CYQ is the real love of Amai... but he is a general killer of an enemy army. They are going together through life and death situations, promised to kill each other on the battleground but always save each other lives...

Amai and him have so many interactions, they have fought on many occasions, even wounded each other but after all always save each other lives despite saying that they will kill each other :) I would say that when the war will be over and after travelling together through the world and finding some nice place to live in seclusion they would make a perfect couple... but the scars would always remind them of the past and years of war and all lost lives... can they come over it? thats probably why the book has an open ending... but this couple has a real chemistry in the novel.
YZ is there but he is her marshal not the object of romantic feelings and yes, he likes her but its more like an admiration and respect than passionate love, he values her military genius - that's why he allowed her to became the military in the first place. So their romance in drama is simply screenwriters idea...
the ML in the drama can't even shot an arrow into the target and killed by accident CYQ younger brother and that's how good Yi Zhi's archery skill was in the novel:
