I suppose Gongye Ji Wu was jealous of Tantai Jin because he was loved by Li Su Su and saved by her. And at that exact moment Mo Nv confessed that she was not a mortal but an evil spirit and that she was previously married to Xiao Lin in mortal realm. But as he was not Xiao Lin, she decided not to persue their romance and left him.

I was suprised when he reproched her that she was telling him the truth and that she should have kept lying. This is where I understood that Ji Wu was not completely a good person.

Maybe he thought that it was not fair that the devil fetus Tatai jin had the love of a girl to good for him when he couldn't have it being an immortal?

This not a sad ending. In the novel they reunite. So this is probably why this is not a sad ending.

I have been told that they bought the Rights to " the beauty inside".
I think that it feels like a remake because generaly speaking : the charateres envolve like in "follow your art". But the situations are differents and there is more characters in FYH.

Romance is a bonus (Lee Jong Suk) : the drama is so cute it is a friend to lovers drama. Male Lead brakes all the Female Lead's barriers against romance. But he does it so respectfully and in a cute way. This is a drama you watch with smile on your face.
Nevertheless ( song Kang) : This one is about a toxic relationship. Male Lead also brakes all the Female Lead's barriers . He seduces her. But he is not a good guy. And she falls for him nevertheless...

Out of topic: Do you know the story of the great diviner in the novel?
I heard that he pursued Ji Shu Ran and they couldn't be together due to her father and at the end he married someone else. And let go of her.

This is not a happy ending to please the fans. I know that it looks dreamy or after life but it is not. As so many people tried to convince my that Duke Su died, I made this thread to explain that he couldn't.
