While creaking a test, he should not be think about how to one-up the academy teachers with a surprising and confusing for kids questions, he should be thinking: how can I accurately check is my students learned everything they needed in my class. Wrong motivation while making a test leads to poorly constructed test with not clear answers.
So for her, it more about the whole academy system being a failure tbh. They are not teaching the kids skills, knowledge, they are teaching kids how to do well in tests by memorizing predicated answers. Shit like that long term makes people stupid, coz they don't know how to handle unexpected situations and any diversion from usual plan, which happens a lot in real life.
ASJHGDFSDGFHDSGJD WHEN HE ASKED HER TO CALL HIM 선생님 I FUCKING DIED! 🔥🔥🔥 I'm going to combust into flames because of this romance, I already know.
This drama is going to be so much fun, coz like... I'm actually against the private academies and how whole Korean educational system work, the obsession over tests and memorizing shit. They teach you how to solve exercises on the exam, not really how to think. Her short class presents it EXACTLY how it is - don't try to understand the author, don't try to analyze it, memorize! Which is so sad.
Making sure your FL in a romance drama does not seem like a complete dick from the start and there is a strong sympathy point for audience to connect to is the set up I want, if they decide to make her actions this bad from the start. If it was a thriller or crime show, I would have less issue. But an angsty romance with supernatural elements? Making viewers connect to the characters is important, and seeing the comments, the writers obviously failed at it
Also, this drama centers as much around FL as the family. At least in said first episode I have seen, it was mostly about her and her point of view.
People have already began judging the FL even before knowing her < both good and bad. And yet only people who criticize her have their opinion being made invalid coz it's too early to judge. I don't see people saying she is an interesting character getting questioned about their opinion. \
Most of my favorite dramas are character driven, I love good character development story, but you need a good set up for it. And I think the drama failed with the set up for the FL.
As for My Dearest - I was obsessed with this show. Don't know if you are using Feeds on MDL, but I basically created a small cult around the show there, when it was airing 😅
There is quite a variety of genres in my top shows, but some titles that come to my mind: Coffee Prince, Hospital Playlist, My Dearest, My Mister, One Day Off, Prison Playbook, Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People, Signal, SKY Castle, The Guest, Three-Body, Work Later, Drink Now.
So just from some of my 10s, there are silly rom-coms, slice of life, sci-fi, crime, historical, fancy makjang and comedy 😅
That said, people are free to criticize and dislike or even hate characters. Be it after 1 episode, 5 episodes or 16 episodes. If people should not be judging the drama and the character so early, then the same goes for people liking and enjoying it - you should not be writing how great it is. It's either fine to judge the show both negatively and positively, or neither. Sorry guys, you cannot have a cookie and eat the cooking.
At some point there were more comment here complaining about others complaining, than the actually "hating FL" comments. The difference is - people who criticize and dislike FL are disliking a fictional characters. While these who criticize and "call out" people who dislike FL, criticize and dislike real life people. For a silly opinion on a silly drama with mediocre writing. Priorities guys, think about them.
Just because by the end she will love the child and protect her, does not mean her initial intentions were supposed to lead to extremely psychological damage. Just because she will not finish her plan, does not mean she did not already take actions to put it in motion. Intentions matter, both morally and legally.
My biggest point is - they did shitty job with introducing her as a character. So far she is not interesting gray character, she is just a dick. Maybe I did not have a chance to watch them, but so far I have not seen a con artists drama/movie where the ML targeted the kid just for money coz they are poor and want more. They usually make MLs either target assholes, or give a solid reason why a kid is involved beyond money.
At the end of the day, whenever someone sees her as evil or not is a matter od SUBJECTIVE opinion, not objective facts. Hence people have the right to call her evil if that's how they judge her. Since my "crossing the line" scenerio is when kids are being used and involved just for monetary reasons, for me she and her family are evil. And they writer need to give some really strong and executed character development for me to like her by the end.

She wants the girl to like her, to form a close bond to her and get to the dad through the kid, so then she can dry the family from all the money and leave. Which would at the end hurt the kid the most. She already lost one mother, and now FL is planning to make her lose another mother figure.
There is absolutely zero way to know what the FL's true intentions are at this point. < I am judging her intentions by what she herself said in episode 1 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
At times people hate FLs for no good reasons. Here they have perfectly valid reason. It's not the same.
Also, the same people who "protect" this fictional female character from hate are the ones who bash the good hearted "stereotypical" female leads. One cannot preach when they commit the same mistakes they are trying to fight against.
As for the comments with capslocks, maybe they exist somewhere DOWN this comment section, but as of now, majority of people are complaining about others complaining.
Literally scrolling down I saw like 2-3 comments actually complaining about FL, and a sea of people complaining about people complaining 🤡
People are allowed to dislike FL and write about it in comments. Instead of telling people to drop the drama, you can stop reading comment sections, if people disliking a fictional character bothers you this much.
