Yes such a great show. I just finished "fated hearts" as it aired. It was also very good.

I remember her self-punishment : cutting of two of her fingers to ask for forgiveness.
I was outraged. [sigh]

Then, they framed Ji BoZai by leaving his hand print on the crime scene.
Ultimatly, when everything was uncovered and Ji BoZai was taken in custody for murdering the guard. The son got chosen to be a poison tester.

You are right they tested the poison in Sunken Abyss.
But I thought Ji BoZai was poisonned while he was bitten up by Hou Zhao. When he touched the cup full of poison.

Ji BoZai was not chosen as a tester for the poison.

If I remember well, they used to choose 1 poison tester each week. ( In a flashback, Ji BoZai was betrayed by a mother who wanted to save her son by using him as a scapegoat. So that, her son becomes the tester, in order to have a chance to leave Sunken Abyss... But I may be wrong.)

Poisonning Ming Xian over time is horrible. :/

Completely agree. As Ji Bozai got poisonned by touching a cup of Heavenly grief, I guess one of Ming Xian's hairpin or armor part was sucked into poison.
Making it impossible for her to notice. [sigh]

This drama is not perfect, it's low budget, and the story is sometimes over the top. But it is still cute. I enjoyed it.

I didn't went to fall into the stereotypical palace ploy to seize the crown prince position.
But after all this quest. The only logical suspect could only be Ming Xin.

I had 3 suspects for Ming Xian's poisonning :
Situ Ling Judgement hall Officer : But he is a fan
Fu Yue The fox : She is his sidekick
Yan Xiao The physician : His game doesn't fit poisonning Ming Xian

But Now none of them seem to be the culprit.

So, I am suspecting Ming Xian's brother the Second Prince Ming Xin.

The ending was weird though. I didn't get if he died, she died, they died, one of them died and the other survived or they both survied.

I rewatched this drama 4 times, only to laugh a bit. So it is quite present in my memories. But no worries if you forgot it :)

I take ML for a goofy guy every time I laugh when he is on screen.
This drama is comical like others the writer wrote.
Maybe this why the actor played it that way.

I totally understood why after finishing it. Great acting, Great script, Great investigation, woderful cinematography.

I agree that it was a great show.
I was into it 100%. I liked all the plots and subplots. All the couples and brotherhoods.
Like you I also was very interested in the Princess and the Emperor's love story. I was waiting for them to be on screen so bad. Amazing.

I personnally suspected Murong Yao from the first time I saw him when he met Fu YiXiao. Because I found weird that I was so eager to inviting her at his place. To me it was to kill her.

About SeiGe's amnesia arc in the storm alliance. To me it was necessary to help the elders see was forgiveness his and set a precedent. Which might had helped them see SuiGe in a new light. ( especially his doctor). Because they hated SuiGe.

The drama is almost perfect to me. I would have loved a better chemistry in kisses (fishkiss) but the story and everything made up for it. I ended up giving it a 10.0
I totally loved the drama.
