Am I the only one that doesn’t like Lan Jue? Everyone seems to dislike Zhang Ping but I think he is the better…
I agree with you. I’m only half way through but it seems Zhang Ping is searching for “the” truth, and Lan Jue is searching for “his” truth - which thus far has put them at odds with each other. Now, Chen Chou I love, love - great comic relief and reliable friend!
I get what you mean that it’s fiction, and this has nothing to do with Bia Lu, or being true to life. I simply mean that I don’t find her character profile to be consistent - some times she quite bright, shelf assured, creative and mature, and other times she’s immature and lacking emotional intelligence.
For the most part, i’m enjoying this. However, I just finished ep 10 and find the role of Shu Yi increasingly insulting to women, inconsistent with her character as a smart, well educated professional, and absurdly cliche. Its simply not believable that she would act so rude at Shi Yan’s Uncles dinner table. It’s not funny.
Adorable!!! It’s not quite as quirky as other Japanese BL series I’ve enjoyed, but it’s still captures all the charm. Amare’s smile and laughter was so contagious my cheeks hurt by the end.
The FL could be a little nicer to the M. After all, he is the only one helping her and he gains nothing in exchange.…
Plus, you notice she keeps trying to share business secrets that she knows because she’s already seen the next year - and he keeps cutting her off. My guess at this point is because he also died and came back - so he knows what she knows, but she doesn’t know it - yet. :-)
I'm disappointed in the wardrobe department especially for Do Guk. Tell me why he has the WORST clothing out of…
I’ve had the same thought every time I see him. He dresses like an old man with little taste, when he’s actual a young man who owns an interior design company. He should be rockin some stylish threads.
In episode 1 at 1:07 a woman in the gallery that takes a photo of Yi Jo’s damaged painting on the floor, and posts it to social media with the comment “A painting by the scammer girl”. Is that Do Guk’s younger sister?
I’m watching the first episode thinking this is absolutely the worst Korean drama I’ve ever seen. Then the last 5 minutes happened.
Still, the story is an outlandish and unrealistic mess, the camera work is shockingly bad, and most of the acting is quite sad. However, once the FL became assertive, I became invested. Plus the chemistry between Yi Joo and Du Guk is laudable. So, for now I’m going to see where this goes.
For me, this drama is so over-the-top crazy in every way that it’s hilarious - and I’m not sure that’s intended. It’s like passing a horrible freak accident, and you can’t look away. I’m thinking to myself, thank goodness this is fiction or i’d feel guilty laughing as much as i did. I do love a good romcom.
