thank you god for emotional massage kdramas

This is absolutely delightful! What a masterpiece! such a great story and acting, and filming. So creative. And nothing, absolutely nothing like the writeup. Based on the writeup, I thought this would be a gloomy melodrama, but heck no! There is humor, there is depression and loan sharks, and there is sunlight and fields of flowers and new experiences and love. Totally charming and delightful. A real art piece :)

Five Stars

Pobmek is sooo relatable...I don't know how it is in the other continents but being an Asian I can say that when I was growing up these things were pretty normalised like parents were the one who decide the career path for you. If you oppose you were declared as a rebel kid. Constant comparing for every small thing.

Strong Start

Wonderful Pilot episode. The word of mouth so far has not been great among certain section of fandom, as either they are jealous of the pairing or perhaps since the story is regarding the modern monarch, so maybe Korean netizens aren't able to digest the fiction. But for me it's all worth the hype.Great casting so far, even the actors in small guest roles leave remarkable impact. So far good performances, IU is the standout in this episode. But I see Queen Mother as a great performer too.Looking forward to next episode.

when your friend says they were drunk and slept with someone you should be concerned, not judgemental, even if you were wrong about thinking they meant it that wayalso jinjoo being the opposite of musically inclined but learning to play that song to annoy beomsoo is still so funny

perfect drama episode

i'm rewatching this one even though i gave it a fairly low score initially just bc xnghan suggested it lol but man i wonder where the show lost me bc this is just such a perfect drama episode, it felt more like a short film honestly. it made me laugh and cry a lot, it already covers so much showing people struggling to survive, to raise children, and eunjung's story was so sweet then so sad it could have been it's own drama. even if i end up not liking the rest of the drama again i'll prob still rewatch this episode at least a few times

Let's runaway again...

I really understand all that Pheem did... But If I were Than, I would have slapped him many times, Then kiss him again to make up.He shouldn't terrify me that way!!!! 😭😭😭😭🥹But anyway, I'm here again to love my Offroad, And cry on my Pheem, I really appreciate him, He can act by his eyes really, And that thing I really really like about him... I'm so obsessed 🥹🫣

So last episode's "growth" by RTZ was premature

Just when I noted in reviewing last episode how Ren Tian Zhen had finally seemed to show a little positive growth, he immediately starts this episode by showing himself to still be a complete and total a**hole, getting Sun Tou Tou drunk and just leaving her on the bench by the river bank. On purpose! And then the little coward hides his involvement in getting her drunk. He is SO absurdly petty, cruel and irresponsible. And also a coward. This all blows up terribly of course. And STT takes all the blame. Maybe, just _maybe_, the little punk will finally be kicked forward by guilt over this to start to grow up and stop being such an arrogant, insensitive jerk? But when spoiled RTZ is not alternating being an a**hole to STT and exploiting the emotionally dependent Meng Meng for handholding, hugs & cuddles, he takes time to kick his friend Li Quan, who is struggling the weight of his own family's poverty, to the curb. The show is 10 episodes in and up to now RTZ has not grown one bit. If we are supposed to start to accept him as the romantic interest, he has a lot of changing to go through. Oh - and thank goodness for Mr. Wu, paying attention to what is going on with Li Quan and understanding the mission. Though it appears there are some tiny cracks in the Wu+Ren partnership. Watching Li Quan sit marginalized at the meal was painful, having experienced similar situations. Lots of empathy for him. Finally some tiny hints into STT's real family background. And the father-daughter relationship between Prof Ren and STT is so endearing to watch grow.

Best episode so far

Episode 4 had such a great blend with Arisa showing her emotional side, her manipulative/dark side, a new character - the aunt with her gambling addiction and revealing some of the past, and of course FayeAtom scenes with them showing great chemistry and a jazzy, pop number sung beautifully by Atom! This is shaping up to be one heck of a series!

Emotion, tension, and unforgettable moments

Episode 4 of Broken (Of) Love delivers one of the most emotionally charged and well-balanced chapters of the series so far. With the stakes rising and the pressure surrounding Arisa intensifying, the story takes a more dramatic turn that keeps you completely invested from start to finish. The conflict introduced through Weiling adds a compelling layer of tension, making Arisa’s journey feel even more complex and engaging. You can really feel how everything is starting to weigh on her, and it brings a stronger emotional depth to the narrative. At the same time, the episode beautifully balances that intensity with softer, more intimate moments between Arisa and Lalin. Their scenes together are genuinely captivating! The chemistry feels natural, warm, and heartfelt. The romantic moments are especially well done, with a tenderness and authenticity that make them stand out. Those scenes feel meaningful rather than just decorative, adding emotional richness to the story.Faye once again delivers a flawless performance, bringing both strength and vulnerability to Arisa in a way that feels incredibly real. Atom continues to impress as well, not only holding her own in emotional scenes but also matching that chemistry effortlessly, making their dynamic even more believable and engaging.Visually, the series maintains its high standard, with cinematography that enhances both the tension and the intimacy of the episode. The soundtrack also plays a key role here, and the ending stands out in particular: Atom’s song debut adds a beautiful and memorable touch that perfectly closes the episode on an emotional high.Overall, Episode 4 is a standout. It blends tension, romance, and strong performances seamlessly, delivering an experience that is both impactful and deeply satisfying.
