cannot enjoy it as much as others since I strongly dislike some aspects that are in the webtoon but (for me luckily) were changed for the show.

Love your article, Kate.
There is nothing wrong with being "mood reviewer" tho. It's not like you have to review everything you watch. It's 100% fine to just write reviews when you are motivated to do so and have thoughts you want to share :)

Me reading comments from people who were either disappointed in adaptation or disliked the changes made, when I'm reading the webtoon now and all I can think of is how I like all the characters in the show more than the webtoon, and how random Cha Hyun Soo's ver. in webtoon seem. Tho it might change, since I'm barely 40 chapters in.
I guess it's true that whatever media you consume first, you will like it more.

Kate, since I have flipped through thousands of previous articles, there have been only a handful of articles…
I just noticed that more and more people are starting to write reviews + because of covid, there are more and more new users overall on mdl. It seemed like a good time for article like that + it was nice summary of my 2020 "review everything" New Years Resolution hahaha

I love writing reviews for movies and sometimes dramas that don't have any reviews or maybe just one. Though I…
I would be lying if I said the "helpful" clicks don't make me happy, coz it's always nice to see my work did pay off and someone found it, well... helpful hahaha that said, I am not sad if I don't get any "helpful" under review, it happens hahaha

Good luck with the "reviewing everything" challenge :) It's really rewarding if you truly stick to it :D

This was amazing article!! I personally like to write reviews in the notes section where nobody can see them ':___D:…
that's an interesting way of using notes! :) I usually use them to write down why I dropped the show hahaa coz that's something I often forget.

Thanks a lot for this inspiring article. I like the way you are dedramatizing the process and giving tips to help…
Thank you so much for such a nice comment :)

The spoilers in reviews are really hard thing to deal with. Especially since everyone has a bit different understanding on what a spoiler is. That's why I usually mark my reviews as "including spoilers" if I think something might be, as you said "spoiler-ish". I don't want to ruin someone's fun watching, just coz I was not sure about the spoiler part...

I agree with the opening about why write a review, the need to share my ideas. And I think this is the main problem…
Well, we can try working together to make our reviews shorter, coz it's something I definitely struggle with myself lol

I have to say, your comment helped me a lot. When I read that you wrote spoiler free review and added the spoiler part in comment - truly brilliant and I wish I knew about this idea earlier. Kind of frustrated it didn't cross my mind while writing all the reviews.

So thank you for enjoying my article, and thank you for sharing your experience and introducing to me this smart way of dealing with spoiler free reviews while discussing spoilers under hidden comment :)

It's as if you wrote this article just for me and looked deep into my drama soul. I started a blog for my review…
I am so happy you connected to whatever I wrote. I honestly always thought I hated writing coz I always felt like I need to write in a specific, proper way. But now that I write what I want in my own style, it's so much fun! Hope you will find some joy in writing too :)

better. One of them became a normal human being with stable job and nice personality. Good character development is always better than staying shitty but having bad things happen to you :)
