Episode 4 focused less on the game and more on the quiet pressure of real life, and it worked beautifully. Hu Xiu’s struggle to hide the truth from her parents, prove who is living in her rented home, and face yet another disappointing job interview felt painfully realistic. Seeing her talent acknowledged through her past achievements made the situation even more heartbreaking, especially when she was once again offered an assistant position instead of a chance to design. The episode showed how circumstances, not lack of ability, pushed her away from her dream. The unexpected visit from her parents at the end created a strong sense of tension, making it clear that everything she tried to protect is about to be exposed. This was a subtle but powerful episode about pressure, responsibility, and postponed dreams.

Episode 3 stood out with its visual storytelling and emotional contrast. The game scenes were stunning, especially the way fear and beauty blended through the ghost effects, turning danger into something poetic. Hu Xiu’s brief moments of enjoyment inside the game made her eventual loss feel even heavier. Once again, she loses—not just the game, but her sense of control. The rainy scene afterward quietly mirrored her real-life struggles, where disappointment keeps following her. By placing her emotional vulnerability alongside the growing mystery of Qin Xiao Yi, the episode strengthened the connection between the game world and reality, making the story feel both gentle and heartbreaking.

Episode 2 deepens Hu Xiu’s character by showing how she responds to doubt and betrayal. Learning that Qin Xiao Yi won the game while hiding his identity makes her question everything she experienced before. Instead of confronting him directly, she chooses to re-enter the game under a new identity, not just for revenge, but to regain a sense of control. Her decision to join a rival team and quietly observe before acting felt smart and emotionally grounded. At the same time, her real-life struggles and career frustrations made her choices even more relatable. This episode balanced strategy, emotion, and quiet tension very well, making the story feel more layered and compelling.

Episode 1 immediately pulled me in with its quiet emotions and intriguing concept. Hu Xiu’s heartbreak after being abandoned on her wedding day felt painfully real, and the way the story introduced the murder mystery VR game added a unique layer to her emotional escape. The contrast between the fictional identities inside the game and the characters’ real lives was handled in a subtle, engaging way. Qin Xiao Yi’s presence felt mysterious from the start, making it hard to tell whether he was an NPC or something more. The episode didn’t rely on dramatic twists alone; instead, it slowly built curiosity and emotional tension. It felt like the beginning of a story that wants you to pay attention to feelings, not just the plot.

think i might be the odd one out, but i don't like anyone... which is a 1st - at least at this stage of a drama... i didn't care that Teh supposedly betrayed his Jimmy by f*cking Fah in the previous ep. as Jimmy was far from loyal given his non-stop crossing of boundaries with Teh's brother - even after Teh told him that was a red line - so they were even IMO. *********************************************************************************************************************************************************************but in this ep everyone just rubbed me the wrong way, the fact Fah's a power-bottom isn't shocking & the way he spoke when he looked at Teh (maybe cause he wasn't salivating after his ass) made it clear, that he was gonna play him. but still it was gross the way he treated Teh afterwards & the fact Teh (the supposed freakin player) acted like a butt-whipped boy, as if Fah was his 1st... the way he kept coming back for more, no matter how Fah spoke to him. made me angry at his lack of pride. but the worst part IMO was the fact that at no point in his conversations with his brother, did he tell him Jimmy lied & was the one interested in Fah, or that Jimmy was STILL trying HARD to get with Fah. that would for sure smack some sense into Toh, stop him from falling for a douche - maybe then he would heed his brothers warning regarding Jimmy. ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************& regarding Toh, been saying this from the start - he is the adult among the 4 - he should know better, even if they not teens & collage students, as the adult he should think twice about getting involved with his brother's bff, especially after his brother warned him more then once that Jimmy is not to be trusted - so any heartache he sufferers from here on out, is his own fault. there no point even talking about Jimmy cause he is just gross - everything about this character is a turn off, he isn't justified in targeting Toh & he was the one who started the retarded games, when he got close to Toh to get at Fah... so acting like it's Teh's fault is him being a hypocrite. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************& have to say just cause we have a make out session at the end of every ep, doesn't make up for the horrendous behavior of the character's here, i aint here for that. will give this another chance to see if this gets better, but i have my doubts...

So Shen Hao Ming and Xu Yan have finally completely reconciled. And all seems finally good and restored between them. The only question is if the writers will contrive some other romantic obstacle between them or if they will let them now stay together and work together to overcome the remaining obstacles facing them - of which there are several. On Yan's side, Lin Tao has seemingly been plotting something nefarious because he's hiding his still-obsession with Qiao Lin. And on Hao Ming's side, his business enemies are getting desperate and looking to blow up Hao Chen's identity in order to discredit Hao Ming and prevent him from assuming a position on the board. As a viewer, I'm hoping that we get to see Hao Ming and Yan face these obstacles together for the final stretch.

Why the lower ratings for this episode? It was a great episode, with HX finding vindication and being able to confront the scumbag who abandoned her, supported by her boss, our green flag ML who always steps up when she needs him. Making the former fiance kneel at her feet was a fantastic moment.

So many great moments in this! How adorable was her finding out about her new interview in front of the man who arranged it? She was SO happy, and that made HIM so happy, even though he tried to hide and downplay it!

A lot of c-dramas start out slow, but I loved the pacing of this first episode. The game world really kept it engaging!

I am very interested on how they’re going to end this show. Character development because jin on episode one would truly never. I’m so fucking sad this show is over. I don’t know what I’m gonna do with myself on Sunday anymore. Maybe go to church I don’t know. I think they could’ve done a little bit more with surfing Jarvis couple towards the end because it’s just like oh this happened. Oh, he slept outside. Oh no we’re back together. I wish they did a little bit more with that but it’s OK. Also, I wish they did a little bit more with the review with the Dad feel like we could’ve drag that out a bit more but it’s OK I’ll give The ending an 8.50 my two favorite scenes in the show one was this for surfing Java when Jarvis is fucking wasted and he’s like I’m gonna be fucked earlier because I’m so drunk right now love that and also the scene where they’re like the start of their relationship and like tried to send them on his lap, but he was like whoa stop love this show just dropped my knees in the Wally world parking lot holy fuck Also using the voice thing and I’m not going back to fix my mistakes. Okay bye!
