I think the point of seeing them in the workplace was to show Xu Yan working toward a more equal relationship as she gained success in business. This is the reason it ends the way it did with signing day. Instead of signing the divorce papers, they came back together on more equal terms. Their relationship evolved from one based on secrets and inequality to one that is more balanced and open.
I could feel the romance between them even in business. I love romance and I felt more than satisfied with the romance in this. I wanted more family time at the end though.
I know we can't all love it, but for those of us who see the work and talent that went into this production, it gives a negative vibe when someone says it is solid 3. The OST in itself is so beautiful. The lyrics are perfect. I love this drama but don't expect everyone to love it but it is not in anyway mediocre and a 3 puts it below average.

This drama has heart. I cannot even move on. It is such a beautiful drama. I could feel their love for each other long before the break up. Hoaming was more restrained in expressing his love but his actions showed he cared for his Yan Yan..not counting ep 14 when he hurt her.

I noticed it and that is when I changed the way I saw those scenes. They are parodies. I don't know what the director was aiming at but to me it was the parallel between the relationship between Barbie/Ken and the leads and then between Edward/Bella and the leads. Barbie and Ken were the perfectly synchronized couple which was what we saw at the start of the drama. Edward and Bella started their relationship with a secret, broke up, and got back together to have a more balanced and equal relationship which is the direction the leads were going. Well, it is my understanding.

There was definitely a withdrawal. I think he also didn't want to face his feelings for her. He wanted to keep things the same. He could fool himself that he didn't love her as long as she was with him. But once she left, he had to get her back. I rewatched ep 6 again yesterday and there is no way the look on his face when he first saw her at the wedding was an act.
