Title Love in Time Spoiler
i fear the "censorship ending" (meaning, the writers's ending was "it was time travel all along but because of…
Let's say that they met at the wedding of their friends and they didn't connect at all but she found him handsome? Maybe once in a coma, she made him her soulmate because she remembered this handsome man.

So if the story, in the end, was made up by the FL while in a coma (the overlap, 2021/2022, Jirong's death, her brother's gambling debt), there's still the possibility that once she wakes up from her coma, she remembers the entire made up story.

Which would be heartbreaking for her because in her coma, she had fallen in love with the ML and he with her but in reality, she remembers a made up story but the ML barely knows her.

Unless she wakes up from her coma and doesn't remember anything but somehow, since they are connected by their friends (if that part of the story is true) , they meet again and this time, they fall in love for real?

I post that because I think if the ending is "oh she was in a coma all along, or it was just a book her friends were reading her while she was in a coma", viewers here on MDL will be angry and give a bad ratings for this drama while it is, IMO, a great one.

Just, the viewers have to get that in China, time travel is not appreciated by the authorities so writers for a drama have to find a loophole to get their dramas to air, that's why many, many chinese time-travel dramas end up with clichés explanations: book, novel, coma, and so on.

I hope I'm wrong because I would love if for once, the time travel aspect of the show was kept for the ending. But I'm not holding my breath.

And have you seen the ML version 2021 also falling for her? Now I am very very curious about the ending!
i fear the "censorship ending" (meaning, the writers's ending was "it was time travel all along but because of censorship, we'll write a censorship ending) will be that the entire drama was a story the FL made up while in a coma.

In episode 15, the 2022 ML is with her at the hospital and there are fireworks on tv. And in the 2021 scene just before that, they were both watching fireworks. A hint, maybe, that somehow, the FL in the coma can access information and use it for her made up story while in a coma? So both 2021 and 2022 are the made up stories.

If true, the ending? Hmmm, not sure, she wakes up and remembers everything from when she was in a coma, the entire story she invented. And she kept the feelings she had for the ML. Who, in reality, barely knows her.

So for her, it would be back to square 1: she would have to fight so that he falls in love with her.

I would much prefer this drama to be about a real time travel drama but experience taught me that in China, those kinds of themes in dramas aren't appreciated so there's always a realistic twist in the end: it was a book, a movie, a parallel world, a coma...

Yeah, I call that the "censorship ending" versus the real ending. Aka, the writers didn't take us for fools and were writing a real time travel story for us to enjoy and then comes the censorship ending, which is NOT the real one, IMO. It's one I can reject because I KNOW it's not the one everyone involved in the project (writers, producers, actors, crew members) were working on.

So it makes the censorship ending not the true one, for me. Which is a good thing because otherwise, I wouldn't watch supernatural / time travel dramas, which are my favorites.

So now that i know that this ending IS NOT the true intended one, I reject it, plain and simple. I stick to what the writers wanted us to watch and enjoy: a real time travel drama.

At this point, yeah,it's become a joke. Other shows like "Heart of a genius", "The day of becoming you", "Mr Bad", shows where there's an entire drama about time travel and then bam, you have the censorhip ending, aka it's a novel or a dream or a coma.

I'm watching Love in time, I love that time travel story, it's a remake of another show where it was a real time travel drama but I fear that the chinese remake ? there will be the ending the writers wanted (aka a time travel ending, it was all true) and then the censorship ending. IN this case, I bet on a coma kind of end.

Hmm interesting. I guess he is too good to be true. I mean, at some point, I was wondering about him, if there was some hidden agenda BECAUSE he is a too good character and I tend to be wary of this kind of character.

But I didn't think too much about him, you know? It was just a passing idea. To be honest, I thought that maybe the husband had finally did it, in an accident, or maybe his family had played a role, because he is from a wealthy family who didn't accept his wife.

Or the FL is a journalist and maybe she tickled the wrong tiger.

I think we can forget this one. China took cancel culture to another level so this drama might never air at all.

I adore time travel stories and I recommand "Love in time", absolutely griping and gorgeous drama.

Why do I feel like it is not Wu who hit FL? He thought he did, but must be someone else, bcz he and Jirong did…
Yeah, I feel like there's a twist, it's like Wu is being the too obvious guilty party. So the ML and FL try to change Wu's past to prevent the accident but what if it still happens because in fact, he is not the one who hit the FL? Another mystery maybe? I would like that.

She admires her senior colleague (he is more of an idol to her) but I wouldn't call that a crush. And she falls pretty quickly for the ML.

My take is that until now he thinks that she becomes the girlfriend of her boss at the station. He doesn’t know…
I would love that, if the next 12 episodes were about discovering what happened to her and preventing her from ending up in a coma or dying.

Knowing China and time travel dramas, I wonder how it will end. I think the 2022 ML will save the FL and will die, or vanish because once he saves her, then h is past self life will change and therefore, the actual 2022 ML will vanish because starting in september 2021, his life will take another turn, with the FL as his girlfriend.

And either the 2021 ML won't remember his future timeline, and start a new relationship with the FL, who will remember, or there will be some kind of merging of the two consciences and the ML will remember.

For those who have watched the original drama, does it end like this? I tried to watch it but I dropped it early on, maybe 4 or 5 episodes in. I love time travel dramas but the original just didn't work for me. And I didn't like the FL.

Okay, so after watching episode 12, my thoughts: the mystery of who killed Jirong is solved and our couple is together. BUT, there are 12 more episodes so what's going to happen during those 12 episodes?

- either there's going to be a twist and Jirong doesn't die in the end, because somehow, one little action in 2021 changed her fate. But is it a case of a life for a life? Aka, Jirong is alive but Jialan is dead? or in a coma after an attack and is assumed dead to protect her until she wakes up?

- or Jialan investigates a brand new case and this leads to her death, or coma and it's up to 2022 Zheng Hu and 2021 Jialan (pre-attempted murder on her person) who investigate during the overlap?

This drama is underrated, that's too bad, it seems to have a good budget, nice sets, quite diverse too, the actors are fantastic, they have great chemistry, they kiss for real (or rather the characters kiss for real and hug) and icing on the cake, they are both handsome so real eye candy. Plus a nice mystery to solve and enough twists to keep my interest.

When is he gonna find out what happened to her in the 2022 timeline? The original taiwan version didnt occur in…
In the latest episode I saw (10), 2022 ML goes to find her in his timeline. He learns from 2 gossipy women that she is Mu Shi Ming's girlfriend. He goes to MSM and he acts, IMO, weird and he basically tells the ML to get lost and acting as if the FL is HIS girlfriend.

IMO, something happens to her, she was attacked or something like that and is in a coma and MSM is kind of protecting her by not telling the ML what happened to her and where she is. After all, in Mu's eyes, the ML could be somehow involved in what happened to the FL.

So, so far, I'm giving Mu's the benefit of the doubt. Or he could just be jealous because he likes the FL and the FL loves the ML.

I think this scene between the two men will prevent the ML from trying to reach out to 2022 FL again, at least for a while.

I didn't mention XKC as innocent. I said "innocent persons", meaning crews, colleagues, producers, who have to pay for an idiot who shouldn't have taken back this man when he cheated on her the first time. Let's hope for your sake that you won't have to pay, one day, because of someone like this woman doing this kind of thing to YOUR employer.

Why on earth did she take him back, did she have no pride and no brain cells??? Why did she record him, didn't she think of other persons who would have to pay? apparently not.

I just hope that nobody will trust her, colleagues, friends or producers. Nobody likes a cheater but nobody likes a snitch, too. Especially one who could cause so much damage to her colleagues, co-workers and employers.

And apparently, you would feel no remorse for all the unfortunate innocent persons, societies, companies and colleagues who would have the bad luck of being on your way to your revenge and who will pay the price.

Charming.

Title See You Again Spoiler
It’s not actually sad ending though. It’s kind of open ending. Many people won't even understand the ending…
The thing is, there are so many restrictions on stories which can be told that creative writers, who still want to tell those kind of stories, have to find a way to please the censors, while at the same time still telling the story they want to tell.

I see it like a crime story, it's just a question of looking for clues on what the intended ending was. I think in the case of "See you again", there were enough clues about Chi Yu being Qin Yu's reincarnation. It wasn't just the fact they could be twins, but the fact that history was repeating itself.

Those souls from 1936 died in pain and unfairly. When they reincarnated, they still didn't find peace since they repeated the same cycle.

This cycle had to be broken and that's what Qin Yu's time travel did: he realized what happened both in 1936 and in 2018 and by coming back to his timeline, he righted a wrong and therefore, he saved the souls of everyone and they could reincarnate peacefully, therefore changing the future.

Yes, it's bad that it wasn't made clear, But there were enough scenes with Qin Yu back in his timeline, breaking the cycle and making peace with his mother to indicate that he was changing the past so that the future was better than the one he lived in for a while.

No problem ! to be honest, I avoid dramas with sad endings. The ones which have already aired, it's easy to come here and read the comments. Sad ending? i'm out of here. Real life is hard enough without inflicting me fictional pain.

With C-dramas dealing with time travel, I already know that because of censorship, there will be two endings:

- the offiicial one: either it's a dream, a coma, or one of the character traveling to another dimension, or being projected into a book or a movie.

- the real one, the one the writers and producers wanted to shoot but couldn't. Once I accepted that, it made brainstorming more amusing because it was a question on hunting down the clues left by the writers.

In this drama, the fact that both ML from the past and the present were close to twins and have the same job? Yeah, big clue that the ML from the present is the reincarnation of the ML from the past.

On top of that, Qin Yu appeared the moment Chi YU disappeared: it was necessary for CY to disappear (he wasprobably dead in the first version of 2018) for QY to assume his place for his mission (Taotao's past incarnation's tragic fate, which triggered everything, even in 2018).

Mission accomplished, QY goes back to the past, changes it, avenges the actress and that simple action, all the other characters, and therefore their souls, are saved and they reincarnate as healthy, normal people.

I heard about Scarlett Heart so I avoided, even if there were raving critics. I'm not joking when I say that sad endings are absolutely not for me.

Considering that Chi Yu is alive and in this new reality changed by Qin Yu when he went back to the past, he remembers the previous timeline where he was attacked (in this one, he just fell in the water and was saved), it's a safe bet, IMO, that he will remember the first 2018 timeline... as Qin Yu.

Since Qin Yu is Chi Yu's past incarnation. So if he remembers his past life, then he remembers his time travel, AY and the bus stop where AY and QY's life stopped.

Quite romantic to have this extra scene with AY smiling at the bus stop. It's a signal to the viewers that QY is back as Chi Yu. Otherwise, episode 30 wouldn't have started with Chi Yu waking up.

I think only censorhip made it impossible for Chi Yu to appear in the end. So it was up to the writers and actors to make it subtle. So episode 30 starts with Chi Yu, and it's supposed to end with Chi Yu, with AY, at the bus stop.

I'm french, not american. And no, I'm not "good for her", human beings are... human beings. You are asking them to be either robots or gods, perfects. That's impossible. Hence the cancel culture which is an atrocity.

Are you perfect? No. So why are you expecting artists to be? That's unfair.

IMO, cheating is part of human nature. Some do, some don't, but it's not something uncommon. Is it good? of course not.

But I'm sorry, in the blame game here, recording someone who doesn't know he is being recorded (would you like it if someone did it to you?), keeping it and then using it later on? It's even more immoral than to cheat on someone. Cheating is between two person in a relationship.

The recording? It has dramatic repercussions on more than two persons. Are impacted:

- the person recorded, who can have his career destroyed,

- the recorder, who can lose credibility and trust from the industry she works in,

- the producing companies (multiple ones), which are going to lose money when their dramas won't air because of a jealous & bitter woman,

- crew members employed by those companies who can lose their jobs if their companies go bankrupt,

- insurance companies : producing companies must be paying one hell of a sum to have insurance but when scandal happens, insurance companies aren't happy to pay and if it's in the western world, when insurance companies (following a disaster) have to pay astronomical money, surprise surprise, the little people who pay their insurance see their bill go up

If that woman wanted revenge, she could have done it privately and by using some creativity. Like buying shit (like, real shit) from a farmer and hiring trucks to deliver it to his house and to his car. Message clear what she thinks of him, speculation from the medias but not much to loose for each side.

She recorded him while he was confessing having been drunk and sleeping with another woman when they had split up . Instead of saying "let's just stop our relationship", she recorded him, took him back and when it went downhill, she used that recording to destroy him (and put producing companies which had hired XKC as ML or SML at risk of going bankrupt, meaning crews losing their jobs).

And you think she'll have a glowing reputation in the showbusiness industry? Huh, no.

Don't forget that women are as bad as men. We'll see how you'll react when it will be a man recording a woman and destroying her career. Women cheat, too.

Nobody in the industry will trust someone who records private conversations and uses them for revenge. I would say that even in her private life, people around her will be wary of her. XKC is a flirt and a cheater, she is someone untrusworthy capable of destroying people's careers and companies employing her just for revenge. Plus recording people.

None of them appear as good persons. Still not a reason to be cancelled.

Thanks. Romantic time travel dramas are my favorite and I'm used to brainstorm about them, lol. My favorite one is "Queen In Hyun's man", a korean time travel drama with a happy ending. And to my surprise, not dated at all, considering it's from 2012.

I usually watch recent dramas but this korean drama I mentioned? It's gold. No TT has dethroned this one in my heart, yet.
