Yes - I think it was intentional misdirection early in the show for dramatic effect - is he a good guy or a bad guy? We were lead to believe - at least initially - that he’s a player and not to be trusted. He (possibly) played with Miyata in school, he has a sexy swagger, he manipulated Miyata to see him more, he has a cute secretary he admits to sleeping with, etc. Then gradually we learn we’ve misread almost everything. Very sort of Jane Austen Pride & Prejudice.

They all seem completely zoned out like they’re on drugs. ATP, I’m just waiting for the zombie apocalypse where everyone turns from their pork blood soup to eating each other in a roof-top massacre finale. 😂 Shin - the real vampire god - is the only survivor.

Since I don’t understand Korean or Thai I couldn’t care less what language their speaking – I’m just enjoying the show. I like the leads and I like dogs so this should be fun.

I loved “Are You Human Too” and so I was looking forward to a BL series with a similar concept. There were some cute bits in the first half, but I was too confused by the humanoids emotions to connect with their relationship. Now I want to go re-watch AYHT.

Yes, he really did have a bet, and he bet Miyata would not show up. However, it didn’t mean (as Miyata thought at the time) that he wasn’t serious and all in. He really wanted to run away with Miyata. So his silly bet led to a catastrophic misunderstanding.

I’m assuming that Miyata overheard part of a conversation Iwanaga had with another classmate - and maybe he laughed about it. So Miyata assumed Iwanaga was not serious and just playing with him. The sad thing is he wasn’t - Iwanaga was serious then and he’s serious now. Classic - they both assumed the other backed out or wasn’t serious.

The emotional dilemma coming up for Qian - OMG! How will he reconcile his feelings? He’s basically already committed to love and protect Lili and Yaun ‘til death do us part. He’s taken on the role of parent and protector in the most admirable and heroic way! Can he also be lover? Makes me want to cry just thinking about all that must be swirling in his head! No wonder he has headaches!

I’ve never understood why MDL posts transliteration titles for so many Japanese shows. It would be a lot easier to remember if the English title was used in the header.

oh wow strange - but i’m glad to hear that! If i go Explore > Top Shows > Dramas > Japan > Status Ongoing (no tag at all) it still doesn’t show up. I hope i’m the only one! 😁

Periodically, I’ll use the advance search with Themes/Tags to see what’s out - this show still does not show up.

Strangely, this show does not show up (for me) in a search for “gay romance” or “lgbtq+” – leading me to believe some fans may be missing out on this gem.
