it's strange, did anyone else notice someone's comment here disappeared (why?) They wrote some long paragraphs which I agreed with what they said and a lot of people hearted on it too ๐ค
Mal Ja being annoying as usual.. taking someone else's box and trying to open it SMH I'm thinking the FL's birth secret photos/belongings are in there. What do you guys think is in it? And when will she rightfully get her box back?
I thought she was Bok Soon's daughter judging by the grandma's reaction when Bok Soon told her about losing her daughter but now I'm not so sure since they introduced that mysterious room with Hae Ran's dead baby.. there are more plot twists than I expected ๐ also that preview from ep 42 didn't happen in 43 where Seo Jun tells Seon Hwa about Soo Chul stealing her bracelet.. Did I miss that part?
Oh wow the rating has really gone up. Has this significantly improved? Basically, should I start watching? I do…
Yes it's worth watching so far (I love makjang too!) I've been hooked to it since the beginning eps. Every episode ends in a cliffhanger to make you want to watch the next one ๐ it might be frustrating in the beginning eps seeing the FL beg the cheating BF to stay with her but that only lasts for like 10 eps.
Did anyone else loose their sh- when LBH appeared on screen? I legit had no idea ... he was gonna be in this show…
same, I was surprised when he took off his mask! Except I didn't even look at the cast list before watching this (feels like a spoiler listing him in ep 8-9) can't believe I didn't recognize his voice under the mask ๐
I fee like this might be some extraordinary show for people who are not used to kdrama, or haven't seen many,…
well that could be true for some people but the same thing could be said for other popular/hyped dramas. I think this was decent for a short drama and can't really compare this to some 16-20 ep dramas with more plot/character development.
I get what others are saying about SG being overhyped but I disagree that this can't also be highly rated/enjoyed just as much for k-drama veterans not just for newbies, almost any other popular drama could also be considered overrated anyways. Plus some people are calling this overrated when they dropped it at 1 or 2 eps and missed out on all the action/better parts of the drama? This was only 9 eps with characters dropping dead/fighting for their survival in every episode so what more do you expect from it? Even though tracksuits came out like a decade ago already but the hot pink outfit/symbol mask and games were iconic, now everyone knows about dalgona cookies because of SG. Maybe people will talk less about SG eventually as they move onto the next big thing, but at least the actors got some recognition from this. Also, I guess they didn't take a shower for a week since it looked like there were only toilets there but why does it matter if they're gonna be dead soon anyways ๐
I respect your opinion. Perhaps after watching as many dramas as I did, you will have higher standards
that might be true for newbies but I think watching around 100+ dramas is enough time to decide their own standards. This was a decent watch for only 9 eps but I don't try to compare this with those 16-20 ep dramas as those have more time to develop better plots/characters.

I usually can't get into popular dramas nowadays either but SG caught my attention more after every episode. I thought HP was overrated/boring but at least I watched half of it unlike a few users here who dropped SG at ep 1-2 and called it overrated without even seeing the better games/episodes.
I had this on my PTW list years ago but after watching Squid Game it put me in the mood for some survival game shows, so now I feel like watching this one..
the ending credits song "Liar" - Dear Cloud is my new obsession lol especially those "whoa oh" parts at 2:19 and 3:02. The instrumental track without the vocals sounds awesome on its own too!
I love watching Lee El, I find her entertaining/funny to watch ๐
Does anyone know where I can watch this? I feel like it was once on Viki or maybe I watched it when drama fever…
I think it was on Viki before but a lot of older shows also disappeared from there, don't know if they'll bring them back again. Anyways I'm gonna watch it on this site https://watchseries.ma/tv/watch-liar-game-free-28957 if anyone else is interested, this has better video quality than Dramacool and doesn't have that DC logo in the top right corner. Plus the website itself doesn't even have any annoying ads anywhere.
I don't get the hype this show at all. Instantly dropped after Episode 1
Ep 1 was the least interesting for me (it was pretty meh in the beginning until after 40 minutes the actual plot starts), the games/death scenes do get more intense later so I can see why people are enjoying this one
Ep 7 was intense. There were so many English speaking scenes I thought the episode changed to dubbed halfway ๐ I'm always amused watching cringy foreign actors in k-dramas. "If you can satisfy me in five minutes, I might let you live" LMAO

as for the choice of actors, it might've been the director's choice to cast them like that (see Mich Pottier's comment below the article)

I knew he was going to shoot himself when he brought a rifle at the ending ๐ I wish he didn't die though
