The Plot Is Already Plotting

I’ve got to say Meng Ziyi plays Gu Qingzhi beautifully, but I’m already a fangirl of hers after Blossom.•The pacing of episode one felt just right, although I’ll admit I was confused for a minute trying to work out whether this was a rebirth situation or something completely different.•Gu Qingzhi drinking poisoned wine on purpose to frame the family that killed hers was definitely my OMG moment. The commitment to revenge is already slightly unhinged.•We’ve got intrigue, fighting and a kick-ass female lead. But don’t think our male lead is slacking either. Shen Xihe definitely feels like he’s hiding some serious depths, although considering he was poisoned as a child, that’s probably to be expected.•Favourite scene has to be Shen Xihe making the eunuchs who attacked a girl jump off a cliff knowing they’d be killed by a beast. Justice served!•The plot is plotting and I’m intrigued. Definitely continuing.

Togetherness

This episode is the perfect example of togetherness. The unity, the brotherhood, the friendship...the support shared when one of the team is wronged. They might feel that nobody thinks they are worthy, but they are coming to know that their togetherness overcomes all the negativity thrown at them.

think cause of the actor, the sec Tak Seong…

think cause of the actor, the sec Tak Seong Ung came on screen i was like 'he a shady MOFO' lol - so not shocked by the "revelation" at the end of the ep. even though there was a sec there that was wondering if Yun Gyu Ho would be suspect & he was involved in his sisters death ("suicide") but guess that would be too dark. *****************************************************oh well - slowly but surely everyone that bullied Lee Chae Ha r gonna get their comeuppance & Ju Tae Seon gonna be the judge jury & executioner, find it funny. but the dude has made it clear to Lee Chae Ha that he can be bullied only by him. crazy b*stard lol... i am utterly entertained by this toxic mess, can't wait for next week where we get to see jealous Ju Tae Seon stalking Lee Chae Ha on his date with Song Ha Neul ********************************************************************************a thought just popped into my head - what if the crazy chick didn't get an abortion & Song Ha Neul is really Tak Seong Ung & O Ja Hyeon's son???? & he is the one covering for his mother with his father??? farfetched??? time will tell

what a perfect episode. what an incredibly well+thought & immacuately constructed episode

GENUINELY GOB+SMACKED AT HOW AMAZING THE AQUARIUS EPISODES WERE . . . elleen is such a great character & TAKIZAWA KAREN WAS AN EXCELLENT ACTRESS MY GOD . . . . it’s actually amazing to see the portrayl of knowing what you’re feeling & not having the language skills to express it ,& with a high intensity emotion like her anger she will not stop to think about it she has to let it out now now now. & you fully understand wshere she’s coming from & exactly why yuki would upset her. i liked how natural her flaws are & how they also handle it. yuki’s secrecy was perfectly handled ALONG WITH THE IDEA OF HER BEING AQUARIUS. seeing a healer character lash out in blind rage is so cool & also slotting in perfectly with kengo’s illness & elleen injuring yuki & personally feeling remorse to go back & heal her. which is another of the great ways they make a benevolent antagonist 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ & THEN WE GET THE FINAL BATTLE IN THE RAIN . . . THAT FREEZE ,PANNING FRAME . . . THE MUSIC PAUSING & THAT HEART BEATING . . . & i genuinely thought she was going to die with how intensely they framed it. it was so human seeing gentaro audibly cry for a duty he had to carry. & then they follow it up with also one of the best ,honestly most impactful ending for their friend+ship theme. that bond matters & will persist even through a memory+wipe. one party did the work to understand you & would love to do it all over again & if you loved them the first time you’ll love them again 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ i did enjoy this yuki episode. elleen was the character to allow us to understand yuki more & appreciate her as a person. i also love seeing ryusei be a loser in the first part hehehehe my baby. this is genuinely a series high+light like this will be the episode i look forward to over & over.

Tae Seon is such a schmuck "sex partners"…

Tae Seon is such a schmuck "sex partners" my ass - given the power dynamic & him getting Lee Chae Ha blind drunk he assaulted him. that was grape or sexual harrasment all rolled up into one. but of course Lee Chae Ha is the one apologizing like plz - but it clear to see that Tae Seon has feelings, complex as they might be he doesn't hate Lee Chae Ha & cause of that he gets angry & the closer he wants to get to him the angrier & b*tchy he gets. Lee Chae Ha just takes it - which is doing my head in, wish dude would start pushing back. there all kind of lines being crossed & he is reacting is such a nonchalant, like it nothing but a thing - like dude... ***************************************************************************************************************side note: from the previous ep i felt so sad for the kid (who's mother murdered her husband) idk why she did it but that child is gonna lose both parents & that's so freakin sad IMO. now she has gone & stabbed Lee Chae Ha, as is she wasn't gonna get off easy but now she gonna spend the rest of her sons life in prison. so sad

An Intriguing Start

This drama is setting up an intriguing plot and I also love how Meng Ziyi's character, Shen Xihe, is such a strong character. She has vowed to not let anyone step all over her, and she wants to become someone who controls/commands everything. I also think the different princes are interesting as well, even though we don't know much about all of them yet.

Don't Go There, Juwon!

As for Team Groove's performance of "Prison", if it weren't for Park Han, I probably wouldn't have been that impressed. I wasn't even particularly captivated by Kenta's visuals (though he's undeniably talented). I think Team Groove's advantage was that, aside from having Park Han as their strongest vocalist, they also had a larger fanbase among the on-site voters than Team Rhythm Bench, whose members were all foreigners (and I do think they have stronger vocals aside from Han than TRB). The way Rhythm Bench executed "Prison" was beyond my expectations. It felt like a storytelling performance, and the whole package was excellent—from the choreography and vocals to the stability, execution, and emotional impact. TG carried the vocals, while TRB carried the overall performance. I honestly wouldn't have minded if TG had kept "Prison." What I found ridiculous was the huge gap in the votes between the two teams. Only 101 votes for TRB while 295 for TG?! That felt incredibly biased. It was obvious that the performances were neck and neck—even Changsub himself thought they had a real chance of stealing the song.I found out some of the on-site voters seated at the back couldn't clearly see Team Rhythm Bench's overall performance. Since they also had difficulty understanding the members' pronunciation, they relied more on who had the stronger vocals—which I guess is a valid reason. However, I still find it hard to buy that because the individual rankings didn't make sense to me. If the audience truly prioritized vocals, especially those with a clear view of the stage, then why was Park Han only 6th? Some contestants who didn't carry the performance as much—or even made noticeable mistakes, like Jeongwoo's dance mistake and Heejun's messy rap delivery—ranked higher. Kenta and Joohyoung deserved high rankings too, but if vocals were really the deciding factor, then Park Han should have been No. 1.To be honest, I'm not very happy with how this survival show was structured. Though it's unique, it became way too predictable. The voting system really sucked. At this point, I already know the underdogs were going to stay underdogs until the very end, and I'll just have to keep watching Cha Woongki suffer throughout the show. I'm actually glad I watched this a year later. I would've felt so much worse if I had watched it while it was airing.MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS: Cha Woongki crying (while Gyeongho comforting him) and Juwon leaving Team Rhythm. How is a year-old survival show making me cry like this? I already know how it ends, yet I'm still this emotional. T^T BEST PERFORMANCE IN MY OPINION:1. 'Ignition' by Team Rhythm (this is overall complete and pro)2. 'Prison' by Team Rhythm Bench (very impactful and stylish)3. 'Prison' by Team Groove (powerful vocals, strong visuals)BEST PERFORMERS:Team Rhythm: JL; Li Zhinuo (Sirin actually, but Zhinuo just amazed me)Team Groove: Han; HanseoTeam Beat: Woongki; Jiang Fan

The weak hero

It’s nice to see their relationship growing though I’m still lost why and what they see in each other. And how can a cop turned lawyer cannot fight a woman holding a knife. It’s just so lame.

Team Rhythm Could Just Debut Already!

I think Team Rhythm's starting lineup could have debuted already based on this performance alone. Their chemistry was incredible. I'm so glad they all ended up debuting together.Even though I still prefer the original version of "Ignition", I really have to commend Team Beat Bench for giving it their all—especially their main dancer, Jiang Fan (I wonder if he's debuted anywhere yet). I also want to give a special shout-out to Dong Yun for being the sunshine of the entire league. I absolutely loved his positive energy.
