Like it started with live triangle, but then they added the brother too... and she was close to dying. So much happened in just their story and somehow it was still boring hahaha

to be fair, Woo Yeon CLEARLY told Joon Soo before they started dating that she is not over Lee Soo, that she cannot bring herself to like anyone else and that it would basically be her using him and he would end up being hurt. And he said okay, do it, I don't care. He is not a child. He willingly got himself involved. And he is not as perfect as people think he is. But the end, he started to be quite obsessive and more than once did whatever he wanted without caring if Woo Yeon likes it or not.
That's the thing about this show: all the characters are flawed.

but yeah, I could not rate to Teh with how he was written and how Billkin acted the role.

And you are totally right that even tho it's full of nonsense, it still carries some important messages, especially from Nott's character.

The last episodes focus more on the relationship between Da Jung and Dae Young. There will be scenes where the kids start to see more of the perspective of the dad and see they were too quick to judge him for not caring, when he did in fact, but there will be no one on one discussion about it.
Last episode we only get to see kids with the dad and him truly helping/supporting them as the father.

the time skip is always an easy way out to "fix" problems, as you can excuse whatever you want with "it happened in that time skip". But it's lazy writing and I truly hate it.
I honestly don't remember that many details from this show tho, since I've watched it 2 years ago hahaha

for me, it was unnecessary conflict. For me the fact Oh-Aew wanted to openly date and Teh was just figuring out his sexuality and was not read was enough.
I rather have well explore one conflict than having many but none satisfying me completely.

Many people enjoyed the show for Mew and Gulf chemistry as Tharn And Type and was able to ignore the problematic stuff. Good for them. Me, at the time of writing the review, studying clinical psychology, could not. It's hard to ignore these things when you are studying the field.

I actually rewatched many scenes before writing the review to make sure I have everything right, so the fans can't call me out for misunderstanding anything.

I think I dropped it because of the lack of team-bonding. This is one of the reasons I even like con artists shows and movies so much. While it might have been more interesting and fresh approach, when most people worked for themselves, it was not something I was looking for.

and yeah, the flashback in the flashbacks were a bit too much.

Great review btw. Makes me not want to pick the show up again, which is a good thing, since I was not sure. But with how you described the directing and writing in the show, it's for sure not my type.

I'm not saying the crying scene overall did not fit. But they were making some scenes way more dramatic than they truly were. Not all, but some.

As for giving up his spot for uni, I still believe it was selfish thing to do. It was a decision that was suppose to make himself feel better and less guilty. If he truly thought about Oh-Aew, he would not make it. Also, Oh-Aew did not just give up on studying, but overall taking the exam. He gave up on his dream, so with what logic Teh thought he would accept the free spot. He said he thought about it before deciding, but he truly didn't. It was an impulsive and stupid decision that hurt everyone (Teh, Oh-Aew, Teh's family).

Yes, they are teenagers, but even for teens they acted over the top and overdramatic making truly dumb decision. The actions they took are not a norm for teens.

I still enjoyed the show. First 3 eps were for sure the best, but episode 4 left too much of a bad taste for me to give it more than 8.

His parents are doctors, pretty sure they just had a chat with a psychiatrist colleague about the situation. makes sense, they know psychiatrist, they can quickly ask during the working hours lol

Sang Ha "leaving" after the race was such a stupid shit. Like.. he won LITERALLY coz he wanted to be with Jin Won. So he can pay the debt and make sure Jin Won is safe. So they can now run together without the worry coz gangsters fucking shit up.

?? are you serious? 8 is a high rating. This drama is not perfect for me, so I'm not gonna give it 10. It's 100% fair rating. It's not like I gave it unreasonable 1 or something.
I'm 100% not a comedy enthusiast. I like comedy being small part of SOME shows, but I do not need comedy for me to enjoy a show and give it high rating.

I wished you would explain more what were the problems with directing and editing in the review tho, since it's an important part of the show for you and impacted the overall rating so much. Without it, I am sure many people will assume your review is just a "troll" tactic.

I'm quite curious why the show you claim to be "Not bad, it's just okay." you rated 1.5? Your overall rating is lower than all the average of the sub-rating by quite a lot. What would you rate actually bad show then?

Some people love this show hahaha But yeah, it had great beginning but it truly led to nothing.

I have dropped the show early on, so I'm talking ONLY about the beginning episodes. Truth to be told, a relationship that was build on a lie has quite a small chances of not becoming toxic. And it does not necessarily mean any of the people will deliberately make it toxic. It will be hard for DM to ever be 100% sure if she made a right choice and if she would feel the same for DS if it was not for the initial connection via the letters. It will be hard for DS to be sure DM likes him for who he is, and not for who he was in the letter (as it was not him). He might always try to prove himself, adapt to what DM expect. All of these would build tension and anxiety and it would blow up one day.
Realistically speaking they would had a lot of problems in relationship even if they manage to keep it.

This makes me laugh so bad. Honestly they should have make them break up in episode 1 and end not include any scenes with Pha at all. Now we have them "cleverly" trying to hide the face since they don't have an actor to play him lol Even when they were holding a photo of Wayu and Pha and how the finger was EXACTLY on Pha's face hahaha I died laughing.

I can't judge that tbh. I did not connect that much to Teh so I wasn't that into romance between the leads...
