This not orv

You call this orv live action? What a joke. If you can't even adapt a manhwa/novel properly maybe just don't adapt at all. And the fact that the director didn't even read it and straight up adapted sounds like they're making making fun of us reader or something. And those kdrama only lovers will not even know about the real plot if the orv because of this "adapted" kdrama. Im so disappointed 🤦‍♀️

Worst than The Last Airbender Live Action

This is probably worst than Last Airbender Live Action. Everything is just off. I tried viewing it with fresh eyes but its still bad.
1. Characters- Aside from Lee Minho, everyone drifted apart from the characters they're supposed to play. The script is already bad as it it but they just had to make their own interpretation to the characters and ruin them. Like how can they turn a bullied character into a bully? How can they make KDJ hate the novel TWSA, when it was supposed to be his lifeline for over 13 years when he was suffering from being bullied and being depressed? How can they make the writer, tls123 say a petty thing such as "then write it yourself", when she wrote twsa for him and only him? How can they change KDJ's beloved and cheered character from YJH to Jung Heewon? Jung Heewon is not even mentioned in TWSA, she's just an extra that died somewhere in the story of TWSA.
2. Story- Aside from the synopsis of the novel becoming real and apocalypse happening with quests to survive(the scenarios), everything is off. They changed almost everything, like 99% of the story. I'm okay with minor changes but changing the heart of the story is the worst that they have done.
3. Script and Cinematography- The dialogues are so cringe I can't even laugh, at least The Last Airbender is bad that is funny. This is just bad. The cinematography is like its done by newbies. I think skits from reels and shorts are better than this.

In conclusion, this is like building a new building but without the original and important foundations. And also with different blocks and parts that doesn't seem to fit together.

A stunning short

At only twenty minutes, this is a beautifully understated BL short. You can always expect quality from Strongberry and this is no exception. Brilliantly acted and a heartwarming ending. It's impressive to have so much pathos in such a short film and I'll keep my fingers crossed that the two leads will be able to work together in a longer series.

The people yearn for another BKPP BL

Do BK and PP explode if they don't act in a sad or melodramatic series??? Why is that every series or movie that they are in gotta make me cry in the end. I liked this adaptation. It is more comedic than the orginal work which to be expected from Thailand. They also changed some scenes from the orginal although not that significant,I was still looking forward to those but still most of the iconic and funny part they included it. Most people lose their singers to acting but I lost my actors to singing. They are good in both careers but man I miss BK and PP on screen. Especially PP, save Thai cinema PP the people need you. I will be wishing upon every star for a BKPP series soon cuz PLEASE THE PEOPLE NEED IT. SAVE THAI BL INDUSTRY. I AM BEGGING YOU.

Don't watch it, just read the original novel

This movie is god awful and if I could, I'd give it a 0/10 but alas, it has to be a 1/10.

They changed the very core of the story AND the characters. Like, if you just wanted to make a loose adaptation of the original, then at least make it better? It's not even good as just a standalone film with cheap looking CGI and poor acting. Money was definitely spent on just getting big name actors.

They took out everything that ORV stands for. Changed SO many backgrounds of all the characters. Like Kim Dokja is not a savior. He's a suicidal calculative guy who will do this to his advantage. And then them completely changing his background just to fit their own narrative? Way to take away from who he is. He's a lover of TWSA, a fan of this book and literally survived for 13 years because of this book! It's what kept him going through life. I mean the start of the opening was already b ad so I'm not surprised it's just trash.

Anyways, don't waste your time watching this or spending your money on it. Save your money, let it go to doom so they don't even attempt a second movie.

Read the original source.

don’t watch it if you’ve read the novel

if you’re not going to follow the original story and make so many changes then you shouldn’t have made the movie in the first place anyone who has read at least one chapter knows that this movie has insulted the original plot of this story I honestly feel bad for the author of ORV I mean what do you mean yo sangha is a healer her whole character is an assassin literally olympid is her counsellation she is like one of the top ten strongest characters and what do you mean yo joonghyuk is a side character mf

I won't lie, I expected more from this. But if we start on a positive note, I enjoyed the movie, otherwise I wouldn't have watched it xdd The plot itself was great too, but I expected a lot more (I'll admit that I didn't cry at the end^^ I was a little bit close to it when *SPOILER* friends had a fight. Either way, I think the movie is worth watching. A lot of people say that it's pretty depressing and that's how it is, but I'm surprised that it didn't make me cry (this time it was just shiny eyes..) As I said, I expected more from this and it could have been more thought out in my opinion, but I'm not complaining. (And of course, plus points for my fav actor there hahaha)

A*s movie

THIS WHOLE MOVIE IS JUST RAGE BAITING FOR ALL THE ORV NOVEL, MANHWA FANS. The whole movie is straight out disrespecting the Author and the novel itself. They should just make as "inspired by ORV" rather making it as Life Action. The novel itself is NOT suitable for Life Action. From the casting, I know I have a bad feeling for this movie. The casting most of it are just NOT. No offense for the actor and actress, I like them but they are not suitable for the characters. The more information I get from the movie , the more disappointed I felt. What do you mean using gun??? . The director using an actress fame just to get other watching this stuff. Even dokja would wake up and start dissing this movie. They would be so disappointed. MY DOKJA DID NOT SACRIFICE himself for this.

Orv deserved better

If you’re a fan of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, this adaptation will just break your heart. They stripped away everything that made the original powerful — the worldbuilding, the tension, the emotional impact. It feels like it was made just to cash in on the popularity, not to honor the story. And no, casting famous actors doesn’t magically make it good. Watching something just because your fave is in it doesn’t change the fact that this was a shallow, soulless mess.

My friend decided to watch some k-drama, so this was a suggestion. I enjoyed it from the beginning and I have to say it's really nice, but the ending really caught me off guard, so we cried, but otherwise I don't think I have anything to criticize. Mby that just sometimes it seemed to be too slow in plot but then it was okay right a way

HONEST CRITIQUE

Note: This critique comes from a novel and manhwa reader. Biased? No. This is an ADAPTATION of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. Which means that the theme, plot, and the dynamic essence should be similar if not the same.

1) JUSTICE TO THE CHARACTERS
Not only did the movie failed with the actors (no hate to the actors as they're only doing their job), but I blame the director for choosing them. First of all, height differences. It's not a big of a deal, I can agree—but to not even managed to follow such a basic detail for the story can already show how incompetent they are. Second of all, looks. Are the actors handsome/pretty? Yes. But do they fit the role they're acting to? No. Lee Giyoung is literally not that young. If you disagree with me, at least read the manhwa and compare it if he's supposed to be that young. Aside from Gilyoung is Lee Jihye. I know that some KPOP fans might get offender but I don't really care because it's not your favorite story that's getting adapted to such incompetency. Her looks is literally mature for Jihye. In the beginning of the story, we know that Jihye was still a student. Do you think it fits? Hell no.

2) JUSTICE TO THE STORY
When you're doing an adaptation, note that you're adapting the entirety. Did they managed to do it? Very not so. First of all are the guns, the story literally mentioned that firearms don't work on the monsters. "What if it's a weapon made using magical abilities?" Bullshit. Did the manhwa or even the novel mentioned that there's a magical gun at the beginning? No. If the director can't even follow the plotline of the story, what can we even expect from them? It's literally messy if you can't follow the plot. Here are the keys point that make it NOT ORV:

• Bully, since when did Kim Dokja became a bully? In fact, he's the one being bullied. His past is literally him losing hope in life because he's being bullied and shame all throughout the school year for being the son of a murderer. In fact, it got to the point wherein he jumped. It's honestly so sad that him, who experienced all the bad things, would become the bad thing himself. Can the director even see if that's the same story they're following? Because if you ask any ORV fans, it's literally far from it.
• Mother, what the hell do you mean by taking care of his mother? The reason he was bullied was because of it. It may be heavy plot for some but does this mean we should replace it to a completely new one? Hell no. The reason why Kim Dokja is like that because that's what made him like this. A quiet reader who's only hope to live was reading his novel in peace. Of all the atrocious things he experienced, it will be forgotten because of the movie portraying him as someone who love his Mother. Change his past and you'll change him completely.
• Sexual Assault, when Kim Dokja first encounter Jung Heewon is when she was getting assaulted. Again, it's another heavy plot but that doesn't mean they should change it. Jung Heewon is the embodiment of justice, what justice is there when even her own character doesn't experience it?
• Powers, the characters using a gun is already explained. Aside from that is Yoo Sangah building bridge and healing. NEVER EVER has Yoo Sangah heals people. What? Do you think she heals someone by whipping them? What the fuck? Are they alright in the head?

Finale, while I can think more reasons to hate the live action, I hope that there are more entertainment industry who can give sufficient JUSTICE for the story. Hate the movie and the director, not the actors. For those who wants to open a debate with me, please make sure that you've at least read the manhwa or novel. You may contact me through the fb group of ORV and screenshot my review and post it there, I would gladly take you on. For my fellow readers, let's rate this down on every movie site we can think of. This isn't fair for us, nor is it fair for the story. Thank you.

A movie that popped up on TikTok today, so I couldn't resist and watched it right away. At first I didn't understand it at all, but as it got to the end, I understood it much better and I cried through the end (I cry so much whenever I see Edity now). It's really a beautifully crafted movie that I recommend

hot garbage

this isn't orv. it doesn't follow the novel, it doesn't follow the manhwa. it feels like I've read 50 shades of grey and some random girl made a vampire fanfiction of it and brougt it to the cinema with the same name and characters. but historically speaking this has not happened: 50 shades of grey got its own film and twilight despite being its insipration never used the same names of those characters, so why must this have to happen with orv? i say webtoon loves the sound of money but they are not read to lose exactly twice the revenue with the shit in going to unload with this live action the fans never in heaven asked. we novel readers know the importnce of the story being read through the phone, the value and singulairty of the characters and stories told, the themes and moral of the story, the director and actors are simply demonstrating the exact opposite. I'm really disappointed that this will be part of the legacy of this fandom but in the end I hope this film gets trashed for good.

Kim dokja's love for twof would compete with this crap

I don't want to waste my time on it much so im gonna cut it short. Don't know who write this incredibly wrong scenario but dude, hell no. Dont ever try again. Like...you didn't even try? Its hella different than the novel, even our man dokja is different. He wouldn't like this version of himself. Im afraid he would even start a campaing to cancel this horrendous thing. Why call it live action when there is nothing alike with the original? Bro, i don't know what do we have to like or enjoy about it. Maybe the fact that the names didn't change...i appreciate that, beaches. I don't want this motherfather thing mingy associate with orv. Have some respect to the novel, characther, their personality, important traits and more importantly the readers. Nobody wanted this thing but almost everbody hating it. All of the consellations are dissapointed. I hope and pray with my all being for star stream to delete this weirdo movie's existence as if it never happened. Instead of watching, go read the masterpiece movie. And for our already f-up mental health, don't mention it to readers. Thank you. My english is nowhere near good so have some mercy. Thanks again.

Terrible

Did anyone even read the novel before making this horrible thing? This is just disrespectful to the author and the novel. You have changed the most valuable things about the characters. WHAT'S WITH THE GUN? Terrible. Horrifying. Ew. A big disgrace. I'll never watch it, I won't watch it. You don't even deserve my review. Shame on yall.
