I do understand that ofc it won't be possible to film a novel as it was and screenwriters need to make necessary…
He is wearing it when he goes to Yue Lou or interacts with his sect members as these people have no idea he is actually WZ
Also... they way how she travelled to Yue Lou was totally different ;) He simply got her kidnapped from PY mansion and she was transported drugged and hidden in the box by his team. He met her half way and then as she couldn't keep his fast movement pace him and uncle Ping (who disliked the girl) were carrying her on the shoulders... and uncle Ping was always grumbling that Young Lord is too kind and why do not put her into sack and let Ping to carry her?
So basically Jiang finally escaped Pei and as soon as she did first thing Wei does is betray her trust and pulls…
He is used to keep things for himself - and he believes that less she knows safer she is. Both him and PY were trying in the novel to keep their dark secrets and scheming plans details away from her.
Well that's another screenwriters idea... they were called Moon Tribe as it was related to the God of Moon legendBut…
Yes, he was emperors favourite male, the book doesn't hold on and we can read some details of their relation as well as the tragic stories of other yeo luo slaves.
Let us be clear both men, PY and XWX are both using JC in their own way. You wait until she finds out that he…
In the novel YuDie never said to emperor that PY was his son... she only said he was born pre-matured which made their live very hard within Pei clan - it was emperor who flattered himself thinking that PY is his son... However she did that on purpose as at that very moment PY life was on the stake and that info actually stopped emperor in taking a move against Pei family
I don't like the way how they are making her being a villain - she deeply loved her son and together with his uncle she was doing everything to back up PY actions and keep him safe and sound as well as ensure his future. They both were working hand to hand - the only thing she and PZ kept in the secret was a proof that emperor staged a coup to get a power.
She wasn't instigating him to kill FL too, she told him that if he wants to keep her at his side he can make a girl his concubine. But in the drama she is much more cruel and devious :)
Idk what is wrong with this Yueluo people? Like why name your country Moonfall??? And why is your national dish…
I do understand that ofc it won't be possible to film a novel as it was and screenwriters need to make necessary changes first to pass censorship and secondly to make the story less violent and brutal and highlight a romance part of it... But some of their ideas are simply stupid ;) Like today: would the group of soldiers really let that young boy go after catching them in the net? why he was waiting for so long and let them catch him? then FL goes down to protect that teen and what? she injured their leader hand and tells them its poisoned and they are running away??? seriously? and ML is standing and watching that? Btw. ML was always wearing human skin mask in public + veiled hat, and only very few people knew his real face

Well that's another screenwriters idea... they were called Moon Tribe as it was related to the God of Moon legend But there was no bitterless porridge in the novel and FL wasn't searching for a flower to make it. In the novel Yue Lou tribe is living in the mountains and they are very famous for their beauty. As a small tribe they had been oppressed for a hundred of years by two neighbourhood states which ofc were much bigger and more powerful. They were supposed to deliver very high tributes in grain and embroidery (which was very exquisite and only made by their embroidery masters) and in slaves - young children who became later male and female prostitutes (katamites and songstresses). They tried to rebel in the past but they had no chance to win. So they came out with a very long term plan which will allow them to regain freedom and became the vassal state. So WZ was originally a child slave send to the palace where emperor spotted him at some point... and then you can guess the rest of the story. He had to endure a lot to survive and became emperors favourite. As such despite having a lot of power in his hands he was despised by a lot of nobles.
Both the ML and SML are physcos. Thx to the inconsistency of the writers. The ML from E1-10 is just Cruel and cold…
Well, these are mainly problems related to the changes in the storyline... Drama deviates a lot from the original course of events also characters and their actions as well as approach to each other has been changed. A lot of viewers says that they wouldn't fall for someone who has tried to kill them despite knowing his reasons - in the novel WZ was never ever that cruel to JC like he was in the first 10 episodes of drama as well as he was planning everything very carefully so if any of his people got killed it was just because no one is able to control everything and ofc his opponents also made some progress in their investigations. Also JC didn't interfere with both ML plans that much - she heard the voice of the assassin so PY (who actually wounded her as he was the attacker) saved her life - when she regained consciousness she also overhear the very main reason why he asked Cui to save her at all costs... she was trying to make him let her leave and then she tried to escape. He predicted her moves and create an opportunity just to put a trap to lure out the assassin... She is not as much naive like in the drama - she is pure and upright, very curious (and we know that curiosity killed the cat), she has an excellent qinqgong and Pei Yan is trying to discover which martial arts sect she belongs too... PY despite getting more and more attracted to her fed her a long term acting poison to be sure she will stay and cooperate. ML also fed her a poison to make sure she won't recognise his voice during birthday party... and promised to give her an antidote when she will complete mission. The political situation and level of scheming in the drama is on master level - there are hidden traps within a traps, false friends and false enemies - you can only trust your closest family members - thats the world they are living in.
In terms of romantic relations - both MLs will fall for her - PY as first one - she was very beautiful and so different from other women (who were very eager to serve him) - to repay for saving her life she will offer to be his maid and he will have no intention to let her go. ML will ask her to identify someone else (real bastard who was slaughtering, raping etc. his own people and his crimes were always covered up by general Bo) - she will check up if that person deserves a death before doing so...
It takes months for her to understand ML - he will fall for her hard and never harm her the slightest since he will start having feelings for her...
if you don't want spoilers better not check up OSTs on youtube... I did that and I am regretting...
looks like they screenwriters changed original story even more then I was thinking off they took some events from a book and mixed them with a total fiction :) So they have made JC a princess and Emperor will know about her and invite her to the court... then if to believe spoilers will try to poison her... there will be also a war no idea about order of the events
its is going to be fun in next episodes as she is staying for sleepover π
that's sleepover not sleeping together... I am not mistaken shameless cat will be a gentleman and offer her a bed and sleep on the floor... but ofc he won't be allowed to sleep well π€£
Dr Cui is actually real prince in the novel and PY family was protecting him well... He didn't want to get involved…
You are welcome :) Novel is much more complex than drama so they can't show everything... and its good they don't do that as we have more romantic and funny interactions between leaders. There are some funny conversations in the novel between ML and FL but not so many comparing to the drama... Also the case of Yan sisters who were assassins (and one of them being a FL master) its screenwriters idea. There was no wedding trap... as well JC wasn't forced to get married with PY (what I think will take place in the drama based on promo videos)
My problem is that they decided to give him this controlling behaviour that we see in toxic men in our times.…
they did interact but yes, he couldn't see her face! one of the very first scenes takes place in the country side when she was confined (or rather left to die) by her aunt... and Zisheng was chasing her grandmother brother during his investigation armament case the very scene when she is giving him a hint about someone hiding in the pile of hay ;) then it was again in her family mansion... so he took some interest in her... but the moment when he really saw her was like dotting the i letter :)
Dr Cui is actually real prince in the novel and PY family was protecting him well... He didn't want to get involved…
Yes, he was aware of his identity... but readers will know about it at the end of the novel, when PY will tell him to be very careful when leaving residence as someone is watching him and it might be emperors people who actually find out or are suspicious about his background. From earlier conversation with Lady Pei - we know that they are hiding a prince. So readers can add 1 to 1 and ... we know his real identity... he was also a sect master of a small martial arts sect which disciples were specialising in medicine and war machines/weapons, formations construction. The master of the sect was allowed to have only 1 disciple in the life time and only master of the sect had an access to their all secret knowledge.
He is portraying WZ from the novel very well :) Who usually had stone alike face and only some emotions/feelings…
both ML are so evenly matched in the novel and in the drama... they are worthy opponents I love the war of looks :) but that's what you should expect from seasoned actors!
My problem is that they decided to give him this controlling behaviour that we see in toxic men in our times.…
LLTG stayed true to the novel... He had fallen for her from the first sight when he saw her for a very first time during lantern festival beautiful and care free - and yes, she was very unruly, mischievous and poorly educated as her parents left her with greedy granny and vicious aunt... I was thinking like: omg! girl! what you doing! when I was reading a novel... and she was exactly the same in the drama... Any way... I could see why he has fallen for her on the spot :) ofc he couldn't even imagine what kind of trouble she will make him in the future...
Also... they way how she travelled to Yue Lou was totally different ;) He simply got her kidnapped from PY mansion and she was transported drugged and hidden in the box by his team.
