Especially when his entire people hold his father responsible as the traitor.
it is even worse in the novel - however his father was a hero, not someone despicable... and his family house was preserved and kept in intact state. also it was around 100 years of slavery for his tribe - any way at least screenwriters are showing now to the viewers more of his tragic life story
can someone tell me in what chapter of the novel Wei and Jiang will have a real wedding?
the novel has 141 chapters... it happened at the end of the war after Yue Luo helped PY army to attack enemy from both sides... so should be 100-110ish? and there was no real wedding - just very short ceremony in the front of his father and sister graves and 2 clan elders as witness
That area is essentially a watch tower to warn others and set traps to delay. A Le is not really meant to fight,…
yep, that house would have been destroyed in first place, bells removed from the bridge etc. ;) so looks like all the soldiers and their commanders were completely brainless
Also one thing was to rescue a boy, the other to send him back - both actions were traceable and would question ML loyalty to emperor... you are deeply hidden in the enemy territory, you are not making such mistakes
Why would you hide in the place which is an obvious to be under watch of all city elders faction? When you are scheming - you do not talk about your plans in the front of xxx guards, don't you? you would only tell your most trusted people and they will relay your orders further down... without saying that WZ has something in his possession which could be used against Pei family etc I love sloppy screenwriting š

Well, just for that behaviour during his trip to capitol he wouldn't get there alive... The watch tower only make sense if he would use some signal to alarm others about soldiers crossing the bridge... He was even delaying his own departure when he trapped soldiers - the bear hunting trap would work better ;) but it would be still counted as hurting Liang soldiers on Yue Luo ground and fierce punishments for clan mates
I came here just to write the same thing after watching the last episode 𤣠It was really unnecessary to make…
in the novel you can see that he loves her and does a lot for her wellbeing - he is not a stalker, or obsessed psycho... but yes, he is trying his luck to get a girl... he kept her place intact for many years and it was the only place where he could really rest after day of fights in the court. He made a choice to put political career over his happiness long time ago and despite his deep feelings he couldn't change whom he was and what he wanted the most.
Pei Yan is better off being a calculative person. also the camera is mostly focused on his forehead/eyes more…
well, I feel sorry for him sometimes as at the end of the day his neck has to pain a lot... He sometimes looks crooked... but yeah, he is much taller than everyone else on the plan.

well, there are still short dramas and romance dramas... why would you expect political intrigue one to be simple? more complex the plot, the better... at least from my point of view. I did enjoy MoGA - both romance and plot... but best suspense series this year was Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty :)
It felt so choppy and didnāt make much sense. Same with the soldiers and the trap involving the young guy⦅
well... imagine being an army patrol send on mission and abandon it as all soldiers were scarred of the girl? 𤣠and yep, that boy catching them into net trap when you know that your tribe will face strong punishment if anything will happen to Liang soldiers on Yuo Lue ground
āKeeping the essence of the charactersā? Certainly not in Pei Yanās case or anyone of his clan. He has been…
well, they could tone the level of cruelty and show more of the real face of emperor to build up better the reality in which main characters were living. Emperor is like a scourge on that land - you can't trust nearly anyone and you have to be a scheming master as even your closed family members can betray you to gain emperor's favour or to simply survive. Traps within traps, huge schemes which will cost life of thousands people... I do agree with you that without reading novel in full its hard to understand this drama, as screenwriters showed us only a part of the picture and from all leading characters Dr Cui is the one most close to the original. So we have a lot of different opinions about MLs, their motives and actions :)

Like the bridge one with an army patrol
