The thing that complicates this evaluation is the fact that they both have “powers” - and therefore, how does…
I agree it can be viewed mostly through the normal lens of relationships and human emotions. However, Way has been seen on many occasions manipulating Babe - basically every time he puts his hand on him and babe goes into that trance look. Way has been very manipulative in a subconscious way (excuse the pun). That’s why i feel less sympathetic to Way, and give Babe a pass for not picking up on what might appear to viewers as obvious clues of Way’s affections. That’s why Pete was hesitant to shake Way’s hand - he clearly knows of Way’s mind bending manipulative powers.
After I finished watching episode six, I just hit the hay. Waking up, one thought was clear: Babe and Way's friendship?…
The thing that complicates this evaluation is the fact that they both have “powers” - and therefore, how does that affect the analysis of their relationship?
I’m love, love, loving this show, but there are moments of extreme frustration.
For example, when it was well established that Min Hye Suk’s secretary plotted to kill Tae Ha, why didn’t they have the police at the ready to cart him and the henchman away immediately??? No - instead they fairly casually walk out of her office and go about their day. What!? I think we can all predict what’s going to happen next.
Plus, i’m a bit surprised by the commenters that suddenly “like” Min Hye Suk. She’s still a shameless person who had been quite willing to participate in countless illegal schemes.
Ugh! I can’t believe Zee was beaten again! He must have PTSD from the trauma – based on his response i’d say something is wrong. Poor guy can’t seem to catch a break.
Anyone else like Jo Bok Rae and Bae In Hyuk voices and dialogue delivery? BIH - I have been a fan since long,…
Yes!!! Bae In Hyuk has the most endearing slight lisp with s’s that I’ve always loved, and there’s something unique about his delivery that’s captivating.
You’re right the vocal range on Jo Bok Rae is amazing. He’ll deliver frenetic excitement in a higher range, and then drop into this seductive slower resonate lower range for impact.
It occurred to me that the butterfly of her designs may have a deeper meaning. Perhaps it’s a hint at the butterfly effect - altering one moment in Joseon time may have dramatic impact on the present.
I really loved the first episode. I’m delighted to see the Thai version of one of my favorites BL series. One observation so far - that to me seems unsurprisingly Thai - is that this feels like the pretty boy version of Cherry Magic. They’re all just so damn good looking and sexy! So I’m looking forward to how that shapes this version that, thus far, has been really fun.
Hmm…this cake looks good…a little bit dry…but something’s missing…you know what this could use a little more of? Toyota - because a little (motor) oil would make it more moist. uh…yea
It's pretty nice, major Business Proposal vibes for sure. Recently I'm not so much into the try-hard over-the-top…
I agree there’s a lot of comedy these days that just calls attention to itself, which feels cheap. This felt more organic and actually had purpose and meaning. Plus, as you said, the actors nailed it.

Ahhhh…make up sex is the best.
