I literally checked comments from last 24 hours on ITSAY and only 2 times was like in the movie mentioned, and none of them was to compare the shows.

"Today a girl went there and said that ITSAY she dropped ITSAY because she couldn't care about the characters." this has nothing to do with this situation. It's okay to state your opinion on the drama on drama page, even if it's negative. It would be good tho to avoid comparisons if not necessary.

not to mention, someone literally created an account on mdl to write 2 reviews one for ITSAY (10/10) and one for Like in the Movies (2/10) when they didn't even have like in the movies on their completed list, or any list. Since all their profile has is ITSAY. It's just childish behavior that should be pointed out.

I thin they just over dramatized a lot of things, which made me dislike Teh character quite a lot. And there was not enough time to give him proper development or redeem him in my eyes, so the ending did not satisfy me that much. I would prefer more of an open ending too

I didn't say anyone criticizes the show BUT the first comment basically says: like in the movies is good, but nowhere near as good ITSAY. ITSAY is the real deal.
The first comment should end on "It definitely lived up to the hype". Why say it's not as good as ITSAY on this page?

I don't know. I was close to dropping ITSAY after episode 4 coz I found it over the top in many aspects, but at the same time rewatched Like in the Movies 4 times.
Everyone sees value in other things.
What is a shitty behavior tho is coming to a drama page of one show to compare it to other saying the other is better. Immature much.

Exactly. It would be a whole different story if there were no entry exams, and Oh-aew had truly no way of getting in other than Teh giving up. It would be still stupid decision on Teh, but at least it would be not insulting towards Oh-aew. But since he still had a chance to get in, Teh giving up was like saying: you ain't gonna get in on your own, so I will give you my spot. Truly just sad,

I saw a lot of people on feeds talking about how relatable it is, how they understand the characters. This truly made me believe I was just simply not the target audience. I could not relate and connect to majority of the characters, so I was not that crazy about the show itself.

Well, yes. If they want a villain they have to make it human being, unless it's a fantasy or sci-fi. But I think you are missing the point on why are people annoyed with another crazy female ex villain.

Not saying they can't. But cliche poorly written "copy-paste" villain is just lazy writing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I just replied to your "so who wld u nominate to be villain? An alien?" saying, there might be none and it can still be good.

I mean... it is possible to write an interesting conflict without having a villain. It requires good writing skills tho. It's not something we often see in BLs.

I don't see it. The only thing I would complain is the fact they didn't quite well explain the time progression. It was a bit vague.
Except from that I actually enjoyed it all.

the only possible way of getting happy ending with them getting together would be with bad writing. It would be impossible any other way. They would either have to make Vlad go against everything he was saying so far, that he wants to love freely and openly and that he deserves that. Or make Karl randomly be okay with coming out to everyone. Both would make no sense taking into consideration the show and how the characters and their stories were written. Or we could get the famous Korean dramas style "2 years later" when Karl is out and them getting together. Again, bad writing.

I don't know... for me the ending was perfect and I truly don't see how the last episode was worse quality. It's probably my 3rd favorite.

exactly. it was impossible to have closed ending for this one. Some stories do not need closure, life is about the journey not the destination lol

I was SO closed to not watch it. I was so annoyed with everyone hyping it up lol
But one evening I was hella sick and decided to just watch a BL coz usually they are just either fluff or ridiculous mess, and I felt like I won't have to use my brain much. After 6 episodes I have seen I was crying in the shower lol

I see people not happy with how it ended... but like... for me it was a perfect ending. I could not ask for more.
