Theory time.

The kid Sang U was playing with in the past is now the evil mastermind. There was an accident in the house and he was not "presentable" anymore, so the family adopted Sa Eon to take his place as the "rich kid".

When the dudes were shooting targets and the line "Sa Eon took after the father a lot" the reaction was a bit sus. Why? Because he did not took after him at all, coz he is adopted 🤡

Also, seeing how skilled and media friendly (everyone loves him) Sa Eon is, it's weird the family did not "invest"more into him and put him as the forefront of the family. But him being adopted would explain him. He just just a supporting asset, not actually part of the family. It would also explain why he pushed FL away and was cold during the whole marriage - because his life is also staged and he does not want her to face what he is facing. He might think by not getting involved with her on personal level he gives her the freedom to live her life and not be controlled like he is, when in fact bitch is also controlled 🤣

Anyway, that concludes my theory 🙂

edit: okay but also... there was an accident in the past on FL's family side that end up with the son of the Chairman dying and his daughter becoming deaf. So the kid might be the now dead son. I do like my first theory more tho coz it;s more makjang like and also how the fuck would the kidnappers organization even related to anything lol

When the FL talks to herself in her head, did you assume it's an artistic way to give her "a voice" in the show, or did you know some people have internal monologue in their heads? (I know some people don't know it, so I always thought it was fascinating topic).

yes. He was supposed to marry the oldest daughter, but she did not want to. So she threatened Sa Eon that if he does not cancel the wedding that was supposed to happen next day, she will come clean with all the dirt she has on his family. After he confirmed Hui Ju was supposed to marry a trash of a man, he suggested switching the brides, it was a way to keep the other sister happy and Hui Ju safe.
