you missed a shot and you hit a guy who was clearly running to catch your target and screaming he will kill him... I think you should check if that person is still alive or at least who was it...

its not a first drama when main leads got reduced to supporting characters...

I think that in next episodes we can expect to see a plot of PM + Grand Princess who will try to get a rid of Amai as she will be clearly a marriage obstacle - ML wants to marry her not LR

Chen Qi probably colluded with someone from court as his army is still sitting and eating popcorn ;)

Also in drama he is a key to power for his manipulative adoptive mother and I doubt he will be able to oppose her decisions.

He should tell her truth and try to find out why and how that happen... also I think they were talking about Duke Wei so his adoptive father not the former crown prince - instead of showing that Amai really has no compatibility with ML screenwriters just made up another stupid plot twist ;)

as a leader of the nation you want a person to be considerate of his subject lives, being reasonable and listen to advisors, but keeping his own judgement and being aware of deceit
And anyone including his mother can manipulate him in the drama
he has Xi Jing and Amai to advise him but he is no opponent to Prime Minister who is supposed to became his father in law...
So I would say without proper character development he will make a puppet emperor

here is the novel and its a good one, however very different from a drama

that's just stupid plot twist and its not a first one in this drama...

thats the story in the novel - but Yi Zhi from drama has different personality then a male from the book, I think he is going to make some serious mistake so she will decide to leave in the drama...

he is too immature for her also if you will close a tiger in the cage will it became a kitty? no, she won't make a consort or empress - not after the life experience she had

exactly - missed opportunity! if they could only stick more to the novels plot and do not change ML as well make a romance out of blue show would be much better... atm its not even about Amai but rather about ML becoming an emperor

based on OST I would say that we can expect similar ending to the novel one - so she will retire from army and leave
current plot events are not really pictured in the book - Amai only is getting news about Yi Zhi progress in the fight for power as his adoptive father duke Wei is still alive and his army is helping Yi Zhi to rebel in another part of the country.
Amai was supposed to fight for 6 years against Beimo and build up a modern army with artillery and firearms and use her military genius to plan war traps as this was the only way to withstand much bigger Beimo army which had over 300 000 soldiers.
She haven't seen Yi Zhi for 4 years and really had no romantic feelings towards him...
After Chen Qi suicide and capitulation of Beimo army she will refuse an imperial order to cross the border and attack Beimo as she doesn't want any other war
Yi Zhi who in the mean time became an emperor will summon her to the court and throw into the the prison and he will send her two pair of outfits - woman's dress and an armour and send Lin Zerou (his queen) to talk to Amai
Amai will meet him in private (after being dressed up beautifully) and then show him her body full of scars and asked if this body is still good enough to be his concubine...
and ofc she will refuse to stay in the harem...
He will let her free and she will promise to put an armour on if the country would be invaded in the future.

not at all - 25th and 26th ones are only focused on court plot

As he said - she saved his life few times... so I guess she is his hero ;) and that comment that prime minister daughter is not as good looking as Amai shows clearly how much he cares about his woman personality :D
Also it is so funny to hear ML mother and then others saying how much he has grown up! and I really can't see his character build up
