Title Joy of Life Spoiler
The ending is a visual cliffhanger
My theory is that Chen Ping Ping is Fan Xian's biggest supporter but Fan Xian does not realize that yet and by contrast (I agree with what you're saying) he sees him as an enemy because he is indeed very manipulative and Fan Xian does not like being manipulated (although he loves manipulating everyone himself lol).
I get what you're saying about Yan Bingyun now and I do agree that that is how he is behaving now but I would like to believe (as I said earlier) that he will eventually waver a bit.
Also I just realized how long our debate here has been going lol I hope people aren't annoyed.

I'm curious which moments were the ones that you found funny? Because I found the entire thing hilarious mostly…
Yes I definitely agree on that

I believe that he may already have the support of the Overwatch because Chen Ping Ping supports him, although because the way Chen Ping Ping has acted, Fan Xian does not trust him yet.
About Yan Bingyun I don't completely understand what you're trying to get across so let's just settle with the conclusion that we have our own theories :)

Oh yea I can see that and I have to agree that his scenes with Wan'er were on the childish side and they were the most boring parts of the drama

Pretending to be dead may be easier for Fan Xian to act behind the scenes to go against the 2nd prince but yea I can't read his mind. But I guess that's also the beauty of this drama which is that Fan Xian always surprises us with endless crazy tactics so this is just one of those.
As for Yan Bingyun I think he kind of respects Fan Xian and doesn't hate him as much as it seems. He definitely will not believe he is Xiao En's grandson in the beginning but my theory is his loyalty to Qing may waver a bit near the end of the whole story, just like Fan Xian's will (already starting to) as well. Tldr; I believe Yan Bingyun will side with Fan Xian sooner or later lmao

Lol from your answer its definitely because we have a different sense of humor because in contrast I found any interactions between Gao, Wang, Sizhe, and Fan Xian hilarious.
True about him being of noble birth and having many women and in fact I might have read somewhere that that was indeed the case in the original book.

I'm sure the story is good but oh dear god how do you paddle through that horrendous cgi?
Was it really that bad or are my standards too low...I thought it wasn't bad. The story and acting probably did mask any bad technical aspects.

Just finished it and it´s really addicting. Feels like these traditional epic stories in which the protagonist…
I'm curious which moments were the ones that you found funny? Because I found the entire thing hilarious mostly because I understand Chinese and a lot of the comedy were puns. Did you watch it in Chinese or with subs? If it was with subs then I can understand how the comedy was affected through translation.

Fan Xian definitely lived and it was definitely all planned. Though how he did it I have no idea. He probably did get hurt but on purpose. You saw how Ms. Shen was also stabbed in the abdomen and she likely will survive; Fan Xian will survive as well. Also, since Yan Bingyun found out about the Second Prince's schemes with Qi, he will definitely not side with the Second Prince because he is extremely loyal to Qing.

I guess you can say it was unnecessary but visually it had a very dramatic effect lol

So from looking at your preferences listed on your page I picked out some categories that describe this drama:
-Comedy (very punny)
-Political (many of the plot lines revolve around fighting for power)
-Character development (our main lead develops more cunning characteristics, I would say, that helps him deal with political issues but he preserves his original witty/funny character throughout if that makes sense at all)
-Great secondary cast (in fact many of the interactions are between our main lead and the secondary cast rather than main lead and female lead)
-No romance (romance exists between male and female leads but veeeeery unimportant)
-Stabbing (haha very relevant to this drama but I can’t spoil anything)
-Unexpected plot twists (YES very relevant to this drama and so many)

Hmm I am unfamiliar with dramas with multiple seasons (I think Ode to Joy is my only other one) so I can't relate at all to what you said. I guess you can just wait until season 2 is out but keep in mind that for Joy of Life it is set to have 3 seasons so even if you wait for season 2, you'll have to wait again for season 3. For me, if the drama does a good job you will remember at least most of the major plot line. The stuff you forget later on probably won't be very necessary for you to enjoy season 2.

Sorry lol should've made myself clearer. For me it means that what you see on screen is definitely a cliffhanger but if you actually sit back and think about it analysis-wise you may be able to make theories about what will happen in the future. But definitely don't shy away from this drama! It's really good and you will make you anticipate season 2. Or another option is to wait until season 2 before starting but that's hard to do haha

So.... if there's a new season does it mean this one doesn't have an actual ending?

Title The Untamed
Actually, I haven't watched that many chinese dramas ..... but most of them are dubbed so I assume this one is…
This one is dubbed but the dubbers did a perfect job matching their tone to what's happening on screen. Idk about the supporting roles but both voice actors of the main leads had experience dubbing for their respective characters in other versions of the story (donghua or audio drama). Don't worry about dubbing in this one. All the voice actors were spot on

Thoughts on the character, Wei Wuxian:Actually, having already read the C-novel before coming into this show,…
Soooo eloquently stated! I agree with absolutely everything you said and it was so nice to see a psychological analysis from a professional pov

I think I was the same and didn't fully experience withdrawal until after I read comments explaining some details…
No I definitely noticed the romantic undertones haha but I meant more like stuff between other characters and stuff that contributed to the plot for example I analyzed Nie Huaisang's actions more closely because you know.

Title The Untamed
I loved it but I'm kind of disappointed to myself that I didn't experience any withdrawal :/ Did I watch it wrongly?!?…
I think I was the same and didn't fully experience withdrawal until after I read comments explaining some details that I did not notice the first time around. Then, I got really hooked because I rewatched with all of the newfound knowledge in mind and was even more fascinated than the first time through because so many things came into light; it was like watching it for the first time. The first time through I did not grasp some of the meanings behind some dialogues or some minute behaviors, but once I understood them omg I became super immersed. So basically after the first time I was like "oh, that was a nice story" then after a couple rewatches I was like "this is the most touching thing I've ever seen". Idk if you are the same or if you understood fully the first time through but everyone sees it differently right? There's nothing wrong with not feeling the hype as much lol. Just glad you enjoyed it :)

Title The Untamed Spoiler
Did Xue Yang actually fall in love with Xiao Xingchen?! Obviously XY had conflicted feelings as he both hated/cared…
Since the drama is a separate work than the actual novel I'd say interpret it any way you like lol. I definitely felt some hints of a little bit of obsession for XXC from XY probably because XXC is the only person who ever showed a bit of love towards XY (and is the only person who ever gave him his candy), so there is gratitude and possibly love there. But as for romantic love I would say little to none; more like companionship.
