Tbh, I don't know if he's Haitang's biological son or not, he could well be, but I just don't think the gods would be so cruel at this point, after all they did to make sure Yixun and Haitang would live an happy life together 😭 Honestly speaking, we're talking about magic and miracles here, and after all Nian and Cheng did for their parents, it's not so far fetch to wish that Cheng would have been born in their world in a way or another 🥲
Wonderful drama. Watched it in two days and cried my eyes out from start to finish. Tang Xi Yun and Ye Hai Tang are gonna stay with me for a long time 😭
Japan does like a masterpiece of a serie a year and I guess this takes the crown for 2025.
The actors did a fenomal job, especially Akane and Toya's I have to shout out to them cause damn?? Miyazaki Yu was a pleasant surprise, I really liked her portrait of Akane. She looked so cool playing the drums. But Suda Masaki as Toya, woah, terrific. He was an hurricane and sucked everything in his orbit everytime he was on screen. Paired with Takeru while they were performing, it was one of the best highlights of the drama. I would have like more scenes of the band all together cause it was a joy to watch them interacting.
Loved the music and all the songs, they were all very my style. Story a bit of a cliché and it left me kinda wanting more, it lacked a bit of depth (didn't really feel the romance because, tbh, it wasn't really a focal point and second, I was way more invested in all their bond as friends, but it's also very true that bandmates often develop crushes for each other, so). Overall a solid drama and a great watch!
The fact I already know this is not gonna end well for any of the character I love makes me want to punch my pillow repeatedly, but it's too good to stop watching 😭

First time in my life I see a girl in a historical drama cross dressing as a man and look believable. Princess Yang Ying doing a fantastic job interpreting the role of a teenager prince, she actually act and speak as a fifteen noble young man 👏🏻
On episode 10 and the women in this drama are chef kiss for real my god I'm so happy, I love all of them 😭 The FL is soooo my type gosh I'd let her do whatever to me 💕
Plus the brotherly bond between the ML and his soldier friends is so heartwarming, I love the scenes with them all together teasing the ML about his relationship.
(also the ML's actor is way better than I expected?? This man has very expressive eyes and damn he /knows/ how to play a yearner, I'm liking him a lot so far)
Btw the actor who plays Chu Zhao, damn what a pretty face?? I hope his acting is just as good because I don't have any idea who his character is, but I'm already intrigued by his past trauma + scheming to gain favor.
Saw only the first two episodes and while there are some questionable moments, it left me wanting for more, so I'd take that as a win (still wish they had explained how the hell her master found He Yan almost dead drowning in a river, but maybe they'll tell us later? Who knows.)
Also am I the only one who's having problem with the audio? Sometimes it switch a bit and it turns weird, but maybe it's just because I'm watching the youtube version.
