I’m loving this! It’s not too complicated, but still I’m captivated by sassy Rak who showed some endearing vulnerability in ep. 6, and cocky, sexy Mut who’s becoming a simp for cute Rak. I’m happy to see some shields coming down so Rak can really start enjoying his fabulous life with a hunky, steady man to share it with.
Yea this is landing for me, but i get that it’s not everyone’s jam. Fortunately there’s a lot airing right now!
no hate to anyone but I agree with you I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything but there are plenty shows…
So true - I love the variety out there right now – JBL, KBL, ThaiBL, and TaiwanBL! We’re so lucky, and as I think this show illustrates – they’re getting better and better.
You must live in a pink world. Not all relationships start out well, but that doesn't mean they end badly. Even…
So sorry - i was being (mostly) sarcastic and apparently it failed. 😞 This show was a solid 9 for me. Scroll down and you’ll see what I’d love to see in a season 2. 😁
Ah, I see you were too much of a coward to just shoot the comment at me directly LOL. (Now, let's see if you'll…
I assure you multiple people accused this show of romanticizing a toxic couple - even using the same language. You are not alone in your opinion, and I just don’t happen to agree. I do agree there were many toxic events in this show, but in the end I think what started as a really messy and complicated (even supernaturally) relationship ended with a very loving, self-effacing, committed and healthy relationship.
Whaaaaat!? Romanticizing of a toxic couple!? In a Thai drama! No Way! I want all my couples to be perfectly pure and sweet! If you don't like messy, imperfect relationships this is definitely not for you - or any drama for that matter. 😂
What about a whole season 2? — Ming and Joe face new challenges but prove (once again) to be undefeatable as a pair - as they build their entertainment empire with Wut. — Sol returns to Thailand for a major collab with Joe and Ming - and finds love! — Mike takes over the family business and faces serious challenges from irredeemable Tong. Everyone unites to save the family business and Tong is trapped. — May, unfortunately has a miscarriage, but discovers true love with the doctor caring for her. — Finally, the wedding. Mike is Ming’s best man, Sol is Joe’s best man, Wut officiates.
– Best Thai BL of the year so far, and one of the best period. This was an epic love story with lots of carefully crafted details and a fantasy element that didn’t go off the rails. The script, acting and direction were all impressively done. – Poom and Up are superstars, and these were big, challenging roles. I think they’re next level talent - in a sea of BL amateurs. They’re raising the bar boys. – Oh Tong - you got off way too easy. – There’s lots of material here for specials and spin-offs. Notable performances from Porsche, Billy and Inntouch.
Short, quirky, zany, comical, and fun. A completely new take on Vampire lore for me. I got to enjoy Lee Long Shi once again. Franks acting is improving, and I met some new talent in this cast, especially Sun and Dear. I enjoyed it.
I really can’t get over how mesmerized I am by Mos - he’s so uniquely attractive and there’s an irresistible charm about him. I thought the same in Big Dragon. Plus, I really like most of the cast - JJ, Fong, and new to me - Tenon and Pete.
But, it appears I’m in the minority when it comes to Bank. His acting drives me nuts. There’s no nuance to it - it’s just flat. He always seems a bit lost and zoned out. And the lack of variety in his expressions frustrates me. Oh well.
No worries - I’m here for everyone else. And while 5 wasn’t the most riveting episode, I’m sure there’s some good drama and hilarity coming up. Cheers everyone!
What’s up with the final series of shots that basically spoiled the rest of the series???
The production team must have thought the first episode was so weak that the only thing that might keep MDL viewers from “dropping” would be to show them a preview of everything they have to look forward to.
This is turning out to be such a beautiful drama! I think - on some level - we can all understand Kohei’s feelings of isolation and fear. It’s heartbreaking, but I admire the courage he’s shown. And, Taichi - he’s such an angel! Right now he has no idea how meaningful his friendship, joy and acceptance is. We need more Taichi’s in the world! ❤️ I love how JBLs manage to skillfully balance lots of emotions without being either too silly, or overly heavy and depressing.
