You know, I watched last year "Dear Diary" and it was a sad ending. But there was an extra 10 minutes scenes, where the main characters met again.

It's always the same in China with TT. I think it's a happy ending because of my theory, and also because it's part of the Sweet on series on the network (what's the name, Iqy, or something like that?) and there aren't, to my knowledge, sad endings to those stories.

I think the old man was told, in the past, by Qin Yu to look for him. After all, he is the only one still alive in 2018 who knew Qin Yu and who knew the truth about TT in the first 2018 timeline. So I wouldn't be surprised if Qin Yu hadn't deducted that Chi Yu was himself in the future and he had to live this time, to spend his life with the FL.

Qin Yu could trust the kid (back them) to look for his future incarnation since the kid would live a very looooong life. And after all, the old guy didn't know Chi Yu so why would he go looking for him at this precise time, when he fell in to the water? Unless at some point in time, Qin Yu cconfided in him in the past and asked him to save him in the future. Otherwise, there is no reason in the drama for an old actor who hasn't met Chi Yu to go and save him. Unless he was told to. By the only person who could know: Qin Yu<.

There is reincarnation in the tags for this drama. I think they all lived in 1936 but it was a tragic life for all of them:

- the actress was forced into prostitution by the producer and she committed suicide,

- her brother assumed his sister's suicide was caused by Qin Yu so he sneaked into the crew and sabotaged the gun,

- the ML was shot and died,

- the past FL was the one to shoot him and she was arrested. In the first 1936 timeline, before the TT, the actor died and she either ended up spending her life in jail or she was executed for the murder,

So they all died after leading tragic lives which ended unfairly and they didn't get justice.

Life repeating itself, they were reincarnated and the same cycle started. Their souls were troubled because of their past lives (more for Ma Ze and Tao Tao I would say) but by TT, Qin Yu could assume Chi Yu's life. He discovered how his past life and his life in the present had similarities and once back in time, he did the right thing by avenging the actress, bringing her peace after her death, saving her brother's soul, too, and saving the FL from jail.

So by changing the past, he changed the future and their souls reincarnated and they were more healthy people, prevening the past events from repeating.

We can't expect neat logical ending with chinese TT but I think we can find clues, like a crime story, as to what the writers and producers wanted to shoot but couldn't because of censorship.

YES!!! Thank you for translating. My theory was that in this second 2018 timeline, he just fell in the water and was not attacked. But he still remembers the attack so it means he remembers two timelines. Same with the FL,she remembers the two timelines. So my theory was that since he remembers when he was attacked, there is a strong possibility he remembers being Qin Yu and how he met the FL during his time traveing adventures and that's why he goes to the bus stop: to go on with their lives where it stopped.

I think Qin Yu, by changing the past and avenging the actress who committed suicide, changed the future and somehow, it influenced how the actress and her brother were reincarnated. She committed suicide and nobody knew why, and now, the truth is out. This could have changed her reincarnation and she lived again as a normal person because her past self had justice after her death.

Same with her brother, he knew Qin Yu wasn't responsible for his siters's death, while in the first 1936 timeline, he lived all his life believing that Qin Yu caused his sister's suicide. Both siblings died (not at the same time, obviously) but died with unfinished business for the actress, and with hatred for her brother.

But solving this situation, their souls were at peace and could reincarnate as normal, mentally sane people.

Long Da is linked to Chi Yu so I can imagine that they are still in each other's life except that those scenes weren't shot.

The FL will meet him once she becomes the screenwriter for the movie Chi YU will shoot, about Qin YU.

I'm convinced that Chi Yu, in this second timeline, wasn't attacked by Ma Ze because as Qin Yu, he solved the troubled souls of the siblings. So I suppose he fell into the water and was immediately saved, but he was in a coma for a while. Even without subtitles, there are flashbacks of the attack, so he remembers... the first 2018 timeline. He is the only one, with the FL, to remember the first timeline.

So if he can remember that first 2018 timeline, I can only deduct that he remembers his past life as Qin Yu and is keeping his promise to the FL: to always be together. They see each other again, at the bus stop ('"See you again", title of the drama). Their lives are continuing where they stopped when Qin Yu was sent back to the past. It's important that the drama ends at the bus stop.

Maybe we don't see Chi Yu there because of censorship.

Okay, let's see if I understand it well, which is a bit complicated since the beginning of episode 30, Chi Yu waking up, didn't have subtitles so I have no idea what the old man and Chi Yu talked about.

- Censorship ending: it was a dream + weird meteo conditions which last happened in 1936

- real drama ending: this was a time travel story.

- the characters from 2018 all had a past life in 1936 but it was a tragic one.

- ML's dream of shooting that movie was never realized because in the first time line, he died, shot by the FL's past incarnation. ML and FL from the past never got the chance to fall in love. FL from the past probably ended up in jail for shooting past ML

- Taotao's past incarnation's fate and death was what triggered it all: she committed suicide, her brother lived hating the past ML, and having him killed by sabotaging the gun on the set,

- they all got reincarnated and the same cycle repeated: ML is an actor, Taotao is on set with him, is bullied, he helped her, she developped a crush, stalked him, lied about him, committed suicide and leading to Ma Ze to try to kill Chi YU

- Time travel happens, past ML is sent to the timeline where he will be reincarnated, allowing him to pass off as Chi Yu, shoots the movie he wanted so desperately to shoot in his past life, meets the FL, investigates Chi Yu's murder (or attempted murder since he appears in the beginnging of episode 30), realizes the similarities with his time period, leading to....

- when he goes back to his timeline, he avenges Taotao's past incarnation, revealing the truth but probably losing a lot in the process with the medias and the public? even though he wasn't responsible but hey, we know once someone has a bad reputations or is presumed guilty by association, it's hard to get over that. So he reconciled with his mother, left and led his own life, which we know nothing about

- the title of this drama is "See you again", and there's reincarnation in the tag. So I'll take the ending as Chi Yu, after waking up from his attack, somehow remembers ; maybe he was attacked by someone else than Ma Ze this time? or he just fell in the water in the second version of 2018 but he remembers the first version of 2018 where he was attacked. In that case, he remembers 2 timelines, like the FL, which is promising because it means that somehow, he will remember his past life as Qin Yu and will go back to the last place where they saw each other, at the bus stop.

That's how I interpreted the ending. With chinese dramas dealing with TT, there are two endings, the official censorhip one and the real TT one and even with this last one, the writers have to be careful and be subtle, I think. So that's how I see the story and the ending.

I noticed she was shocked and crying when she shot him, so was it:

- her past incarnation (that would explain why jin Ayin was obsessed since childhood with Qin Yu, maybe she was in love with him, or she admired him? Qin Yu didn't look like he knew her)

- in that case, why did she shot him? Was she a friend of suicide girl and she believed what she had told her about Qin Yu (she didn't sound like a mentally sane person so she could have dreamed a relationship with the actor?) and therefore she wanted to avenge her friend?

- was she really Jini Ayin who traveled back in time to start the time loop? Like, to travel back in time, Qin Yu had to be shot?

- Or everybody is in a coma and dreaming, lol!

I wonder where Chi Yu is. Dead, alive? his body was never found. I could be wrong but I think Chi Yu is Qin Yu's reincarnation and when Chi Yu was attacked, he was sent... somewhere (in the past?) so that Qin Yu could take his place and investigate who the murderer is.

Once that's done, he'll go back to his timeline, either to die or to vanish from History and live a quiet life. A rich one I would say, considering what he knows about the future. He knows what to invest in.

Afther that, Chin Yu will mysteriously reappear, with amnesia and once he will meet the FL, he will have flashbacks of her even if he doesn't knonw her. His past self manifesting.

There will also be a censorhip ending. Maybe gthe drama we saw was the movie from within the drama?

I was thinking the same thing but then that other drama was a korean one and there is no censorship about TT in Korea like in China. So even if it's possible, and even the intended ending by the writers, I think the censorhip ending will be the traditional coma/traveling in a book/movie oreven what we watched was the movie itself.

It's a love triangle between the ML, FL and SML although the FL doesn't love the guy and he keeps pushing his luck. For the second couple, which starts late in the drama (around episode 12? 13?), it's more of a one sided love from a female character (too bad because she is so much better than the female lead in this second couple).

I'll focus on the mystery because it's the strong point of this drama. The actors are okay. But the story is lacking. It started well but it's been dragging because of the love triangle. Too bad the second couple can't bring more interest because the SFL is too strict and severe.

Okay, the mystery then. Now that Ma Ze Hao (the guy who tried to kill Chi Yu) is living close to the ML, could it be him who will send the ML back to his timeline? I mean, when he was hiding behind that curtain and wanted to kill off the ML, the hero started to fade or was in the process of being sent back.

So if Ma Ze Hao tries again, does this mean the ML will go back to his ear and what happens if he is holding the FL when this happens, is she transported to the past, too?

Yep love triangle of the main couple is out of place. Second couple? I don't feel it at all.

The mystery ismuch more interesting.

About the mystery, tell me if I'm wrong or not:

- Taotao (coma girl) was in school with Chi Yu,

- Glass guy attacked Chi Yu,

- Glass guy approached martial art guy (Hao) for money for his father in hospital but we see him at the hospital for Taotao,

- Glass guy sabotaged the film set to kill off martial art guy?

- Hao wanted to kill of Chi Yu for revenge because of something happening on a film set,

- Glass guy told coma girl that it was time to bring her back home after learning that both her "bullies" were dead (Chi Uy is not, though) so did Chi Yu bully her at school or did Coma girl lie to glass guy about Chi Yu? Why? Because she loved him and he didn't and she wanted revenge? For Hao, we could see him bullying her so this part was true

- Glass guy doesn't seem to be mentally sane, he talked to coma girl about bringing her back home but isn't she in a coma? Unless coma girl takes products to fake a coma or something? I don't think that's medically possible but I could be wrong,

- Glass guy said something weird while he was talking to coma girl: "Did Jin A Yin lie?" Huh, they don't know each other, unless I am missing something!

So basically, it looks like everything revolves around Chi Yu because it looks like the moment Chi Yu fell in the water, Qin YU was sent back to the present

we don't need another love triangle but I'm not sure they will go that road. The young funny girl who is in love with the FL's brother has been rejected multiple times by him and it's already going into another direction with the cold lady. She seems rather bossy and not that nice with everybody, too abrupt. I'm not intereted in her.

Too bad, I prefered the girl working on the movie set and who got drunk with the ML.

It was something I was hoping to not see in this drama. Or any drama. I regret the direction this drama is going, the ML's hand vanished and he had a blank and he isn't talking about it to the only person who knows (apart from the old guy) who he really is.

Instead of that, we are subjected to a love triangle when there could be a more interesting storyline to explore.

I'm still interested in the mystery, or rather mysteries, and I wish it would focus on that more.

Annoyed at SML trying to win the FL when he knows his best buddy has feelings for her. Also, who decided for this SML to wear pink jackets and orange pants???

The mystery goes on. Was it a case (for Chi Yu) of wrong time/wrong place? has he seen something he shouldn't have?

And the vanishing hand... was it because the guy hidden behind him was about to attack him so whatever Force sent him there was prepared to send him back to protect him?

Well, Qin Yu IS from the 30's, he walks, talks, dresses and behaves like a gentleman from that time period so it's not far-fetched. Not my cup of tea, like someone else posted, I would prefer if the FL was included in the resolution of Chi Yu's murder. Still, I hope this "protect the FL by ignoring her" won't last for too long.

So the murderer is linked to Tao Tao. Strange how the past Tao Tao seemed so intent on talking to Qin Yu. Was she only a fan, a deranged person or did she travel back in time and was stuck there?

Still, attempted murder on Qin Yu and Chin Yu, Taotao in a coma and her past self dead. I wonder if the "censorship ending" won't be about coma. Maybe Qin Yu and Taotao are in a coma, hence the reason why I say it could be the official ending instead of TT.

Wait and see.

yeah, the mystery is quite good. I have theories and then we learn new stuff and bam, it's no longer possible. Apparently, yes, the main actress plays another character so does this mean that this past character is her past incarnation?

In that case, how will it end? I mean, if the past actor falls in love with the present FL and he has to go back to his timeline, does this mean he will fall in love with her past incarnation?

Is it possible that the two attempted murders are linked to time travel? Like, they have to happen for the time travels to take place<,

And Taotao, who is she? I saw on the casting list that the actress who plays Taotao plays another one, and in the past, her last name is Yang and there's another character who plays a double character, a man whose last name is Yang, too.

Either everyone time travels, or everyone had a past life in 1936 and someone happens during that time and it's so painful that it is still having repercussions in 2018. Maybe the suicide of the young girl who died with a picture of QY in her hand? What if she was a fan, and the actor didn't love her so she committed suicide and her brother swore revenge and used the FL's past incarnation (or she was a friend of the girl who committed suicide in the past?)

And in 2018, Taotao and her brother were reincarnated and the brother remembering the past, sees CY and understands that he is the reincarnation of QY and wants his revenge for their past life.

I post this but maybe tomorrow, after new episodes, my theory will go kaboum, lol. But it's fun to theorize.

Hmm, it's more and more mysterious. So, to sum up:

- LLangda just witnessed the murder, he didn't kill his best friend,

- the murderer looks like it's a guy, neither tall nor short. Could it be the guy the past actor saw in episode 3 during his attempt to come back to his time period, the one he tried to run after?

- what about Taotao, the make up artist? She is from 2018 but the past actor seemed to recognize her in the past, as the one who committed suicide? Did she time travel too?

- so a woman -either the FL, or her past incarnation) tried to kill the past actor for... reason?

This drama isn't the best (I hope the FL will improve, so far she is still in her childish phase; I'm up to episode 8 by the way), but it's fun and the mystery is good, so I'm quite invested in discovering who did what to whom and who time traveled apart from the past actor.

Hmmm, I remember who it was, then. It was a male, right?

It depends on your taste. If you like serious dramas with strong badass women, this is not the drama for you. If you like pure sci-fi, this isn't either. If you like light, fun dramas, then give it a try. I've never been a fan of HYT, I have seen him in varous dramas and he never made an impact on me and I don't find him handsome. Just not my kind of guy.

BUT I have to admit that here, he MAKES the drama. The FL is childish (I think based on the pictures in the opening sequence that she will grow and be more adult), but HYT is doing a good job here. His character is interesting and mysterious. Therer's also a mystery within the show, on top of romance and funny moments so for me, it's a good one to watch because it's the kind of fun, entertaining dramas that I like.

But we all have different tastes, what I enjoy might not be your cup of tea.

I thought the same, maybe the kid is the FL's grand-father or great-grand-father?
