Simply Amazing

I’ve been on this app for years and this is my first review. I can’t think of another show I was engaged with. I binged in a weekend. it had everything you’d want in a drama. the heartbreak was so gut wrenching. The show keeps you in an emotional pretzel from beginning to end.

Each character was in the right place at the right time. Most dramas I watch, I’m thinking ahead to figure out what’s next. I stayed in the moment without the feeling of wanting to jump ahead. I just wanted to sit in what was happening in real time.

It’s an amazing masterpiece!

Fun

Watched on iqiyi under the title "Rebirth: The Superpowered Wife." It was a fun time travel action drama with decent characters and some good humor mixed in. I especially loved the scene where she talks to the ML about smoking around her. A nice change from a the disgusting smoker scenes that are getting more prevalent in short C-dramas.

Gong Jun is not just a pretty face - Blood River proves it!!

Gong Jun is always cheerful and easygoing in variety shows, so I was surprised to see such a completely different side of him in Blood River. In this drama, he uses his original voice and adjusts his tone with great precision. It's clear he put a lot of effort into shaping the character. He conveys the character's inner turmoil with remarkable subtlety, making full use of his eyes and micro-expressions.

A beautiful devastation

Dear X is a story that slithers under your skin. It follows Baek Ah Jin — a girl born into violence, sculpted by cruelty, and sharpened into something terrifying. Her childhood is a collection of bruises: a father who hits, a mother drowning in liquor, a house where hope never dared show its face. Even when wealth entered her life, it came with chains — not gifts. She grew up as something to be sold, not someone to be loved. From this broken soil, she blooms into a woman who survives through ambition, manipulation, and an iron will to never lose. She doesn’t kill with her hands. She kills with guilt, with psychological traps, with carefully planted despair that makes people destroy themselves. Heo In-gang’s fate is the clearest example. Even monsters are born from broken mirrors. The high school arc is intoxicating — sharp, fresh, magnetic. But once adulthood comes, the story grows heavier, darker. There’s a discomfort in the air, the sense that every character is walking toward something irreversible.

Yoon Jun-seo becomes the first page of her tragedy. He watched Ah Jin being beaten by his mother and never forgave himself. His entire life becomes an offering to her — sacrifice disguised as devotion. Yet in the end he becomes the biggest hypocrite, carrying a false righteousness while standing on rotting ground.
And then there is Kim Jae-oh. If tragedy had a human shape, it would look like him. A boy who killed his father by accident, a man unloved by his family, drifting through life with only one unwavering truth: his quiet, loyal love for Ah Jin. But the cruelest truth is this — Jae-oh was never Ah Jin’s X. He was her O. The constant. The circle she always returned to. The one place where she didn’t need to lie. The moment she called him and heard no answer, something inside her cracked. She slid into the shower and cried — not because she lost a tool, but because she lost the only presence who always came when she called. Yet cruelty is stitched into her silence. When she has lunch with Moon Do-hyeok and he casually orders his subordinate to crush Jae-oh, she says nothing. Not a word, not even a breath of protest. That silence is sharper than any knife. And Jae-oh, foolish in love, accepts it. He is happy to be used by her, happy to be a stepping stone. A moth who believes the flame is warm.

Even the café owner is swallowed by her shadow. A gentle man who wanted to protect her, to be the one warm adult in her life. Instead, he ends up imprisoned for sins he didn’t commit, losing his future along with his dreams. When he returns and still speaks kindly to her, the tragedy stings even deeper. Heo In-gang’s arc is a softer heartbreak — a boy made of light, used for her ascent. Yet through him, we glimpse the rare tenderness buried inside her. Her love for his grandmother, her guilt, the way she takes the blame for the grandmother’s death — it’s one of the only moments where she feels like a wounded human instead of a carefully crafted monster. Then Moon Do-hyeok arrives — manipulation in human form, a predator in a tailored suit. He is the true final boss, the darkness that mirrors hers. Their marriage is a war disguised as a household. Jae-oh gives his life trying to protect her from Do-hyeok, but his sacrifice dissolves like smoke. Do-hyeok walks away untouched, while Jae-oh dies quietly, unfairly — as if the universe itself forgot him.

Some endings feel like justice crawling back to finish its work. Jun-seo’s mother receives a downfall so poetic it almost feels mythical. Being forced to erase her only child — watching him tear down his own childhood photos with cold finality — shatters her. Her fatal fall down the stairs is the last echo of all the cruelty she inflicted. As for Ah Jin, her collapse is inevitable. You cannot build a kingdom out of manipulation and expect it to stand. Watching her world crumble feels right, yet hollow — because the one who deserved peace the most, Jae-oh, never gets it.

But even when the writing stumbles, the acting never does. Kim Yoo-jung is breathtaking — she plays Ah Jin with a terrifying grace, turning every glance into a blade and every tear into a confession. Kim Young-dae and Kim Do-hoon match her intensity, anchoring the story with emotional weight. In the end, Dear X is not simply a drama. It’s a psychological labyrinth, a slow descent into a darkness that whispers, not screams. If you want a story that twists your thoughts, tests your morals, and leaves a shadow behind even after it ends, Dear X will haunt you long after the final scene fades.

Love it so much

I absolutely love this show; the acting and everything about it are fantastic. The actors' performances are splendid, making it feel both very real and surreal at the same time. The plot is excellent, and I have no complaints whatsoever. I did find myself bored during a few episodes, which slowed my viewing a bit. Some episodes were engaging, while others were quite dull, giving me mixed feelings. Overall, though, the story is truly impressive, and I love it greatly.

All the actors delivered really strong performances . everyone felt natural and convincing, which made the story even more immersive. What really stood out was how the drama centered around AI and the way it affects human jobs and identity. Unlike typical BL dramas, Burnout Syndrome focused more on psychological depth, technology, and real social issues, giving it a fresh and mature feel.

The tension between Dew and Gun was intense and added a powerful emotional layer to the story. Off’s performance also stood out , he brought a grounded, heavy presence that made the dramatic scenes hit harder. This was also Dew’s first BL project, and he handled such a complex role impressively, showing a different side of his acting range

Storyline was very scattered

This drama really did show the humanity of knowing an apocalypse is near. I feel that this drama was very scattered and had me lost in a few episodes. The characters, were weak. Nothing to do with the casting. The strength of the characters were very lost in the storyline. This could of had great potential for a great movie but not a drama show. It was very slow moving and confusing. I had high hopes while watching this, kept telling myself it will get better, it did not. I Also felt some parts was very unbelievable. The music however was quite good. I would not watch this again.

Cute and fun, with low trauma.

I highly recommend this series. It's cute and fun without any really heavy trauma.

The leads were both so good looking and did really good jobs in their roles.

IMHO, Tian Yi-Tong, playing Jiang Zi-Tong stole the show. She is so beautiful, and so cute, and her comedic acting was fantastic. Every scene she was in brought a smile to my face. Hopefully we'll see her as a lead in many series to come.

The reveals remain impactful even for someone who was spoiled

There's acting that moves the audience to applaud in awe while watching, and then there's Lee Seung-gi whose performance is so immersive that it’s easy to forget I'm watching a drama. The feeling of it being very natural is primarily the reason I want to give the show the highest rating.

Within the landscape of detective kdramas Mouse has one of the most efficient character utilization. Even though the cast fulfills familiar character templates - the cool chief, the slightly clueless but useful sidekick, the rat, the dependable detective, the rival, the ex partners, and the detective who crosses between good and evil with compelling reason - the portrayal is balanced and does not lean on exaggerated clichés.

Where the storytelling stumbles is the abrupt disconnect in the middle. From a cohesive narrative episode by episode the jarring transition to an unrelated arc pulls the viewer out of the previously built momentum.

I give merit to the idea of science-fiction though it does not appeal to me. The morality discussion will be left to those who are inclined to dig into it.

One aspect surprisingly overlooked is the mother’s role. With her insistence on shouldering the blame for her son, she never fully confronts that she maneuvered circumstances that significantly shaped who the characters became. The pd lady was another character with useless lines. Aside from her program being too convenient for the plot, she attempts to position herself as a key figure especially in moments where she provokes the “father of all psychopaths”  only to ultimately contribute little to none. The plot is better served by the two other characters who take over the crucial end.

LOL show

This show is so hilarious from the male lead, his assistant and the quirky Zhao Lusi. I though Zhao Lusi will be in the background due too many veteran actors especially the male lead. Surprisingly, she held on to that character very well. I was bit hesitant with the age gap chemistry but as usual Zhao Lusi is able to connect with her partner. The ML is very known to be a serious actor but his funny here and had a comfortable sparring with Zhao Lusi. The funnies guy was the male assistant and his bantering with his boss is superbly funny. I love that Zhao Lusi's favorite hobby had shown her which is cooking. She is very funny. I like the episode in the market were people avoided her due to her moods & frugality. Zhao Lusi's always have a very enjoyable chemistry with all the cast. I believe the director of Love's Ambition portrayed as Zhao Lusi's uncle here. This show is my top 6. I peed laughing in this show. I highly recommended and re-watched it again.

IMO the rating is too low

I'm writing my first review because I almost gave up on this drama looking at the ratings.

It's not perfection, but it's very fun and it fits the description. I would recommend it to younger audience if you like fast-paced drama with a lot of flashback scenes (to me, this was something new and exciting to watch).

The friendship between the girls is very cute and loving and relationship between main leads really healthy (with some misunderstandings but they deal with it right away). ML is a green forest, in the beginning he looks and acts like a dummy which he's not (I promise!!). He's actually very mature and deals with problems in relationship ASAP and doesn't leave room for fights.

Overall, I enjoyed watching it and I just wanted to give my review so you don't get discouraged to watch it (like I almost did).

I had watched this show 2x. It's a lighthearted show which I like. Zhao Lusi is very cute, quirky, sassy & charming. She has a fun chemistry with the whole cast. This is my top 6-7 favorite shows of Zhao Lusi. I truly love all her shows, but I have some favorites. Her acting is very natural, the make-up is not too much flour and her chemistry with the lead star is funny.

Sometimes there’s more to people than what meets the eye!

I started this drama as a usual fan of Jeon Do yeon and Kim Go Eun though without much expectations but wooooooow!!! I cannot comprehend the amount of times my jaw dropped due to some scenes and plot twists. My ladies didn’t disappoint as they acted as even they were born for their roles. The way they portrayed their characters brought about a bit of lightness and a touch of laughable scenes to those with an unusual sense of humour like mine if l must say!😂

At first I thought we were just dealing with a psychopath as always but l honestly understand the bitterness and hatred Mo Eun had which were mainly driven by the circumstances she went through. She really was a good person who just went through horrible experiences which drove her to were she got. It’s so sad she couldn’t experience a better side of life😭😭 Kim Go Eun nailed the transition from being a cheerful sister to being a psychopath, talk about the facial expressions and the mannerisms!!!!🤝

Ohh my lady Jeon Do yeon did justice to the character An Yun Su. The way she portrayed the innocence, fear, confusion, misery and happiness deserves to be applauded. I am glad she got her happy ending though it was after a long struggle!

We thank the prosecutor for jumping to conclusions and quickly hating on An Yun Su otherwise the drama would have been one episode only! 😂😂😂😂

The OST at the end was so fitting considering the rollercoaster ride of emotions we went through for 12 episodes!

To avoid spoiling too much, l won’t say anything further. Hopefully this drama will gain the recognition it deserves!

Sadistic and Dramatic

This is one of those drama where you figure what the end game must be so you are left wondering at each step how the story is supposed to get there lol.

Fan Xiao is so sadistic that I'm not sure I understand how anything can bring him and Shulang back together.

But anyways it's very interesting and the actors are doing a good job.

The Price of Confession – From Masterful Suspense to Premium Trash

The Price of Confession starts as a razor-sharp thriller and ends as a chaotic mess.
The first five episodes are genuinely outstanding, anchored by Kim Go-eun’s terrifying, magnetic performance as Mo Eun — a character who could have become a global icon of villainy.

In the hands of directors like Jonathan Demme (The Silence of the Lambs), Christopher Nolan, or even M. Night Shyamalan, Mo Eun could’ve been an international hit.
But the show never has the courage to let her be purely evil.

After episode 6, the plot collapses: random subplots, new characters dropped from the sky, sentimental detours, and the most ridiculous murder motive imaginable — someone was killed because they didn’t apologize.
That’s not thriller writing. That’s narrative panic.

Like many K-thrillers, the show becomes obsessed with redemption, morality, and “justice,” sacrificing tension for melodrama and cultural comfort.
What began as something bold dissolves into mediocrity.

Kim Go-eun is phenomenal.
The series around her is not.
