Actor Wang Xing Yue ( Duke Su) said that Duke Su could not be more intimate with Xue Feng Fei because there was en investigation and he was scared for her security/life.
Duke Su had to restrain himself for her sake.
This also why he asked (begged) her not to use herself as a bait.

Forced? Xue Feng Fei was on the brink of death and suicidal. She was saved by Jiang Li, who, doing so was beaten to death. Xue Feng Fei was a dead woman at that point. She had no hope before feeling guilty of provoking Jiang Li's death.

I think that, she wanted to make amends. And take care of Tong 'Er (her maid), and evidently get revenge on her murderer. Let's not forget that at that point of time SYR told her that her father and brother were dead.

I don't think it is forced. I think that she feels guilty and try to make amends for causing her death. She had nothing to lose as she was an orphan.

She was so on point. That actress (Song Yoon Ah ) stole the show.
You are right. They had an amazing chemistry and she was that good in that character (Choi Yoo Jin ) that I wanted her to pursue him and see where it leads. Even if I know that it is impossible because she is an antagonist.

On the other hand, I was disappointed by Female Lead. The character was dull and not developed.

Ming Ye is rescued after the battle in his primary shape by Sang Jiu. She guards him and heals him in a kitchen tool with herbs. We see that Ming Ye is cultivating. Then he comes back in his man shape.

The last image of the drama showes Li Su Su keeping the Heart Guarding Scale in her hand. Tantai Jin appears in it. And he is also cultivating .

I guess, this means that one day like Ming Ye, Tantai Jin will appear as an immortal in his orginal state. So Li Su Su waits for his returns.
Those two scenes are identical.

I agree, I am rewatching it. I am cutting the last 5 episodes bit by bit because I cry everytime. I would have loved to have a speciale episode.
But I read that youku released videos showing Li Su Su looking for him like he looked for her in never river. I tried to find those but, to date, haven't been able to.
This could alleviate my sorrow a little.

I have never watch this one but you are right. You have to really lack empathy if you don't love TTJ and cry at the end. You are right.

I understand you. I cried a lot at the end and I couldn't stop for a while.
It is because they make us love TTJ so much that seing him desappear brakes our hearts. But, the clues are pointing toward his return.

I think that, they wanted to please the pessimistic people and the optimistic people. This why, this ending is not brightly happy (-__-)

Maybe because the actor said that Male Lead gives Female Lead loves vibes from the start. And it is true, It triggers my emotions everytime I see that. She does the same aswell.

I didn't read the novel either. I found spoilers as I was googling it.
This is a great drama, full of love. I have watched it twice in 1 week since I was adviced to give it a try. And I cry so much. Their love story is so moving.

So get ready to watch with a box of tissue next to you. It worths it.

It is a classic. And the leads are so cute.

Some characters like though love. Unfortunatly he is on of them.

You are welcome. In the novel the ending comes after 1000 years and they reunite. In the drama it is halfway. We see Li Su Su and their daughter 500 years after. So they specifically choose to let viewers believe what ever they want to. It Is not that you couldn't notice, they mislead viewers on purpose hmmmm ^_^
