I think it was right after the part at the bridge where Susu talks about wanting to tell him the truth so that she could be with him forever and protect him. One of them obviously picked up on something because she just turned to me and sighed and said "this is going to hurt me isn't it?" 🤣
Yay, new LYX fans! Its huge that they were drawn to his aesthetics given they were new to cdrama, and probably…
Yeah, I mean we're all the kinds of people who love fantasy and the more flamboyant and extravagant styling so I wasn't surprised they ended up appreciating the aesthetics and the costume/makeup. But as they weren't really super attracted to LYX from the beginning, to see them both kind of sit up and take notice during the emperor era, made me chuckle.
Chen Du Ling is very pretty too! One of them even said "literally every person in this is ridiculously good looking.... "
Yes, every time there is a quiz on TTEOTM favourite character of Xixi, I just could not choose. It was all of…
I can totally understand why they loved emperor era TTJ so much. It was one of my favourite eras in terms of his look too. They sat up in their seat like "Holy crap! Now, I think he's hot" during that era. They loved the braids and the makeup and the lush costumes - which is fair enough, cos I felt the same. I think their ultimate favourite was the look he had during the water festival, with the crown and the black feather coat and stuff. Understandable. He and Lulu really were both gorgeous in that entire segment.
But I'm definitely like you too, I really loved all of his looks. Aside from Emperor era, another one of my favourites is the feathery/fluffy blue coat look he wore in episode 7-9. and all of the devil god looks. I can never pick just one. 😂
They don't know what they're in for. They've not completed the drama yet. One of them kind of knows there is a lot of pain ahead and has sort of made guesses and predictions. The other knows nothing. hehe....😂 They might hate me after this lol.
I've been showing TTEOTM to two different friends the last couple of weeks and neither of them have ever watched C-Drama before. It's interesting watching it through their eyes as it's completely new territory for them. They both said they love Tantai Jin's look during the Emperor era the most. One actually said she thought this was when he was at his most attractive and sexy. She wasn't into him like that in the beginning (I can't relate at all obviously... as I've been into LYX from the minute I was introduced to him haha)
I may have converted some new LYX fans!
She also said Bai Lu and Sun Zhenni are "just the prettiest things ever" Which they are. lol
One of them is also a big gamer and so they appreciate the more "video game-esque" special affects as well as the story telling and world building part of it.
That's weird. it's still available here in Australia. My friend is also watching Legend of Anle on Youku from…
Hmm that is definitely weird.
Other than viki, there are other platforms to watch Love is Panacea for free when it drops, like Kisskh.com. They usually get most dramas pretty much straight away. (like within minutes of it dropping sometimes) Without ads too.
Given all the new summer drama releases, have you guys moved on from TTEOTM? I recently started MLC and LYF/LUF…
Not really moved on. But im able to watch something new and fully enjoy it now. 😅 LYF for me too. It's good but I already know it's going to break my heart.
Though I was also watching be your own light for Liu Yuning which was pretty good too.
my gawdd 60 ep in totally they might have cut soo many scenes ðŸ˜ðŸ˜i fear
The original script had 55 episodes in total (28 episodes in part 1, 27 episodes in part 2) and now its 60. So it's possible that very little has actually been cut out.
It was only rumoured to have been 70 episodes. It was never confirmed.
I think one of the reasons I am so conflicted between Jing and XL is script/storyline vs on screen visuals. In…
In the novel Xiao Yao gets pleasure from his biting her, so I wasn't surprised to see those scenes played as being highly suggestive and sexual. I think it was intentional. Especially the one in episode 10 - for obvious reasons. The chemistry between the actors obviously makes it even more intense.
That's weird. it's still available here in Australia. My friend is also watching Legend of Anle on Youku from the US at the moment too.
I have heard that the app is not currently available to download from the apple store. I just checked and the international app is still available to download from the google play store for android users here so it might be just an apple thing at the moment.
It has apparently happened to other apps in the past so it might pop back for apple users soon. However if a user already has the app installed, it should still work for them.
Lol no. That confession proved she did have feelings for him and an attraction to him. She admitted it herself.…
Haha im not cranky at all 🤣 very amused though. It's interesting to hear such a surface level take.
People in real life (and drama) don't always come out and say exactly what they mean.
When she told her father it wasnt someone close to her she was trying to shrug it off as it not meaning anything (both to herself and to her father) but that doesn't mean it didn't mean anything. That is a thing people do... deflect from their actual feelings, especially when they've been caught and are sheepish. It's written and directed in this way because they expect people to know and understand this.
You say she was just smiling cos she was happy she could get back at the 9 headed demon but one of those images was taken from their time underwater together (episode 12) when he looked back at her and smiled. That had nothing to do with getting back at anyone. It was a moment she felt compelled to capture. She wanted to remember it.
But again, if you wanna see it in a way where everything that comes out of her mouth is to be taken in a 100% literal surface level way and that there are zero feelings, thats cool. you do you. No problem.
Moods are swinging left to right on "TTEOTM should have had a season 2" to "Good thing TTEOTM is completed"😅🤣Yeah,…
yeah it's definitely unfortunate. Obviously I would have preferred a version without so many cuts. Even just a few more episodes would have helped so much with some of those loose ends. and is 43 or 44 episodes really that different than 40? Ugh, it's definitely a shame.
But at the same time I'm still so grateful? It's such a weird feeling to be like... oh crap, maybe it was for the best. I dunno... the idea of living with the unknown while waiting an entire year sounds awful. I think we all would have lost our minds if for some reason the airing of part 2 fell through. What a nightmare lol
Yeah, I'm now feeling so grateful we got TTEOTM the way we did, and when we did. These new regulations state that if a drama is split into two parts the interval between airing must be over 12 months. That is a long wait. 3-6 months might have been doable but 12 months would probably have killed the momentum. Not to mention, anything can happen in that time, especially in c-ent.
At least we got TTEOTM completed, even if it is with cut scenes and editing issues. Though I could have waited a year, I can't help but think about the possibility of airing part 1 and then during the interval, something coming up that kills the airing of the second part. Whether that's new random regulations or a scandal with a cast member or anything. Then we'd be left with part 1 and that would be it.
worst case scenario haha
It's going to be a long wait for part 2 of Lost You Forever *sigh*
Has it been announced it will be next year? I heard November
New regulations have just come out. now stating that if a drama is split into two parts the interval between the airing must be more than 12 months. Which means we won't get part 2 for a least a year...
Lol no. That confession proved she did have feelings for him and an attraction to him. She admitted it herself.…
I'm quite aware of the dialogue and I 100% maintain what I said. You are just choosing see it another way. Media literacy is apparently dead. Does it literally need to be spoon fed to you? She was lovingly gazing at Xiang Liu's image and sighing dreamily at the start of the episode and hid it in embarrassment when her father walked in. Yet you think she holds not an ounce of feeling for this man?
She says she's scared and in that moment, Xiang Liu, as well as the audience thinks she's referring to literally being scared of him. She then follows it up with explaining she's afraid that upon kissing him she would accidentally let him into her dreams. How can it be more clear than that? Apparently she needs to LITERALLY say she's afraid to let him into her heart for you to get it lol. She knows he's not suitable for a girl to be dreaming about. Not the right kind of guy that a girl should hold any romantic or lustful daydreams about. She's not an idiot. She knows exactly who and what kind of man he is.
I also never said that he doesn't want to be with her. He absolutely does want to be with her, but he also understands what she means in that moment. Though she is, essentially confessing her feelings, she's also telling him that because of who and what he is, he is in no way "suitable" and he knows he can't ever really be what she needs. It's the reason he never confesses his feelings to her. I think it's at this moment he decides to protect her from afar with the full knowledge that he won't ever be able to be with her. And yes it's completely understandable to say that it would be more terrifying to her than death. Falling in love with anyone is scary, but especially if you see the person you may fall for as a completely doomed notion. Why bring pain on yourself when you know it can't ever end well. It's best to avoid it altogether. This is fairly obvious to me.
In the novel she tries to recreate what happened with her and Xiang Liu by doing the same thing that he did, so Jing can breathe. It's exactly as you said. he responds "because you didn't have me in your eyes back there" who did you think that was referring to exactly? I'm pretty sure it's the man she was imitating right? When you have thoughts and feelings towards someone you know you shouldn't, you might try to recreate that thrill with someone else, especially if it's someone you already care about and someone you see as the "right" person. (Jing)
In the drama, do you really think that what just happened with Xiang Liu wasn't playing on her mind at all? That she wasn't trying to prove that she can feel that way for someone who is far more "suitable" for her. Especially when she also cares deeply about this other person and he just poured his heart out about not feeling good enough. It's not mutually exclusive. All of these things can exist at once. Her having feelings for Xiang Liu doesn't mean she doesn't also have feelings for Jing nor does it mean she doesn't want to kiss Jing. All of these feelings can exist at once.
But you know, keeping telling yourself she has no feelings towards Xiang Liu at all, if it makes you feel better.
No and yes. Xiang Liu as himself no. But the real Fang Feng Bei is her brother yes. Xiang Liu took on that identity…
Yes the real fang feng bei is dead but that hasnt been discussed in the drama yet. This is how it was in the novel though. Also dont think his family know that he isnt the real FFB.

Or its another cast member like Mermaid says. Costume and hair looks quite elaborate lol.
