I got that feeling too. And the fact that he didn't use the information to clear his name and he put Chen Chen first was a build up of his character and made him even more ideal for Xu Yan who didn't have that kind of those from her own biological parents. I am so happy the drama did not follow the book.

I can understand Haoming's distrust of Xu Yan's love because of her lies, but I can also understand Xu Yan's pain and uncertainty. When someone like Xu Yan, who never felt loved by her parents, finds someone who makes her feel cherished and loved, it is bound to be a painful shock when he rejects her love. It was hard for her to trust her heart in him again, just like the boy who cried wolf. I was upset with her at the end of ep 25 when she thanked Jiang Liang instead of Haoming because I was so emotionally invested in them growing closer, and it was disappointing, but the next episode helped😂 They both loved each other. They just needed to step back and see things clearly.

Xu Yan's biological parents did not show her love or put her first. But Haoming still loved Chen Chen after finding out that he was not his biological son. It says so much about his character as he also made Xu Yan feel loved and cared for. It is not wonder that Xu Yan fell in love with him.

Hewas always looking out for her. His family is not bad either. I loved the way his dad hugged him and the way he would kiss his mom goodbye.

As much as it was painful to watch the way he rejected her in ep 14, I liked him in the earlier episodes and felt he loved her. I rewatched the scene where her hand got hurt and he was sincerely concerned. I know he felt moved that she blocked the knife in an attempt to save him. This is why it was strange he left her waiting for him at home and didn't answer her call. I also rewatched the hospital scene from ep 2 when sat by her bedside and even cautioned the nurse to be gentle. He is not a evil person. I like him.

He regretted it. At this point he wanted her back. Do you think he used this as a way to keep her close to him? Everything he said at the dinner with Mr. and Mrs. B was the truth and not an act. I moved on from ep 14 quickly because I was convinced he always loved. People make mistakes. And people have fears that leads them to make the wrong decisions. He has always looked out for her. It was easy for me to believe he loved her.

I am rewatching it right now, focusing on every word and symbol. For one thing, he thinks she was after his wealth and status and doesn't believe she really loves him. He wants to keep things the way they were because he likes to be in control. If you noticed, he seemed to pull away from her after she got slashed with the knife, trying to save him. Even though he was sincerely concerned for her, he didn't go home to pamper her the way I thought he would. Instead, he stayed with Chen Chen and didn't answer her call. It seemed to me that he was fighting his feelings for her. He overestimated himself, thinking that she would never leave him because of all he could give her. When she did, he realized how much she meant to him. Regardless of what he said, he always loved her.

Some drama viewers can be unforgiving. They only see on thing and nothing else. If they watched closely, he always had a gentle touch. In ep 2 he told the nurse to be gentle and Xu Yan was not awake at the time. It was not fake.

I am rewatching it right now on Wetv. It has captivated me even though I have already seen it.

I am on 6 but I have already rewatched the episodes as they were airing. It is good to start from the beginning to get the full effect.

It was so beautiful the way it all came together. I am rewatching now and the details make more sense on a second or third watch.
