This is not a project of destiny, but a waste of time project.
I thought to myself, "Why did I watch this series until the end?"I have no idea who wrote this series of scenarios that were shot just for the sake of shooting without any logic.
Especially the couple in episodes 3 and 4, oh my God, what a torture. Both the acting and the plot made me question my life while watching.
The only couple I can stand in the series is the couple in the last two episodes and I can't say that I watched them with bated breath.
Oh I don't know, I don't think this series can be talked about this much, in short, don't watch it.

Very funny Rom Com!
This drama was very funny and I loved the 2 leads as well as the 2nd ML and ex boyfriend. The ML was very handsome and had a great voice and he acted well. I haven't seen him before so will try to watch his other work. Seeing Kim Tans mom [From The Heirs] singing/rapping and dancing to CL has got to be one of my top 5 best surprises in a kdrama! She was also great. The drama is just light and funny and a great one to watch after a heavy drama! I thought the 2nd FL was too insecure for someone so attractive. that part was not very believable but the rest of the drama was well acted and written. Was this review helpful to you?

The myth, the meh!
The premise of this drama is very new - a bunch of mythological creatures in the modern world continuing their love story. Sounds interesting ? It was until it wasn't. When it came to execution, it was messy around the edges. It was an okay one-time watch even though the whole thing played out like a fever dream.Starting with positives, the animated sequences were AMAZING. Each episode opens with this striking myth-style narration that feels like a moving storybook drenched in colour and mystery. I could have watched 12 episodes in that animated style. It elevated the whole lore.
Story-wise, it was confusing. The tonal whiplash was evident, and I feel the whole backstories were dull or not fully developed. The show starts with deep symbolism with destiny, rebirth and somehow doesn't do justice to it. The whole fantasy element just lands with a thud. Like if you skip the narration at the start, there are no traits that resembles the present day characters to the mythologicals being they were/are. We have few sprinkles of horror element but they just felt out of place.
Coming to the two couples and the romance, the main couple, unfortunately, doesn't move me much. There were barely any sparks at all, or at least they were very fragmentary. It was awkward but not in a cute way. Their historical story was also mild. Like interesting in parts, but overall I was bored. Meanwhile, the second couple were oddly interesting. Together, they manage to make even the most chaotic plot turns feel oddly intimate. Though I didn't like the fast tracked resolution to their story. We could have spared a few more minutes on them.
Romance as a whole was okay. In the middle it got intresting but then it was sappy romantic moments with comedy that was a hit or a miss. The whole combination of romance + myths and fantasies somehow felt absurd.
Acting-wise, it was uneven. I think that is what didn't sell the characters for me. It wasn't outright bad, but it was not consistent. The production seemed decent, and the editing was also okay between flashbacks and present timelines. The costumes of the period era could have been way better.
Overall, this drama isn’t one you watch for airtight storytelling, which is disappointing considering how strong and unique the setup was. You watch it for the bizarre appeal. Would I recommend it? Honestly, no. Not because it’s terrible .. ummm far from it but because it never truly hooked me. It looks solid on paper yet lifeless and boring in execution.

Well, first of all, the reason I started this was Woo Bin and Eun Jin, also Steve Noh is a bonus but the story itself and Suzy as the FL made me a little reluctant to start it.
Be that as it may I decided to give it a go, the story is full of tangles and complications, there is a lot happening and too many characters, I don't know if I was bored and just want to end it or I was genuinely entertained and want to keep watching to the end, all I felt is "when will this end?" I wanted to reach the final closure so I kept watching.
The religious reference was the main thing that caused backlash, it's heavily influenced by the Islamic view of Shaitan but it's full of Christians hints too, so you don't even know which religion they wanted to reference which IMO is a really smart move, because it's a work of fiction not a religious adaptation of Satan's story so basically no offence done to neither religions, cause they didn't get the correct story from any of them.
The end of the story was too sugar coated, but it's a Fantasy drama after all, they wanted the illogic happy ending so be it ~~
Acting was fine, Woo Bin was fantastic and I was really happy to see him because i haven't seen him in a drama since forever, my beautiful Eun Jin was great, I think her role was smaller than I expected, I wanted to see more of her and I wish her role was bigger, it was a very insignificant till maybe the last few episodes only, I also wanted to see more interaction with Steve Noh, they literally had 2 scenes together and I loved them more than the leads. I wish to see them in another drama together again.
Suzy was ok-ish... She got better I can notice her improvement in acting but I couldn't help but compare her psychopathic character to Seo Yea-ji in It's ok to not be ok, I mean her acting and chemistry with Woo bin were ok, but I couldn't see her as a psychopath at all, she didn't convince me as a psycho, she doesn't have the look of crazy in her eyes, she just act tough and it doesn't suit her at all, I expected that tbh, and that's why I kept my expectations for her character very low, so I can't say I'm that disappointed.
I would not rewatch it again, not even for Woo Bin or Eun Jin, once was enough, and I won't recommend it because I understand the religious reference may be uncomfortable to some people, and you won't miss much it you skip it tbh ~~

FL doubts ML every step of the way
FL doubts ML every step of the way, never trusting ML despite what they've been through. Romance is pretty one sided despite soapy scenes of FL that ML never sees. ML is always the one pushing.Outside the romance I enjoy as the ML slowly gets his memories back. Ending is somewhat fulfilling.
My biggest complaint is the ML actor. He cannot run. Its the classic theater kid that stars as a hero but has no idea how to run form. But I cant expect actors to be athletic too. In the end this doesnt really have a big impact on the story just a pet peeve of mine 😅

The Cursed Love – The Series That Stole My Heart
I don’t even know where to start because this series has truly captured my whole heart! “The Cursed Love” is pure magic — every scene, every glance, every emotion feels so real and beautiful that I can’t stop thinking about it. 😭💗The acting is incredible, and the chemistry between the main leads is just breathtaking — so natural, so deep, and so full of emotion. Every time they’re on screen together, it feels like the world stops for a moment. Their connection is something truly special. ✨
The story itself is amazing — full of emotion, mystery, and love. I wait for every new episode like it’s a gift, and it never disappoints. It’s such an underrated series that deserves so much more love and support!
And the OST… oh my heart 😭🎶 Sung by one of the main leads, Ongsa Tthuchh, his voice is absolutely stunning — melodic, warm, and full of feeling. It fits the story perfectly and adds an extra layer of emotion to this already beautiful series.
“The Cursed Love” isn’t just a show — it’s an experience, a feeling, something that stays with you long after the episode ends. 💕

Baek Ajin is an irredeemable monster.
I was going to wait for the entire thing to air, but I couldn't contain my excitement, so much so that I am barely 7 minutes into the first episode and I am already in love, the intro is perfect just as the webtoon. This and Delusion are my most anticipated webtoon adaptations and I expect the highest level of quality out both, needless to say that my review will be biased, I don't think I can separate the adaptation from the source material even if I try.
I truly cannot care less about what changes are done to the story in order to make a coherent live adaptation, changes are required and expected otherwise what's the point, right? but what I will not stand for is any changes made to Baek Ajin's personality , she's a monster nothing more nothing less and that's what makes the story so good.
I know my current rating is ridiculous having watched 7 minutes of one episode, but it is what I feel for now. I will come back and adjust accordingly after I finish the 4 episodes that are available.
I said I'd come back and adjust rating when I had finished the first 4 episodes, now I'm 3 episodes in and have to take a break, but I'm standing by my 10/10, the series so far is excellent, the casting is impeccable, the acting superb, the minor tweaks done to the story are glorious and the pacing is perfect.
I had to add more after watching episode 4, it's the one with the most changes to the storyline so far, and it's for the better which I thought was impossible to do, it has made the plot more realistic and reassured just how awful Ajin is. I hope and pray that the upcoming 8 episodes keep up this level and if so I dare say this is the best K drama of the year. There's still plenty of time to screw it up though so I'm not going that far yet.
Edit for episodes 5-6.
I cannot put into words how amazingly well this adaptation is going! It's a story that I've read so many times that I know every beat, every character, every single plot point, twist and turn; Yet the way it's being told feels new, I am at the edge of my seat bitting my nails and wondering what is going to happen next.
Rena has been given a brain, has been made more vicious and a far better rival for Ajin, I love what they have done to her so much.
Of all the men in Ajin's life she doesn't deserve, Jaeo will always be my favorite, but Ingang is the one she deserves the least and hurts the most. Drama Ingang is also smarter, stronger, and might not be as easily fooled by her (Hwang Inyoup looks so good in this role!) I am excited and scared of how their relationship will develop and loving this drama more and more with each episode.
Edit for episodes 7-8
So far this review has been part praise for how well the adaptation is going and part a comparison between the source material and the adaptation.
This is where the comparison stops as for episode 7 entierly new plot threads have been added , to a story I foolishly thought was perfect to elevate it to levels I never thought possible, this while still keeping the core events intact and making an already montreous main character even more inhuman, she's not just irredeemably evil, no, she's the Devil.
Edit for episodes 9-10
I Know I said I'd stop my rambling and just wrap up when the series ended but, I'm a little miffed just a tinsy tiny little bit, I'm not going to go into detail what has disappointed me so far because I'm still hopeful that the ending will make up for it and because I got my wish.
I cannot explain how much I love adored that the Fiance character has been expanded, he's barely present in the webtoon but that one glimpse of him shows that he is Ajin's true match, so I've always wanted more of him and more of him we've got.
Major changes have been made to fit the live action's narrative and most of it for the better so I'm still hopeful I'm still satisfied but, it's no longer a 10/10 still pretty damn good. We'll see what happens next week, Will it keep up the good quality?or Will it crash and burn?
My conclusion.
Up until now I hve been mostly positive in my review, despite stating that I'd be biased and I am 100%, however, I adore the cast so much that I also let that bias my review, I have let tweaks that change Ajin's personality slide, even though I also stated that that was thr one thing I wouldn't allow. That being said, What in the world were those last 2 episodes??!! I get taking creative liberties or whatever, I wasn't expecting the ending to be exactly like the webtoon, but no, this is too much, no. It makes sense I guess, and it is fine but I much prefer the original ending.
I'm not going to go into detail because I don't want to spoil anything. I'm not going to drag this drama and say it's garbage because it isn't, it's good and up until that one scene in episode 8 I loved it! I'm sure that for the unbiased this is probably a great drama.
The acting was superb and the soundtrack is fire, the story was practically flawless episodes 1-8 except the last scene and then it went too far, the ending changed too much and it disappointed me a lot.
I do recommend to read the webtoon. It's free on the webtoon app, just 62 chapters a quick abd very entertaining read and it's different enough that it won't seem repetitive, Also if you haven't, read Delusion and join me in the wait for the upcoming drama.

Fantastic job by the main leads !!
Series watched out of curiosity, due to its popularity.PLOT: A young, poor, and lost ML (morality rather grey) is dumped by his (idiotic and greedy) girlfriend. He repeatedly crosses paths with ML2 (rich, gay/bisexual?, sploided, a snake lover, and with toxic behavior). Disheartened to see his ex-GF now flaunting herself with ML2, the ML decides to seduce him.
+++ The two main characters are fantastic and give their everything to make us believe in this story.
+++ The second romance is very cute and more mature.
+++ The budget is clearly limited, but the directors make good use of it. Excellent OSTs.
WOW (‡▼益▼) (‡▼益▼)
### Silly, poorly constructed storyline. The misogyny (ex GF is a pest) and homophobia are blatant!!
### The characters have inconsistent, illogical reasoning. They want us to believe that gay people don't think like everyone else...
### In this type of drama, all the men (or almost all) are gay. I'm aware that people mostly hang out with their own community, but here, it's too obvious. IRL, sexual orientation is more varied :)
+++ The storyline improves once the two couples are established. We return to the usual twists we can watch in heterosexual dramas, with consistent behavior, and then, we become attached to the characters.
=> I don't know how this drama got past the censorship, but kudos to the actors who are fantastic!!
***************************************************
WAHOUUUU (‡▼益▼) (‡▼益▼)
### Storyline idiote, mal construite.

Fairly enjoyable BL
It might seem long and draggy, but I enjoyed it fairly well. The characters and their personalities make you want to stay and watch, especially because the friendship between the main cast is so sweet. The only thing I didn’t like is how the characters (esp Toey) were childish at times, other than that, I loved the show. If you really liked the characters, the 16 episodes won’t feel like a burden to watch. Was this review helpful to you?
a beautiful frindship, good comunication and emoperment but confusing in rest ...
the green flag:his masculine side was a great example for woman, I loved every aspect... their communication was great... many relationships advises were very good, I loved that and was the motive for witch I choose to consciously continue not to be programmed trough subliminal messages and programs... Their friendship was so empowering, and I loved watching them grow in each other’s confidence. it was touching and make me watch till the end.
the red flag:
how confusing young people are... this series... a mix of feminine and masculine qualities will simply lead to more emotional, mental, physical, organizational confusion. it is unimaginable that this is an inspiration for new generations... here is another example of why they are on the verge of extinction as a nation. they think that everything is in a skirt or make up... life is more profound than this.
the acting cringe, without any chemistry, the mix of conceptions ... she is like screaming all the time when she's speaking... i cant believe that a girl like her will like like this... or even kiss like this in our days... like keep it so innocent, genuine and childish ... but very open to everything else... the sex scene was so empty without any profound message about making love... but we are contred on skirt, identy etc.. maybe is the time to learn to make love, to connect beyond to look at what life offers us to evolve and connect.
... is pity that everything else is confusing... we force and disconnect from nature... We strive to subliminally impose behaviors as natural and normal..

When Power Bows to Love — A Tale of Strength and Surrender
Let me tell you, I seriously started watching this C-drama just for the ML. 😅 Of course, with the number of episodes, it did feel a little tormenting at times. But I actually liked it — the period setup, the cast, the cinematography — everything gave me that nostalgic “Alchemy of Souls” vibe I’d been missing (though it can’t really be compared). There were moments when it felt a bit dragged, like they could’ve gotten to the point sooner, but it didn’t bother me much since the humor kept things light. Honestly, my mind stayed glued mostly because of that ML smile — he portrayed his character with such grace, majesty, and quiet power right till the end.
The FL did equally well; no regrets watching this one. What stood out to me most was how the ML, being this all-powerful sorcerer dominating realms, would throw away everything — power, principles, even his life — for the woman he loved. It perfectly captured that idea: “A hero would sacrifice you to save the world, but a villain would destroy the world to save you.”
That’s exactly what this drama was about. And that’s what made it worth it.
