A masterpiece of absolute crap, Narcissism and Divine Stupidity

If you enjoy watching a supposedly "elite" military general treat the creator of the universe like a footstool while he thanks her for the privilege, then this is the "masterpiece" for you. For anyone else with a functioning grasp of logic, hierarchy, or basic human decency, The 39 episode 45 minute each The Legend of Shen Li is an infuriating exercise in "Rubbish Writing."
The "General" Who is Just a Bully
The Female Lead, Shen Li, is marketed as a "badass warrior," but by Episode 15, it’s clear she’s just a narcissistic brat with a spear. She struts around the Immortal Realm with a level of "raisin cheek" that defies belief. Whether she’s laughing in the face of her betrothed while he’s literally trying to save a city from lethal miasma, or nearly strangling a prisoner because he said something she didn't like, she is consistently unlikable, impulsive, and cruel. She hasn't earned her status; she just screams the loudest and hits people who can’t hit back.
The Divine Lord Turned "Simp"
Then there’s the Male Lead, Xing Zhi. He is the last Ancient God—the literal pillar of the universe—yet he spends the entire drama "simping" after Shen Li like a brain-dead servant.
She commits a war crime? He feeds her a snack.
She orders him around like a medical intern? He complies with a smile.
She disrespects the entire chain of command? He looks on with "affected indifference."
His "devotion" isn't romantic; it’s pathetic. Watching a cosmic deity lose his dignity for a woman who treats him with contempt isn't "goals"—it’s a character assassination. By Episode 31, when he’s ready to sacrifice the safety of the entire world for her, the writing has officially collapsed into a logic-void.
A World Without Rules
The show completely ignores its own world-building. The Spirit Realm acts like they own the place despite being entirely dependent on the ML’s power to keep the Abyss from swallowing them whole. The Immortal Realm is a collection of useless bureaucrats who let a "vassal" General walk all over them. There are no consequences for her arrogance, no respect for divinity, and no growth.
Verdict
The only reason this show gets high marks is because fans are blinded by the lead actors' previous chemistry. Strip that away, and you’re left with two toxic leads burning down the universe for a relationship that feels entirely unearned. I didn't want to see them win; I wanted to see the Abyss swallow them both so the universe could finally have some peace from their combined ego.
Don't waste your time. It's 39 episodes of a God acting like a waiter for a brat.

Psychological Horror Trip, But Worth It!

I spent 60 episodes subjecting myself to psychological horror, but I had a good time. It took way too long for the bad guys to be properly punished, and yet they still got rewarded in some cases, which was so annoying. This show is one long, arduous journey of heartbreak, betrayal, and scheming, and it is unfortunate that the subtitles were probably so simple that most of it got lost in translation ☹.

Regardless, I have to say that I loved seeing Wen Xi in her (short-lived) villain era after the Crown Prince told her that her father’s case was to be swept under the rug after all. The betrayal hurt, but it was mutual, and I like that she gave him a hard time. For the most part, she was the one taking the fall and chasing him, so her giving him the cold shoulder was chef’s kiss🤌🏻And, honestly, overall, our guy Ding Quan should have been a villain for the neglect and mistreatment he suffered… and all of it endlessly, like he never caught a BREAK😭💔!! The acting was amazing though, especially the emperor was great with his micro-expressions. Both leads captured the longing and yearning so perfectly too, I was honestly sobbing during the last episode lmao. (I admit I cried way less that I thought I would, but the special cut is waiting for me, so wait and see). Great show, but I don’t think I could ever rewatch?! The OST, however, is on REPEAT! I never skipped the intro because I was busy humming to it. Bless the composer who made the music🙏🏻👑

don’t mind me, I just easily get attached to shows..

this show just changed me. I can’t stop crying and bawling my eyes out. this show was such a masterpiece, it is tempting with a lot of plot twists that edges you the whole time while watching. the chemistry between main leads was the best I have seen in a while, it’s such a shame that the main leads didn’t get another drama together or atleast s2 of vagabond. the story shows the real world that we are all blinded by. this will be my fav kdrama till the day that I die. It’s heartbreaking for me to get over the drama when it’s been 7 years, knowing there’s most likely no hope of season 2. thank you for making this show and thank you to the actors who made the story whole with their emotions. i will never forget this kdrama.

No fim, amei a experiência. Devorei um episódio atrás do outro graças ao ritmo muito bom, gostei bastante do desfecho e fiquei genuinamente feliz por ter dado uma chance, apesar de tantas avaliações negativas.

Good watch

It was interesting from start to finish. Some find Dalah a bit weird, but I found her characterization to be interesting and unique. I was looking forward to each episode, even though sometimes it was hard for me the follow what exactly had happened. Sometimes, I didn't really get why the character behaved the way they did but overall, the writing was not bad. I did like how the flowers played a part in the whole murder case. Also that society truly hasn't lost with the victim dying.

Overall a good watch and solid acting. For 6 episodes it worked quite well.

Wow! I turned it on without any big expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised! Even though the first half felt average and used a lot of clichés, it was still enjoyable. But then the second half came and skyrocketed my interest! The choice felt very unique and I really enjoyed this movie and its mix of genres!

I have unfortunately not watched the original Japanese movie but I will definitely check it out now!

Worth the wait..

Waited so long for this drama to come out.. and well I'm not disappointed 💜 the thing i loved about this drama was that the writer actually spent time on the characters.. they allowed you to like them.. love them or hate them with reason.. development wasnt rushed.. even the ending wasnt rushed like typical with cdramas.. story was chaotic and funny.. it kept my attention throughout the show.. if you're a Cheng Lei fan like me.. he does not disappoint in this.. his acting is always on point.. gorgeous and manly as ever 💜 This was a wonderful show to watch and I highly recommend it. Rewatch value? Yes I'd rewatch it again 💜

The Thai BL Romcom we needed

Me and Thee is romcom perfection. It's silly and it's cute. Khun Thee and his Peach will always be iconic.

I couldn't give the whole drama 10/10 though because I couldn't for the love of god understand for what reason Tawan and Aran (?) found back to each other. Did we all kinda forget he punched Peach for breathing to close to his FRIEND? And the whole plot with Tee's character was also weirdly wrapped.
Also, as someone who was eagerly waiting for William to appear as Rome and give us that High School Sweetheart Romance with Est, but was hit with that angst made no real sense to me. I don't understand the unnecessary change.

Bit nitpicky, but also why did the wedding feel like they decided to film that last minute? Why was everyone so weirdly spaced out at the wedding? I don't know.

Beyond that though, Me and Thee delivers everything you need for a good laugh and a fun evening.

dropped at episode 27

I was excited about this drama. I meet these actor for the first time in "love game in Easter Land" and I was anticipating seeing them in a modern "set".
This drama started really well. I was looking for something light hearted and funny and I wasnt disappointed until about half way through.

The gimmicks between the characters start to get repetitive, and the cliche are numerous.
The 2 main character are basically in their late 20's but they are so childish. Sure, 2 conventionally attractive people never had a crush... Sure sure.
I know this is light-hearted but it's a pretty unrealistic drama.
This unknown girls starts working as an editor and everything goes so smoothly she lands contract after contract.
The "forced roommate" is a well known trope but why is she supposed to live with a stranger even after she gains some money? No pride girl?
Even after the main conflict arises, she basically forgives him after a week. Girl, you said it yourself, he manipulated you, lied to you and after hearing 2 sweet words you are alright back. He basically drags her into his house against her will.

Speaking about the second couple... They had good moments and bad moments. At episode 26 we don't really know what happened in their past. The editor is really annoying and ready to do anything to save her ass at work. I get she is stuck between a rock and a hard place but she always prioritizes her work even after being so obsessed with the same guy she betrayed. I don't know . Should we root for them or not?

The drama starts with more underlying plot lines that basically disappear after episode one. We are introduced too a nepo baby which is supposed to be a rival to main protagonist... It went nowhere.
The Direcror is supposed to be "scheming" to grab power in the publishing company.... He does very little to get anywhere..
And can we please stop creating "tension" by merely making the FL literally fall into the ml arms... It's not romantic, it's poor writing and this drama overuses this trope.
A Xiang..poor girl. The FL best friend has no plot line at all. She is basically a mail man delivering news to the FL.
Episode 27: I am dropping it. It just too boring.

the FL wouldn't basically go anywhere in life without her boyfriend saying her ass.

I would recommend this drama if you are looking for something not too demanding or full of fluff.

10/10 and trust I am in awe

I literally just sit giggling every Saturday watching Duang with you.
Expressing love at first sight and pursuing that love is always something I want to see and I am getting with this drama.
Qin behaving like he is not noticing Duang is the highlight for me definitely he is falling in love but hiding it behind a straight face and stealing glances towards Duang once or twice.
Duang with you is a drama that draws you to keep wanting and yearning for more I wish I can wTch everyday to see Duangs cute smile.

Logic? WHAT logic!

This drama was ONE BIG HOT MESS EXPRESS!! Logic left the station! Clearly, low budget….all around! The ONLY redeeming element was the chemistry between the lead couple. But, even that faltered throughout! The storyline & editing was very “choppy”! I always say, reviews are subjective, so watch for yourself and decide. BUT, it’s tempting to say, don’t waste your time on this one! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Spirit Fingers: 02/02/2026 ~ 02/15/2026

I really like this show, it was really cute and fun to watch. I also feel that the show really showed
how insecurity work, and how it is hard to get over them. I love how obsessed the ML is with the FL, it was really cute and also really funny. It was really nice to see the secondary couples, not all of them formed which was realistic but there were like hints that some would. Also I think my fav part was watching her family grow and seeing them change to be completely new at the end.

Amazing drama and a rollercoaster of plots & emotions

I will keep it short, I have really enjoyed watching When the phone rings: the characters perfectly well acted and I got attached to them quite easily.
Talking about the scenario…AMAZING ! the rhythm was perfect I thought, th e plot was giving us rollercoaster plot and the result was greatly entertaining.

The only downside is that I was really surprised by the last 1-2 episodes… it broke the pace and felt like an addition to meet the necessary episode count. it didn't really add the same value to the scenario/character development than any other episodes and honestly felt out of place. that's why my rating doesn't go over 8.
