The trope of an ex-girlfriend returning with kids is one of my favorites but it's challenging to pull off without…
Maybe the Back end forth between overseas and Mainland China was boring. To me those were the scenes, in which the main couple wasn't together. And I wanted to see them side by side in order for the plot to develop. Those where the scenes that dragged the drama to me.
"why fl forgave her mother "? Because she is her mother. Parents ,children and siblings. always forgive one another…
"now it’s all love?" I wouldn't say that. Given that she specifically repelled her mother attempt at knowing where she lives with Sa Eon. And She left the room without disclosing any element of her private life.
She drew a wedge between her and her manipulative abusing mother. she even said : " let's take it slowly" lifting her hand as a way to say stop to her mother. If I remember well.
So this is definitely not what you are saying. It seems you did not watch this part of the show before criticizing HeeJoo. She experiences a fabulous character development in this drama.

Dear @Sacapz : Family is family :) I liked to see the character development of HeeJoo. From gaslighted to fiercely free *_* update : I answered our discussion. In case you miss the notification.
I don't understand why c-(mini)drama writers cannot finish a story properly and why they write nonsensical plots going in every directions without any proper development. (@_@)
I finally watched this cute and goofy mini drama I shelved for a long time, and it was the very first time I have seen a story in which all the plot points are not developed.
In a nutshell : The FL's boss tries to pimp her to get funding for her lab research. So she goes on a blind date with a heir (ML), whose family desperately wants to marry. Will they date?
Aside from the controversy the last few eps were quite boring it felt like they were dragging it idk the ml actions…
"why fl forgave her mother "? Because she is her mother. Parents ,children and siblings. always forgive one another This doesn't mean HeeJoo will still be the victim of her narcisistic gaslighting mother in the future. Remember, she even refused to tell her where she lives with Sa Eon, at the very end of the last episode.
If people don't like Fairytales for what they are. Why suffering watching them? They should not watch them and give us, who like fluffy romcom, some peace, instead of attacking the drama relentlessly.
I am surprised too. Is it because of time travel logic or Gu Nian. Regardless, to me the show deserves more. It is well executed : the acting is good, the pacing and the story also. Yes FL is annoying but does she annoys people so much that they downvote the show? That would be a pity, it is unfair to dislike a show just because one dislikes a character. There is so much time, efforts and money invested in a show. What about all these workers? The show is not only Gu Nian :/
