How did Wen Ning get Baxia? The last time we saw him, he was running towards the clouds of resentful energy. Then,…
Remember that somehow Nie Mingjue's head, which was also at Jinling Tai also somehow made it's way into the grave at the temple. I believe after Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji found Baxia in the Yi City, they gave it over to Lan Xichen. Nie Mingjue's body was handed over to Nie Huaisang. It's possible that Lan Xichen could've given Baxia over to Jin Guangyao when he still had trust in him OR he could've given it over to Nie Huaisang along with the body OR Nie Huaisang could've secretly taken Baxia from Jinling Tai. Our puppet master could've easily somehow released Baxia nearby for Wen Ning to see (because remember he was nearby the temple as well and that's how Sushe caught him).
Jiang Cheng was indeed scarred but he wasn't bedridden for 3 years like Lan Wangji.
Hmm yea but it shouldn't matter whether he was bedridden or not, both him and Lan Wangji sacrificed themselves for the sake of Wei Wuxian and that should be enough.
Um, I saw a post saying that we always talk about the scars on Lan Wangji's back that he got as a punishment for Wei Wuxian...but we never talk about the scars that brand Jiang Cheng when he sacrificed himself to save Wei Wuxian from getting caught by the Wens... Now, I don't actually remember if Jiang Cheng had gotten scars from that experience, but it would make total sense that he did, and this just shows how I should be thinking about it more. Just thought I'd share xD
I think some people tend to get confused at different points early in The Untamed. It's not about being dumb or…
depending on what you're confused about, it will likely not get clear within the next few episodes, but rather much later down the line lol Like @LysonP said, many viewers get confused in the beginning as the world is being built, and plus there are some mystery-solving elements, but I urge you to keep going because answers will be given eventually! If this is your first drama of this genre (xianxia) then some of the terminology will probably be confusing at first
huh. I love the story and all, but why do i feel like Lanzhan seems to be more like a support role than the main…
The story is a telling of the life of Wei Wuxian since he is our protagonist (at least up until the episode that you're on), so any other character would pretty much be supporting roles. Lan Wangji plays a major role in his life, but he is ultimately not the main character. Lan Wangji is Wei Wuxian's greatest supporter anyway so I don't think he has a problem with not being in the spotlight :D
I believe so! Check out this anniversary thread if you're interested https://kisskh.at/discussions/the-untamed/62623-the-untamed-s-anniversary-premiere-month
yep, seasons 1 and 2 are out and season 3 is coming out this year to be more accurate, the above refers to the donghua animation but a chibi animation exists too!
just got to finish this show and really enjoyed it (though some scenes were quite draggy imo)!!! but idk is it…
The drama depicted Lan Wangji pretty faithfully to the novel so that's pretty much all we get from his background. There is no canon answer for what he exactly went through in the 16 years, which leaves it to your imagination!
The drama is interesting but I don't get the hype so far. I'm on episode 16 and it's quite slow for me. When does…
I'm still watching it and almost done but I can definitely relate to it feeling a bit slow near the beginning. Trust me though, it does build up momentum. It's unlike The Untamed (assuming you're a fan based on your profile pic lol) which has plot going in all directions. This is the type of drama that has a very linear plot and is very clear where it is going from the very start. I think the most fascinating and hooking part of this drama is the outstanding battle of brains between Mei Changsu and everyone else. As wuxia dramas are mostly battle of swords, this historical one is definitely battle of brains.
So one thing I'm confused about when rewatching this was when Jiang Cheng introduced himself as well as JYL and…
Yes, Lan Wangji's voice actor is pretty famous in the cdrama world lol. His name is Bian Jiang. His other characters that I know of are the male leads in Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, Princess Agents, and Princess Weiyoung
So I'm new to the c-drama world. I have only watched Word of Honor and I loved every second of it. I guess it…
I think Word of Honor does share many similarities with The Untamed, namely some of the themes/motifs. Stopping at the third episode would be confusing because that's pretty much when the story starts lol. I actually thought the plot at the beginning of Word of Honor was very confusing but it got cleared out after a couple more episodes in! Trust in The Untamed and give it a try!
Truth :') I love instrumental versions of Wuji and idk if you've seen this piano cover but it's stunning https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tv20xXL2y7Y…
Thank you for the share! Ahhh I was once listening to all 3 versions of the "Wangxian" theme from the 3 adaptations and I was trying to imagine them as a medley :p Edit: yaaas check out his Tian Wen cover from Word of Honor, it's otherworldly lol
Do you think i should start watching this? 50 ep so longEdit: wait i just remembered i watch meteor garden and…
Looking at your list this one might be slightly different from your regular watch. I'd say go for it and try something that might be new to you. It won't hurt and there is a high chance that you will like it! Yep, as the review said I didn't completely understand all the intricacies of the ending until after my umpteenth rewatch. What it said about Lan Wangji hesitating to leave Wei Wuxian alone to chase Nie Huaisang to confidently letting him go off in Ep 50 really shows his character development and how emotionally strong he has gotten since Wei Wuxian came back. The ending really showed us how healthy, strong, and trusting the Wangxian relationship is. Because to love someone you sometimes have to let them go, but it is also true that to love someone means you trust that they will always come back to you. After all, Wei Wuxian said "WHEN we meet again" not "IF we meet again". And thus I will literally fight anyone that says the ending is sad/bad (jk, I will hold a diplomatic discussion).
Our puppet master could've easily somehow released Baxia nearby for Wen Ning to see (because remember he was nearby the temple as well and that's how Sushe caught him).

(I'm leaving my answer vague because I don't consider the drama a bromance)
