I found it a bit curious that no one actually said the DNA test proved definitively that the body was Joe’s, and they never showed the “99.99% match” on the form - as usually happens. Certainly their reactions seemed to indicate so, but I was waiting for someone to say it and it never happened. 🤨
I don't know chinese dramas, can someone please tell me what genre is this? I love the fight choreography and…
If you've not seen them you may want to check out Word of Honor, Love Between Fairy and Devil, Ashes of Love, The Untamed, and Till the End of the Moon
Yes, absolutely. Plus, Phum thought he bit Patrick and was looking for bite marks the next morning. That made me wonder - perhaps the bite did occur and Patrick healed because he's a vampire.
I’m loving all the outrageously conceived hilarity of this series! What’s a dramas without some drama? What’s a Thai drama without some crazy drama? 😂 Bring it on.
There are a couple guys i will watch no matter what they are in (almost) - that is Mos and Lee Long Shi. And perhaps it’s no surprise they look vaguely alike.
This series perfectly illustrates how unhinged love can be. If we look at the ways we describe love culturally you’ll see the connection. We say things like “I’ve fallen in love” like there’s some loss of physical control - i just fell. 😂 Plus, there is no mistake when we say things like “I’m crazy about you!” Yes, crazy. 🤪 Ming and Joe “fell” in love, and they’re “crazy” about each other.
It appears that ratings on MDL are a bit like the MDL Stars Leaderboard - it’s largely a popularity contest. This series is cute and fun, but based on its merit it’s not an 8.3 (as it’s currently rated). I’m happy for the cast that they have such loving and devoted fans.
I’m absolutely loving this series! I think Komagine Kiita‘s performance as Hayama is hypnotic and beautiful. The essence of the show is quintessential JBL.
I find it a bit ironic to read so many negative comments that rail against the very qualities that make this series uniquely Japanese. These qualities are the very nature of JBLs - why should it be otherwise? Perhaps JBLs simply are not your jam - that I would completely understand.
It's so funny to read people calling Ming a cheater. He is attracted to Joe, in whatever body he is. How is that…
It’s a very interesting plot! Ming wanted Joe1 because he reminded him of Tong, and now Ming wants Joe2 because he reminds him of Joe1 (and therefore Tong). Ming is one confuse boy. 😂
I always think the key to liking a show is becoming invested in what happens to one or more of the characters. If you’re not, you won’t like the show no matter the quality.
In this case, I’m invested (care) about so many - good and bad. Foremost, I want Joe to be happy! Second - and this is the interesting one - despite Mings toxicity and bad behavior - I somehow want him to be happy too! That, of course, means a powerful redemption arc with lots of regret, learning and making up for misdeeds. I also want sweet Sol to be happy - ideally with Joe but that’s very unlikely. And finally, I want Tong to taste and regret his misdeeds - we’ll see about that one. Overall, this is one great show so far.
