there are some great scenes in the novel which are missing in the drama... imagine that Amai's bodyguard (Mu Bai) during escape from occupied town literally throw her (she was paralised that moment with poisonous neddle) into the arms of Chang Yu Qing? Saying: cath it! He knew they won't be able to escape as his horse was already tired... as well as he noticed that there is clearly something between Amai and CYQ, so was sure she will be safe! and CYQ seeing the rest of Beimo chasing soldiers close to him simply throw her into the weeds in the forest ;) ofc he came back later to save her...

Well, CP killed himself to ensure that no-one would question Yuer's background as only real father could use his life to protect a son - I would say he had more options and really didn't have to do it to deal with Prince Kang - but that's very convenient way to get a rid of CP so our ML could became an emperor

The drama is good and quality one and some actors showed superb acting skills :) music and osts are beautiful too, so in overall its enjoyable the book is much better and with different plots, so for me drama only took an idea and characters names from the novel
