why didn't she run? club with police coming and people running out and shes picking up her phone to make a call?I…
If you look closely, she didn't dropped the bad immediately cause the alleway where she was had a cctv camera, so she knew they were gonna be able to link the bag to her.
Also, I think the call was justified? If I went to the club with my boyfriend/date then get divided and see people running away without knowing tf is going on I'd call my boyfriend too; hell, I'd want to make sure he's safe and to try to get reunited with him.
The only thing I could fault her for is that after she found the drugs in her purse, she freaked out and did not start to run away immediately; that way maybe she would have been able to get out in time from the club. Poor girl is barely 20 and never did shady things in her life, so I kind of understand why she panicked.
(About the trial... Idk about law in Thailaind so really idk about that, but I'll accept it for a drama lmao).
Terrific display of how to use dark humor to retell a very dramatic history event. It was so well played that sometimes I had to pause and walk around the room; once peeled off all the layers with overdramatic and sarcasm, it really encapsulates a very telling criticism about society and human hypocrisy, especially the ones in power. It masks itself as a comedy, but it's more like a tragedy lmfao.
I somewhat agree. We have already 8 episodes out and somehow in those seven-eight hours they managed to give us…
I just said that the plot per se isn't bad and I just feel like they've introduced too many characters without flashing out what they already have and getting us to care more about all the protagonists (not only about Tang Lici). As a matter of a fact, the blood feud between Liu Yan and Tang Lici is the thing that interests me the most: their past scenes did get an emotional response out of me, that's way I'll keep watching ^^ That's just how I feel tho. In no world this is a bad production lmfao.
I am usually a huge fan of the show not tell kind of storytelling but at this point, this is losing my interest.…
I somewhat agree. We have already 8 episodes out and somehow in those seven-eight hours they managed to give us both too much and nothing at all. The plot per se isn't that bad yet even if it lacks logic in some point and everything's a bit too extra, but somehow I still really don't care much about our protagonists? Idk, they shoved at us waaay too many dramatic moments/deaths in general for me to actually care, especially since we didn't bond well with most of the characters enough to care about their tragedies.
I'm not used to seeing him in such role. A villain, yes, but a Dong Fang Xi Bai-effeminate-like psychotic villain,…
I mean, I only saw him in Journey to Love, so I don't know him that well, but I must admit that I actually like how they dressed him up. Is it a bit extra? Definitely lmao but I'm enjoying every dangling and shiny accessory; plus I'm quite drawn to him as a disturbed individual who's descending into madness from hatred born by betrayal, so I guess his acting is good enough for me. But this could also may be my personal taste coming into play 😂
You're telling me Tang Li Ci's third martial arts brother Fu Zhumei is played by Xia Zhi Guang and they made him only a guest role?? This is so unfair T-T
A bit disappointed by the ending, why is it they can never give us a proper closed ending anymore. Noooo we always need to have those 2 last minutes revealing new informations to leave an opening for another season (which we don't even know if they'll make). Just this will have me give the drama an 8 instead of 8.5 lmfao.
Loved this version of Pangzi, he really really reminds me of Tomb of Sea & Reunion's Pangzi, which is my favorite actor who interpreted this character. Xu Zhen Xuan and Cheng Xuan also did a very nice job!! The older cast was ofc the best, like wonderful acting nothing to say.
All in all a very valid adaptation of the first half of the story, I so hope they'll kept this cast and adapt all the main 8 volumes 🙏🏻
A little boring since it's always the same cast and they kinda always play the same type of character no matter the role they are supposedly interpreting. Also you can often spot the culprit very soon lol. Just started episode 7 and I'm hoping we're not going in transphobic territory here. Like pls 🙏🏻
Actually impressed this is gonna be 18 episodes, I'm on ep 10 and they just sailed for the sunken ship damn doing the whole underwater tomb arc in less than 8 eps?? Props to them.
(not related but this panzi giving both hot daddy vibes + wu xie's mother hen is doing things to me. Just saying but if he needs a wife I'm available.)
I just noticed that Wu Xie is played by the same actor who did Little Mountain God in Fangs of Fortune??? Omg I loved him I'm so glad he got the main role here 😭
It's a new - and more faithful, imo - adaptation of the book series and covers the events of "The Lost Tomb…
A new, linear adaptation of the novels with a fixed cast would be a dream honestly 😭 I have so many gaps to fill even if I read about what happens in the story with spoilers and summaries made by fans.

Btw I'm on episode 4 for now and it's really good! I hope they'll keep the momentum going.
