While I do think Zang Hai suspects the Masked Man to have ulteriore motives, I also think he's too blinded by his hatred and strong desire to get his revenge to actually figure out how much of a pawn he's been for them.
I do suspect that the Marquis has figured out something and is using Zang Hai to take out his enemies, but also I don't know if a man like him who cares that much about family's honor would be willing to take such a gamble.
After all, let's not forget that the Marquis do actually has Zang Hai's parents robes and skin in his secret chamber 💀

Let's be honest, Zang Hai is bashit crazy the man almost let himself burn alive just to prove a point. Respect to him 😭

The plot was messy to say the least, but I love Hei Yan Jing and Xie Yu Chen as characters and the main actors had amazing chemistry so I ended up not minding at all the poor written script lmao.

That what makes him so interesting! He will be really a though challenge for Zang Hai since our lead doesn't have anything at all to control Zhi Xing with.
I'm look forward to see Zhi Xing's inner conflict once he side with Zang Hai, cause of course they'll join hand at first, but for the future? Yeah, we'll see.

Plus, I'm really curious how Zhi Xing and Zang Hai's relationship is gonna evolve. If they start to even become friends and trust each other, oh, how I'm gonna enjoy the struggles that will arise between them once Zang Hai will be set on ruining the Zhang's family and killing them all.

She is! I also love her fashion choices, her style is so elegant and I like how poised she is. She knows how to talk eloquently, but she's still bright and with a strong personality.

I kept reading that Sun has no fault in his friend's death, but let's be real: Sun was the first to unsheathe his knife during the fight and then that crazy korean guy followed suit.
Now, yeah, Kong was the one who jumped in the middle of the fight and it was a stupid choice, but he only did that because he saw how both of them whipped out weapons.
If they didn't get the knifes, Kong probably wouldn't have interfered; instead he ended up stabbed by BOTH Sun and the Korean guy (of course Sun didn't mean to, but yeah).
Yes, it's not entirely Sun's fault (he just wanted to celebrate his birthday okay the poor guy), but let's not pretend that taking out a knife during a fight isn't basically asking for someone to get seriously injured.
Sun didn't mean for any of that to happen and it's mostly fault of the Korean guy, but Sun did play a role in his friend's death.
It's actually good for Sun to acknowledge that and understand that every action has consequences.

Our main characters aren't faultless, they're flawed human beings living in a world of violence and death. We can enjoy them as they are, with their sins and all.

Ngl it has been a while since I saw a drama which such intricate and interesting plans by both the ML and the villains to get/maintain power.
Nodoby is stupid, the main villain is actually scary and it's marvellous.
Enjoying every minute of tactic talks and I'm intrigued by most characters, plus geomancy's theories and all are just a plus for me since I love fantasy.
I so hope they'll be able to maintain the tension like this until the end.

(btw what yall think about Zhuang Zhi Xing? Is the Marquis's second son just playing the fool? Cause he actually seems smart sometimes, but the next second here is he again acting like an airhead. I wonder if he's just pretending...

Yeah, I agree. We also shouldn't forget Zang Hai is actually only 20~21 right now, so there's no way he would be able to remain untouched from all the cruelty and injustice he is experiencing all around him.
He's young and, even with vengeance in mind, he's been brought up by two masters who actually value morals and justice, they made sure to teach him that's vile to sacrifice innocent people to reach his goals.

I did enjoy this season. Tbh I think the winner is deserved, like he proved his abilities and played the game. Overall the contestants were way stronger than the first season.

My problems lie with the production's choices lmao.
First, I think they should have kept the extra games for growing up the money prize in the living area: it was a fun and bonding moment without worries about eliminations and it gave the contestants chances for getting to know each other better and create more mindful connections/alleances.
This season was almost prison against living area in all the games since they were exactly split in two half from the start!
I don't think they should send to prison more than 3 people at time (and then eliminate one with a death game); that way once the next main game start, the alliances and divisions won't be that strong and can be easily mixed up.

Also the main games... I think they should put more individual games on there, like, alliances are fine and all (and I know, they had drama so productions must love them), but individual games are sometimes necessary to see the real abilities of a player.
Games where you actually CANT share informations would be interesting to see.

Ah, tbh I'm fine about the game in the living area (resolving a 8x8 like damn okay you can get those 10pieces) BUT they shouldn't have add the extra rule as 'you can ask for the pieces whenever you want'.
Like Hyun Gyu played it smart and I would have done the same, but its not a fair rule: those are people already in the living area they don't need that much advantage. Otherwise they should have graced Hyun Joo with the same rule and let him request his extra 10pieces anytime he wanted.

So yeah, maybe I'd change those things, but overall it was a good watch.
Definitely gonna watch a third season if they ever gonna make it lol.

She could be! Didn't know the FL was supposed to have a sister.
Otherwise she's probably gonna be the Princess we saw in the first episode when Zhang Hai was still a boy (the one who whipped him).
I don't think they introduced the character of the Princess that soon just to never see her again.

When to check again and it actually was episode three I'm sorry lol I watched them all together so I didn't remeber exactly in which episode happened what.
Anyway I'm taking about the first time Zhang Hai enters the Zhen Tower.
Zhang Hai meets the FL and pays her 7 liangs to stand there to watch the play about the emperor's dilemma about where to bury the empress dowager. While the two of them are watching the play and talking about it, you can see sometimes a close up shoot of the person singing/narrating the play: you only can see their lips and their eyes (for example, at minute 16:11 there's a shoot of their eyes).
I figured they were the Master of the play that the guards actually wanted to arrest and, while everyone believes him to be a man, those shoots made me think it was a woman since they looked quite feminine.

You can't see her, really, you only see her lips once (eating a golden leaf that I think it's for modulating her voice) and her eyes sometimes while the play about the tiger is being narrated (you can see her eyes go big in shock when the FL falsely greet Zhang Hai as the Master of the play).
Everyone believe the master of the play to be a man, but from what they show us both lips and eyes + makeup looked more feminine, but I could be wrong lmao.

The FL is the girl from the Zhen Tower?? I thought she was gonna be the mysterious girl narrating the play in the third episode help thank god im watching this for the politics 😂

That's why I'm worried lol I guess they'll adapt like maybe half of the first arc? Idk how they're gonna warp everything up nicely ngl.
Just adapting the novel for a movie script is already so complicated and if everything else already feels a bit off (miscast actors, props that aren't supposed to be here, the vibes are off, the directing and photography don't convince me either but in the movie could be better so there's hope) it's gonna be extra hard for them to make this a successful adaptation.

Someone just told me that the name Peach, while yes, it can be literal and mean the fruit, it also has another meaning in thai - which is peace, tranquility.
So PeachHome together represent a tranquil home, or as the title says, a Peaceful Property... Excuse me while I go ugly cry in that corner sob I miss them so much 😭
