Despite being tropey and cliche the storytelling flows well and the performances from basically everyone are good. We've seen it all before but thats okay for me. Thankfully, there are enough little surprises along the way that help keep me engaged.
I'm especially captivated by Jeong Han - his intensity is fantastic - and those eyes! The seme/uke dynamic is classic and well played.
I've heard this story so many times it breaks my heart. Do South Koreans even know they have the highest rate of suicide among females in the entire world? It's nearly the highest for men too! When will they address this issue? Is it cancel culture? Online bullying? Just cruelty in general? What is it?
This show got me thinking about how love isn’t something you find in another world. It’s something that shifts…
Yes, it's very Buddhist in the sense that the world you see and experience doesn't exist inherently independent of your mind. The world you experience is your own mental construct - and you can literally change your world by changing your mind.
So what we see - in a wonderfully creative way - is only like a parallel world, but in fact it's an "if" world. "If" I do this - this is what happens.
I thought this series gonna be 8 or 10 episode but why only 6 ep ?Whyyyy ~~!! Give me moreeee ~But tell me is…
I think both Ogami's truely, madly, earnestly love Akihito - they just care for him in different ways - two different reflections, different sides of the same coin.
Sadly, the second couple seems like a superfluous side note. I think it's likely a combination of things - casting, scripting and direction - but they're just so unconvincing and bland. Whereas, Minato and Shizuma have been captivating since the first episode.
okay yeah so everyone’s complaining about the fixed ship and how gun/dew’s kiss is blah but have you been…
To your point and others - who will be the reddest flag? And, why is Jira attracted to red flags? Maybe he wants to fix them and sees Ko as the most compelling red flag project in the end.
When Jealousy Hits Different: That Letter Slap in Episode 8Okay so I need to talk about that scene. You know the…
I also think part of the reason Watari slapped the letter out of Hioki's hand is because he was pissed like...
"What!?!? I confessed to you - you know I really like YOU - and you have the balls to give me a confession letter from someone else! (stab right in the heart!). How could you!? Are you not even taking my confession seriously!?"
I thinks those who find this "unrealistic" may not understand the history of BL - this is a classic BL. The history is quite interesting and there's a whole psychology behind it.
"yaoi is entertainment for women that does not seek to be a realistic depiction of homosexuality, and instead serves as a refuge from the misogyny of Japanese society."
8.8 is now the highest rated BL on MDL, tied with Khemjira. We all love PondPhuwin, but honestly, after watching…
I wouldn't get too caught up in the rating at this point - we're only at the half way point. Plus, what I've surmised about MDL ratings is that the're a bit different from other movie database sites like Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB - where professional critics and industry folks chime in. MDL shows, I've found, are largely rated purely on joy. If for whatever reason, folks enJOY a show it gets rated well, if not (even though production quality may be objectively good) it gets rated poorly. The other thing I've noticed is that the rating seems to level out and more accurately reflect a shows quality a few months after a shows runtime.

If a show is good its good - X trends dont make is so, and im not giving GMM free advertising.
Minato is like the rescue pup that wants to come closer but doesn't know if it's safe. He's taking baby steps.
Jira needs Ko and he doesn't know it - yet.
Playing with Pheem feels safe, but he can never give Jira what he really needs.
