I wished they just wrapped up GiHun's story or left it open for excitement. Like they could cut on his final scene and make audience guess if he boarded the plane or not. This way if they change the maincast on season 2, they can put a cameo of him in the US. Or they could still continue on his story. I don't really know if season 2 script is done, but I prefer new players. The police and frontman story will probably unfold on season 2. I don't think frontman would give his kidney to his brother to just kill him like that. And yes, I'm proud I figured out the old man from early on.lol
I am currently watching Ancient Love Poetry and decided to revisit AoL page here. TMOPB is what got me into Chinese drama, it's one of my all time favorite but if I would be fair and rank all the Cdramas I have seen, Ashes of Love is the best. Everything about this is perfect. I love not just the romance and angst but also the complexity of the 3 main characters. There is so much good content and intellectual discussions about the analysis of characters like Run Yu. I hope I find something on this drama level again.
I just finished watching the movie version. There it was told that his parents died in car accident and he became…
That's already a reason itself but I do hope they add more into the drama version. Him being scared of abandonment doesn't exactly fit SeonHo's Dusik potrayal.
It looks like it was his wife and kid. Someone just posted on FB some photos from behind the scenes and Du Sik…
Yeah, that's also one of my other theories. But I feel like it's not what the writer would choose as somehow for me him being not able to moveon from his dead wife and kid doesn't fit the tone of the drama and might diminish the romance between him and HyeJin. Probably he personally knew the family and either accidentally killed them or he wasn't able to save them. This also adds a complexity to his character, remember when everyone was dismissing any negative theories about him, this adds a not so spotless layer to him.
My other theory is that he is probably sick, or maybe losing his eyesight soon that's why he loves taking pictures and appreciating his view.
I had a lot of theories about what happened to DuSik on that 5 yr period, but based on Episode 6 I do think he accidentally killed a family. Clues : Talk about self driving cars, maybe it is not a reference to StartUp. Maybe it was a car accident. Also we do not see him driving outside the town.
That photo, it could be the family portrait of the family he accidentally killed.
The nightmares, that bloody hand was probably the father in the family. Guilt manifestation in his dreams.
Maybe DuSik promised to live the rest of his life in service of others as a form of atonement.
I'm so far on ep7. The beginning same as usual lakorns are kinda cringey, specially when you are not used to them. But later on, I now find myself laughing out loud, it's ridiculous and dumb but it's funny when you just accept it haha Editors have also been using these free youtube soundeffect, but they do work to create the wacky atmosphere. The drug addict scheme is so hilarious.
When she's her normal self she looks like Shin SeKyung, when she's disguised as Faidam the resemblance to Yaya and Fonthip is really uncanny. I can't wrap my head around it.haha
Ik-Jun's eyebrows are so distracting, looks like they were heavily drawn with pencil.haha But he's still my favorite character, the fun and positive energy he always bring is amazing.
i wonder why the people who got bitten by the tiger did not become zombies. maybe it was because all their limbs…
Yes, I remember that. But now I wonder how did the virus spread in the military camp? If Ashin directly ressurected one soldier, wouldn't all other soldiers that that prime zombie bite just die? How come the zombie virus rapidly spread? Maybe I missed something from the film.
Im not sure whether I understood what the director was implying? That man who went to the pig house where ashin…
Yes. From what I see it was also not a one time thing. She was probably repeatedly raped and by several other soldiers maybe. She didn't fight back as she understoos that she couldn't stay in the camp if she kill them, asking for anyone's help also won't work. She accepted it all so she could continue spying Jurchen believing Chirok would one day avenge her father. It's terribly sad, all the hardship she and her father endured, I cannot blame her for starting the pandemic and wanting everything destroyed.
Any suggestions of other series like this and Vincenzo? I see they follow the same formula, evil Villains and OP (Overpowered) main lead. Whereas Vincenzo has that suave feel and overpowers with wit and strength, Taxi Driver carry dark elements and rages with brawn and organised intel, both indeed satisfying in their own way.
I love this series but I admit that the factor that keeps it from its full potential is the decision to only make it 16episodes, I think even 20episodes is not enough. If they made it longer and kept the original flow, it will probably be more satisfying rather than changing it midway trying to wrap things up quickly and losing the subtle elements that gives the original episodes their flavour.
Episode 14 is a good adrenaline rush, but if you look at it closely it lacked the spark of the earlier episodes. It relied heavily on action sequence and too convenient plot. Why didn't DoKi just tell HaNa about the basement? Why does he always insist on fighting 1 vs 1mil? At this rate he can join Avengers lol And you're telling me none of those thugs carry a gun?
I wonder what's the ending from the original writer. I do like the earlier format but I believe that is more suited for a long running tv show, given that this only has 16episodes I understand the decision to change the writer and actually try to tie in the whole story rather than going on a episodic format (no matter how entertaining the original format is).
Omg I absolutely LOVE the 2ML... Probs ship him with everyone except Petch lol
YES! I like Pon a lot from Tra Barb See Chkmpoo and thought he's very handsome, but surprisingly in this series whenever I see him together with 2ndML I just focus on Rut. He definitely outshines ML for me, and also his character is calm and likeable.
Never thought that I'd end up bawling my eyes out for Jung Ba Reum at the end
me too. goes to show we're all emotional creatures (except psychopaths maybe) lol if we did not see his other sides and his struggle there's no way I'd feel any sadness for him after everything that he has done.
She needed evidence that killing fetuses with the predator genes is better for the world. In general, people's opinion are triggered by emotional response to whatever current events are going on. Without BaReum's killing and also adding the fact that YoHan turned out normal, people are more likely to be less radical and say killing fetus is against basic humans rights. By letting BaReum go on killing spree, this will heighten people's fear and anger over letting anyone with the predator genes to live. In another perspective, her motive was 'good' as she sees sacrificing the lives of a 'few' victims will push the citizen to favour having the 'kill fetus with predator genes' law pass, which would lead to a safer world. In the end she got what she wanted anyway. The citizens were still emotional over Bareum's murders and ended up voting in favour of that law.
