still hate the name change cuz of some delulu fans.. like the bu does use their name even in webtoon version...…
Actually, it's very reasonable why they need to changed the names. BTS only used their real names since they played the characters, but now that they won't in the drama, it's not necessary at all. Also before, the new fans and non-fans misunderstood the fictional storyline and thought the members are their characters. Even until now, some people are asking if this drama is based on true story 😂 It could also disrupt the search engines when people use BTS' real names while talking about the characters/plot. Casuals who aren't watching the drama will still believe what they see in the internet. It's better not to cause misunderstandings and simply let fiction stay fictional.
I've seen him in other dramas before, but the first time I got familiar with him was through "Duty After School" and I'm loving him in the currently airing drama "Begins Youth". He's portraying Cein so well! Also, I noticed how Noh Jonghyun has a soft yet cold face. His gaze is melting me and I kinda have a crush on him lol~
“But why is it so difficult for me to lead a normal life?”
I actually teared up in episode 1 with the scene of Dogeun talking with his mom and how their financial problem is stopping him to even do the most normal things. I don't relate to him and I should be glad that even though I'm poor, I can still do what I normally want and don't have to worry about money. But it makes me sad how there's a lot of underprivileged children out there who has to stop their education and sacrifice their youth. Sorry but I can't help but blame the parents. Why would you even have children if you don't have enough money to raise them? Why is the child working when it's your own responsibility to work? I understand everyone has their own situations, but a lot of poor parents are just careless and it's really frustrating.
But anyway, in this drama, I'm glad Dogeon has his friends on his side to make him experience the happiness that he deserves.
I'm surprised that some people are complaining about the romance but it's not really a big deal. It's only a short part and the male lead's partner is just a side character. It doesn't take away the main plot and every episodes are focused on the police team solving cases. I usually don't like romance in non-romance genres, but this one wasn't that unnecessary or bothering.
Also, in the beginning, it shows the grandpa and his grandson. But in my theory, I think there could be a twist to it... The male lead could've died during an operation, leaving his lover with a child. While the grandpa who's alive is actually another police and the grandson just calls him grandpa as an honorific.
This drama is so good and it's impressive how it achieved 10% TV ratings right in the first episode. But it drops to 7% on its second days. Probably because it clashes with QOT and now that drama is over, I hope this drama can keep its momentum with the double digit ratings. I'm kinda sad that it only has 10 episodes though. It deserves 16!
I love the great dynamics of the characters and it's so interesting how it's set in the 1950s. It balances the comedy, action, thriller, nostalgia. The tone is more lighthearted. It's still a crime genre so it's dark, but I didn't expect episode 4... Those poor babies 😭 How can people be so evil!
PS. I'm curious if any of the cases are based in real life?
“It bothers me when one out of every seven of us is missing. I don’t know why, but I just don’t like it. I hope we can be all together. When we are all together, I don’t even think about wanting to die.”
I've live to this day to watch this drama and I'm glad it's really good 😭👍 They did an amazing job on the build up between the characters and their relationships, along with the actors' portrayal and chemistry. From the awkward first meetings to building trust with each other and getting closer together. I love watching their friendship and brotherhood despite their different backgrounds and problems. This drama is heartwarming with the precious found family trope. But at the same time, the dark themes about their childhood traumas and family secrets are so emotional and intriguing. It's only 4 episodes so far in their highschool part and I'm already feeling many emotions. I can't wait for more angst and I'm especially excited to see the part when the time travel/loop starts.
PS. It's just a shame that this drama isn't distributed on Netflix. The payment for the Xclusive platform is more expensive than the typical subscriptions in Netflix or Disney+. Nonetheless, rich viewers will pay for it anyway and average Kdrama watchers already know where to watch. To the people who don't know, you can freely watch this drama on Dramacool, HiTV, bilibili, etc.
what is so disturbing about an adult doing his job? i guess he wasnt forced to act in this show, so it was his…
As expected, you're bringing up the Japan law and diverting the topic to a different genre 🤦 The only concern here is the inappropriate scenario and age gap that involves a teenager (and I care more because he's also my favorite actor). I'm talking about the reality that he was just NINETEEN years old and the scene was pointless, as if it was only taking advantage of him for the shock factor. It's crazy that you're ignoring that fact to try justifying what's wrong. You're fooling yourself, man.
what is so disturbing about an adult doing his job? i guess he wasnt forced to act in this show, so it was his…
Did you just not read my comment. Doing your job as an actor is one thing, but being a TEENAGER acting a sxx scene with a 40 year old is clearly problematic, disturbing, crazy as it should be addressed 💀
Also, I brought up the movie since at least it was related to the plot (a man adopting/grooming/abusing a child), while this drama can still work without including the unnecessary sxx scene.
Kinda random, but I saw some people complaining about their age gap so I thought Go Younjung is born in 2000s. But only months later did I search about her and found that she's 1996 while Kim Seonho is 1986. They have 10 year age gap, but they're in late 20s+ so it's not a big deal tbh. They don't even look far apart from each other.
I find it funny how the ghosts have advantages in this drama. They can easily touch objects, possess people and disrupt reality. They're casual about it that many people even witnessed it many times. It looks more like they're just invisible instead of a ghost. But I think it only applies to those 2 ghosts in the studio who has special abilities?
Also, the side plot of the side characters is actually interesting. The dating ghost was like "The Beauty Inside" where he appears as different people and I would like to see a separate drama where the cheating wife is being haunted by her dead husband 😂
Honestly, I'm kinda conflicted with the ending. At first, I like it. The two male leads having a good life in the future as a beloved top musician and as a healthy strong hundred year old who are just waiting for the female lead to come back from another planet. But I didn't like it when the alien revealed something went wrong and they have to travel back in time instead. It reminded me of "Death's Game" where after all the things that happened with their hardwork and sacrifices, the only way to solve their problems is just to turn back time. It feels like they just wasted and erased everything in 50 years. I'd prefer if they just continue living in the future, but I also understand that the female lead is important to them and they'd rather save her by preventing her from turning to a chicken nugget in the first place. It's still a happy ending anyway.
Overall, the concept of this drama is so interesting. It's absurd yet also cool, fun and have some emotional moments. I actually like the aliens because they're the "kind" type. They're not aggressive beasts. They're still kinda similar to humans with emotions and intelligence, and it's amusing to see how they're unawarely being silly. I ended up wishing there's more parts about them.
This drama is actually so unique, weird yet funny. It feels more like a sitcom with a sci-fi twist. The humor and characters are so extra. It's such an enjoyable and refreshing watch.
My favorite part is the Interstellar reference, that was the best! It made me laugh so much while also tearing up. Even other time travel dramas never thought about it. Bravo "Chicken Nugget" for your ideas 👍😂
idk mannn this felt so shallow it would have been better if they foucsed on the characters feelings + relationships…
Lol. Did you just ignored how they explored the female lead's childhood and trauma, her parasyte even help her with it. With the plot, this is obviously more action, but they also did good portraying the emotional part.
When the casting news was released and they changed the main character to female, I already knew that this drama was gonna be different. But I'm surprised that it's completely different. They made their own version and expanded the "Parasyte" universe with new characters and situation based in South Korea. This drama is really amazing and the female lead is cool. I'm so satisfied even though it only has 6 episodes. Also, the ending made me smile so much with the cameo of my favorite actor where they pay homage to the original mc and maybe it could be a sneak peek to the expanding universe? I hope there's a Season 2 where the mutants will work together.
PS. I kinda don't like remakes mostly because it's annoying to see people constantly comparing 😂 But I'm so glad that this drama is not an actual remake but more of a spin-off. There's many movies/books that I would like to see be adapted to Kdramas in this way where they just expand the story's universe and show what's happening in the different part of the world. It's actually a creative idea and I hope it becomes a trend. (The one I want is Harry Potter. I'm still hoping even though that's too impossible.)
I just randomly saw this title on the search results... Why haven't I heard any casting news about this drama? But I'm so interested, a time travel suicide prevention drama, aaa it's already making me emotional 😭
This is such a cool, fascinating and meaningful documentary about dance. It feels refreshing to learn about dancing and it's inspiring to see J-hope reflecting on his journey as a dancer. He has overflowing love and passion for it. Jung Hoseok is an incredible artist and person, I gained even more respect to him.
