Is there a possibility that since he’s the author’s favorite character, he’ll be given a different ending…
The ending won't be changed. I think one of the main reasons he is the authors favourite is not just because he's so much fun to write, but also because he is ultimately so selfless and tragic. So I don't think she would change that.
At most we might get a hint of possible reincarnation in another life, but that is a miniscule hope.
People in weibo thinks we support yaoliu cause we don't have any idea of the ending 🤣Bruh, we know everything…
That mindset is so weird to me. It's not about who she ends up with, or the ending. It's about the journey. If you're enjoying a ship, why would you suddenly jump off just because of that? Most of fandom is built around non endgame ships anyway.
& to be honest the ending makes me support it even more.
Does xuan love his sister in a romantic way? Like when she left to meet yi shiqi he was drinking right? Can anybody…
cousins. and yes, he definitely has romantic feelings. Apparently they're not blood related in the drama (though I do remember them saying they shared blood in one episode so... I don't know) But even if they were blood related, I guess it matters little. Gross to us but completely normal and accurate for those times. Though in the context of the drama, Xiao Yao never really feels the same for him, in a romantic sense, so it's unrequited.
Makes me curious... the people here...are mostly women right...are there male supporters of TTEOTM?😄
Yes actually from what I've read it actually did fairly well among male audiences too. Perhaps the fact that the romance wasn't overly sappy probably helped. (Not that there arent also men who enjoy a good sappy romance) but i feel that because it was also a good balance of other things - fantasy and world building, fighting sequence, and character study, probably helped it appeal to both men and women.
i get there are issues with the makeup but am i the only one who kinda loved TTJ's eyeliner? looked very captivating…
I loved his eyeliner. He completely rocked it.
I also didnt mind his makeup (except for a few instances) I thought it was bold and different from what we usually see. I appreciate that they were trying to recreate how he is described in the novel. Sickly with red lips.
I will admit there were definitely instances were it looked off. Sometimes looking much better than others. The execution not always consistant 😅 But for the most part I didnt mind it and thought it worked.
my goodness.. just finished this drama and i need a place to rant. i just cant with the ending eventhough it is…
Sorry my friend. We have all been there. And are still affected because we are all still here obviously 😅
If it makes you feel better the novel has a full happy ending that the drama hints at. Thats what allowed a lot of us to accept it. The open ending. I truly believe though they left it up to the audience to decide, that they were implying his return. All the factors that lead to this in the novel were there in the drama we just dont get to see it. So... that hurts 🤣😭
Here are a few clips that youku released that might help ease the pain a little.
The author is one of the screenwriters and she will not change the ending because her favorite guy is Tushan Jing.
Authors favourite is xiang liu actually. But that doesnt mean the ending will change. She loves xiang liu because she enjoyed writing him as well as the fact that he was ultimately so selfless and tragic.
Just ran away from Tiktok because the Xuan Hate I saw is getting annoying with the excuse of Future episode..…
A character doesn't need to be a good person or a green flag to be interesting and enjoyed. Pay them no mind. Jing may be a green flag but he's also a walking plank of wood unfortunately. (At least in my opinion. Subjective opinion at that)
It's completely okay if Xuan or Xiang Liu doesnt appeal to them (perfectly normal to like different things after all) but its the condescending attitude and hate directed towards those who prefer the other ML's that bothers me.
My first impression of why he is pretending to be someone else is because XY told him flat out she is afraid of…
She didnt mean that she was scared of him in that way though. She clarified that what she meant was that she was afraid she would let him into her dreams if she kissed him. Meaning she would fall in love with him. That is why she is scared of him. Because she knows he has the ability to get into her heart. It was basically a confession of feelings on her part.
But that being said she also said she thinks because of who and what he is, he is not suitable for a girl to be dreaming about so even though he already had the FFB persona and he knows there is probably no future with her, there might also be a part of him that thinks FBB might be more of a "suitable" version for her to daydreams about.
it doesn't. it was just rumour that it originally hd 72 episodes. in reality, there was suppose to be 55 but was…
To be fair the original script for tteotm that was released right before they started shooting had 40 episodes.(still available to read to so you can get an idea of what might have been cut) But they were dense so there was enough material there to increase it. So then it became 34 episodes for part 1 and 16 episodes for part 2. (50 in total) When the regulations came in they repackaged the episodes and made them all 15 minutes longer. So while things were definitely cut out. Especially in that last arc it wasn't nearly as much as sometimes talked about. It wasnt 18 whole episodes of content or anything like that.
Because hes the favourite? 🤣 I know hes technically billed as third ML but he's really not imo.
But in order to miss someone forever you have to also lose them forever. So in a way i guess it could also refer to Xiang Liu too, with a double meaning, even if the title is primarily from xuan's POV. The author also said though they all gain things they want at the end. They also all lose things.
1st of all it's not about who is strong or who is weak. xiao yao is not concern about if her man is strong and…
It is not that we dont understand why she ends up with jing in terms of narrative. but as viewers and readers consuming a piece of media we are looking to be entertained. It stands to reason we would like to be interested and entertained by the character she ends up with. We shouldn't be bored. This doesnt have anything to do with physical or even mental strength or weakness really, it is to do with the writing and portrayal on screen which is lacking to us. There is a way to have him meet those needs while still having a personality and for some of us that doesnt feel there atm. And chemistry is important when buying a romance on screen.
But again its totally subjective. Because obviously other people are enjoying him.
Agree and the drama makes him look particularly weak and pitiful, which typically indicates that he won't get…
I have read the novel and I still think the character is weak. And when I say weak im not referring to strength or power or intelligance and cunning. I mean weak as in the character doesn't stand out to me in any particular way that makes me drawn to it or interested in reading despite this. This is even more prevalent in the drama because the performance itself is kind of weak in my opinion. I feel like im watching paint dry during some of his scenes. It's lacking something to me.. he was instantly devoted and it just feels hollow. Like he's there just to be Xiao Yao's dependable future steady. I also dont feel much on screen chemistry between the actors.
This is all very subjective of course and everyone will experience it differently. Many here enjoy him in the novel and in the show and that's awesome. I'm just not one of them. Lol
Yes, every time there is a quiz on TTEOTM favourite character of Xixi, I just could not choose. It was all of…
Yeah! I probably tipped her off about the ending just from the expression on my face. whoops. lol
I've seen that episode a few times now and it still gets me. If only Nian Baiyu hadn't interrupted them. maybe she would have told him, maybe things would have been different lol.

The eyeliner was always on point though 😍

Then watch love is sweet lol for the bai lu and luo yunxi fluff.
She actually loves them all really. Though perhaps all slightly differently.
