Still wondering where the show is going with the ML's character

So this episode ends with the ML still not apparently understanding that how he acted towards Ji Xing at the start of the episode was seriously wrong. That it was insulting and physically intimidating her. That he has acted like an arrogant bully. And that maybe he didn't have all the information to justify how he acted so angry with her. Because he didn't have all the information. Yes, she made a mistake by not immediately correcting any misunderstandings pumped up by Li Li - but Ji Xing wasn't actually present when Li Li pumped up her relationship with Han Ting. So she was caught way off guard. Now, once she realized, she should have corrected things. But that mistake in no way shape or form justifies being insulted and bullied the way Han Ting did. Frankly, his character so far is ridiculous. He is not a likable character at all because he is so elitist and condescending. He is _constantly_ insulting the FL and I don't see how anyone thinks a normal, self-respecting woman would be attracted to that. As I said in my last review, just re-imagine him doing and saying all the things that he does if he was not handsome. If he was some dumpy, creepy-looking guy, how would you feel about his actions? Now, the ML did have some staring-into-space moments where maybe, just maybe, he is introspecting and questioning his own behavior. But up to the end of this episode he is still consistently a jerk.

Pei is just about to get the payout that will let him quit. He looks around at the people that have come to depend on Tengda and he feels responsible for them. He makes sure they will have their apartments as severance pay. As luck would have it, the author Tang encouraged to quit created a video about the four walls apartments. Once again there is a promising profit loss turned into a profit success. There is a party at his apartment and he is at a loss. LiShi has become a frenemy and won’t stop investing.😂🤣 He and Ma bicker over who is Pei’s best friend.🤣😂 Pei seeks tranquility at Mingyun Villa and finds the web book celebrity has declared that his oasis and the place is a tourist Mecca.🤣 LiShi has had the roads fixed and travel is easy there now. Pei has had enough of success and tells Sima he quits. He leaves his keys on his counter and exits. His company is successful at every turn but as he tries to find employment he finds it a difficult road. His job opportunity is SkyFire. Now he has to decide if he wants to re enter that rat race with them, or feel totally defeated and unsuccessful as the founder of Tengda.

that ending OMG but he reminded me of You Qi from addicted - that's the personality to a tea & ironically Yang Meng who was this stoic, mature serious dude until that scene, turned into the gullible pushover that You Qi loved to tease in Addicted & there people saying this BL has nothing to do with that - like plz... ******************************************************************the ending saved this ep cause that director is rubbing me the wrong way, at the start of the ep he was kissing ass cause Yushi complained to his manager, but the next day (as if the f*cker is a gold fish) he was back to his old antics. like he wasn't begging Yushi the night before ugh. ***********************************************************************************************************the only reason Yushi went along without making a big deal about everything (that deliberately went wrong) was cause he has found Yang Meng, so he is happy lol - so funny. **************************************************************************************but am really curious why Yang Meng doesn't seem as happy to see Yushi, guess this another part taken from Addicted where Yushi was a bully & Yang Meng only remembers that & thus wants to avoid him.

OMG the 1st ep is here, i didn't even…

OMG the 1st ep is here, i didn't even remember when it was gonna drop - watching this 1st ep, i am so elated, in spite of some pretty heavy sh*t that went down in it. the fact that this actually giving the side character's from Addicted a BL of their own, even if it's 10 yrs later, is so bitter sweet. as addicted was focused on the mains, the fact the 2nd couple didn't get developed was a pity, more so for the readers then the average BL fans, who only knew the story from the descritpion. *********************before anything, Lin Feng Song/Yushi has aged like fine wine, dude doesn't look any different then the teens he was in 2016, if anything given his more mature style, he's better looking - as then he was this goofy, gangly kid that was full of himself. *************************************************************************************************************************************************as i pointed out at the start this ep was kinda heavy, but when we talking about what some actors r put through, cause of rabbid "fans" it's disgusting, but not unheard off. so the fact everyone blindly ready to condemn, even without any proof is disheartening & down right scary - seeing how easily the tide can change & people can be out for ur blood. it was a hard watch & it's not over, given how the cast & crew r acting towards him just cause he has fallen out of favor with the masses. ************but what bothered me more then anything was the scene where he has a nightmare - WTF was that?? was that just that, a nightmare or was that past trauma?? like how dark is this BL gonna go?? **********************************************************Chen Wen/Yang Meng on the other hand has a weird ass heavy filter over his face & i don't get why - it's bloody well distracting. but i wanna just keep going - which thankfully i can as "they" dropped 4 eps - happy weekend indeed.

A good turn of events..

Ngl the 2nd ep has me hooked. The pacing was better and I got accustomed to the characters. Acting: ML's is ofc good but Fl's expression which seemed awkward at first now fits the exaggerated expressions (of her character) and I like it. I think it was her bangs all along. Seeing her in hierarchy, her look change seemed pretty distant and the expressions out of place. Now that I have seen more of her in this look and understood her character better I got no complaints. I would like to point out the first few min of the ep were so depressing, the execution was good. Presentation: I am still annoyed at the abrupt scene cuts here and there. The convo btw Fl and ML where she was trying to convince him to take care of baby, the camera movements made it difficult to see their expressions. Writing/Plot: As it is a cliched plot, I saw the Bermuda triangle coming . Anyways, the comedy landed well and did not seem forced like the previous ep. More screentime to FL's and ML's friends this ep gives me the hope to see their involvement in upcoming episodes. Finally, I can say that the drama looks promising as there is more to FL and ML's individual life including the past. ML's father's story is also a good element ( hope it is executed well and not like a mini sub plot). For 12 ep, given this pacing I think everything would fit fine, it can't get more fast than this.. Can it?

For a first episode they covered too much…

For a first episode they covered too much of the plot, in other words the part of story covered had emotional depth and it was conveyed poorly. While people are hung on the AI intro I would like to point out some other issues that I found. Acting:The FL's acting seems unnatural for the most part (initial). But I believe it is because of her face. She is pretty ofc but I personally feel it doesn't suit the acting she does. Or maybe it's the bangs. Sorry but her acting was the first thing I noticed. I found FL's sister and ML's acting fine and pretty natural respectively. After the funeral FL's acting seems on point and could feel her grief. Pacing: Too fast for an emotional plot. Like I get it that they had to kill the couple off in the first ep so to make it emotional they added bonding scenes. Those scenes were abrupt and short. It felt like seeing a recap of 1 and 2 eps. The screenwriting is bad cause the way things unfolded felt like a fever dream. As a result I didn't feel connected to any of the characters. I am a person who cries for the simplest thing in any series or movie however despite such a tragedy striking FL I found myself staring blank at the screen. If u have seen Start-up u know how the first ep ends and I was bawling my eyes out for it. Direction : Several cut and abrupt scenes. Makes it look like the plot is all over the place but in reality it is the just presentation that lacks order. Plot : Quite basic. FL and ML have a comedic encounter before their official meet-up. The comedy felt forced for some part. Cliched bond between FL and her sister. Like I have seen n times when someone says they like a thing for the first time ever so the protagonist goes to buy/fulfill their wish. But these basic plots have emotional depth somewhere, which the first ep failed to deliver.Conclusion: Though the acting seems week, pacing is weird and execution is weak ( for now), I will still watch it for the plot. (The plot being the kid and ML)

this was too fluffy & smooth & was sure that until the end it wouldn't be so, now we getting a new hurdle - wonder who she is & how much chaos she gonna create. a very cute ep - Mamiya is the best type of superiors to work under, he doesn't just love his job but also the subordinate's that work under him & he will go out of his way to help them - like he did with Riku. i doubt there many people in his position that would work so hard to figure out how to help a new employee that's struggling. wish we all ended up with bosses like him. *******************************************************************************************************Toma was just being jealous, that someone else was consuming Mamiya's thoughts, cause even if he was the type that didn't like how involved Mamiya was, i am 110% sure that Riku not only appreciated how Mamiya cared, but he wanted to be glued to Mamiya's side, cause it gave him confidence. very wholesome ep
