good remarks! it really looks like the end of the show from the book I just came quickly through today's episodes - there is no chemistry between her and YiZhi at all... he wants to marry her??? based on what? and his mother is another scheming person (she was like that in the novel too) they are talking openly about Mai being a woman, deceiving of emperor is a capital crime, so in the book they were doing everything to conceal her identity and here even PM will know tomorrow ;)
Based on previews ep 27 and 28 will be still focused around ML and struggle for power... I guess the Beimo army may appear again in the last episodes and it feels that screen writers decided to keep ML and FL together

Well, it was enough to stick to the original story and simplify some side plots and really do not kill main characters in a stupid way... If they had no budget/intention to show all the battles they could add some animated scenes + narration from military journal and that would do There was enough of romance content between Amai and Chang Yu Qing, and secondary characters to make the story interesting Also there is more loopholes and stupid plots in latest episodes... You have huge Beimo army within your borders and you are considering withdrawing your army from the recently defenced city to take it to the capitol as a bargain chip? Also, Amai had a wedding with Xu Xier - and now Xu Xier is still a maid of General Shi wife? and when we see both girls on the screen there is no interaction between them? You are making a plot with peeping Tom... who is spreading news that Amai is a woman, and you are killing 2 guys as a solution? and forcing valuable bodyguard to suicide after hearing Xu Jing story??? and thats it... like the half of your army suddenly stopped to suspect Amai that she is woman?
