I believe that things won't go wrong this time! and look how nicely novels plots has been modified and wrapped! Song Mo parents, fathers mistress and half brother story was for me less believable than a way how its presented in the drama. Making Song Han mother a musician who was a daughter of prominent family, which was involved in cooperation with Japanese pirates and as such punished by Duke Dingguo on Emperor's orders - made Jiang family in Duke's eyes enemies... Then emperor granted marriage with Madam Jiang... well... he hated a woman and her family... so he hated even more Song Mo... with his minority complex and cruel personality his actions are understandable... for novel readers - drama is another alternative reality - at least for me - and it shows how living circumstances, family, friends, enemies and decisions taken at the same point can impact someone's life path
