love the nolstagic tracks featured in the series!
I think my most favourite thing in this series is the nolstagic Thai songs that were featured in the series during the early part of the show when both Kie and Pheem were still students (Kie with her Walkman haha). So appropriate and some scenes does make me laugh.Nam is officially my favourite supporting actress- never never fails to make LOL at many parts of the show.
Chemistry of FayMay is going strong, nothing to pick about that. i like how on the last episode that a special part was dedicated to the friendship of Pock+Kie and I thought it was a really nice touch, knowing how Pock is always there for her best friend everytime, and this series is not just about love but friendship as well.
looking forward for the next idol factory GL series!

Interesting plot but poorly executed
I have to give kudos for the acting of all actors involved, especially Jimmy, Max, Net, Tutor, Boss, Mark and Janis. The rest could have done better but they all had moment or scene that left good impression. I also like the creative part of the story in which they gave new characteristics for the zombies. However the plot was poorly executed and messy which reduced the re-watch value. One time watch for me.Was this review helpful to you?
Cute rom-com
The story is nothing to write home about. It is your run of the mill blessing/curse/forbidden love story, with no surprising twists to speak of.Still, I binged through it smiling.
It does not take itself too seriously. It sometimes felt like it was making fun of the very cliches it relies on (such as the hilarious misunderstanding involving the second couple).
The secondary characters are hilariously quirky. I laughed out loud at the "Korean culture for the Japanese" youtube bit :) And Yamashita Mizuki's interpretation of 2FL is comedic gold!
While I found FL a bit bland, ML was adorable.
Overall, it is a light-hearted, unpretentious, often hilarious rom-com.

You can feel the love in his eyes
The Time and Him Are Just Right is a truly heartwarming C-drama that feels like a slice of real life. The actors have fully embraced their roles, delivering performances that are natural and sincere. Everything in the show is well thought out — the pacing is calm and steady, without any unnecessary rush. The main leads are authentic and charming, and their chemistry feels genuine. Together, they create a light, refreshing atmosphere that makes the series easy and pleasant to watch. There isn’t much angst; instead, it focuses on a pure friendship and a tender, beautiful love story between young people.
This is the kind of drama that keeps you watching without wanting to skip a single scene. It’s unpredictable in a delightful way and leaves you with a smile. A truly beautiful and feel-good story about love and youth.

Love entrapped in LIES.....BUT hearts ❤️❤️remain SINCERE
I honestly loved watching this drama; I enjoyed each moment and kept anticipating more. 😍😍 The BEST WUXIA.....💯💯SYNOPSIS
The story begins with the Qingyun Tournament, in which the ML and FL compete. The FL gets poisoned and loses the tournament. She discovers that the ML has the antidote and sets out on a journey to retrieve it. This journey leads to the entanglement of the FL and ML in a web of lies and deception...🕸🕸🕸
*JI BOZAI (ML): 😍🤩I loved this character the most. Sincere, soft-hearted, and genuine. He redefined love as a selfless gesture. (Love is doing something without expecting anything in return.) He kept falling for the FL's lies and tricks, which may look frustrating, but one cannot hate this character.
*MING YI (FL):🤪🫠 Quick-witted, funny, and has a lot of tricks up her sleeve. She may be an annoying character who lies to the ML quite a bunch of times and doesn't clear the misunderstandings between them. Though lying is not good in a relationship, her heart was always sincere toward the ML. (One can say her mouth speaks one thing and her heart speaks otherwise.)
*Their relationship began with lies. Then they used each other and kept testing each other. The ML fell first, and the FL got entrapped in her lies and fell harder. Both of them tore each other apart, but these two souls can never really be apart.
*The story is very simple and fast-paced. The romantic moments—them teasing each other and publicly displaying their emotions—add spice to the show and make the audience crave more.😍😍
*Maybe I hoped there would be a stronger villain. I never wanted the pitiful Situ Ling's character to turn darker. His obsession with protecting the FL initially, then wanting her for himself, was not very exciting. His character had the potential to remain as the FL's brother rather than an obsessive stalker.
*I loved the ML and FL's companion beasts; they were so cute. They always helped the ML and FL get through the hardships.😻😻🐉🐉
*I also liked the princess character and her love story. She was cute and her friendship with the main leads was refreshing to watch.
*Their costumes and setting were all good. The action sequences didn't disappoint. Special mention to the cute pics at the end of each episode.
OVERALL: LIGHT-HEARTED, FUN TO WATCH, ROMANTIC TENSIONS AT THEIR PEAK.💘💘🏔🏔

Be for real. ITS. SO. MESSY.
Setting aside the fact that there is a possible Season 2, this is weakly executed. Like the potential is there, but men the execution? Its sad. The writers, directors wanted to do A LOT, to the point that inserting it in a 7-episode serie feels so wrong. And being honest, it should have been called the "Mom-Ning-Non family story" because let's be real, almost HALF of the serie was just about their slowburn storyline, where in fact it was promoted and advertised as more than that.I waited almost 2 years for this, and then I am completely sad about watching this. Maybe because of how it was promoted and being pushed by the company into all of their social media accs, my expectation went so high. But yeah, I learned my lesson.
I can see what the production want to do with this serie. They wanted to make it as unique as possible as there are a lot of zombie series and movies out there. But after watching it,they should gave it more time. Recheck script and screenplay.
The only good thing about this serie are the actors. They still pulled off the acting. They made me feel what I have to feel towards their characters by playing it so well. Commending Mark, Boss, Boun and Nunew here.
Overall; I dont hate it, but I don't love it nor like it either.
Will I recommend it? If you are a BL fan, maybe? But overall, still a yes (so you know what I mean) haha.

horrid writing and an absolute waste of time and potential
first episode set up some solid context with alot of potential for a decent show, saying i was disappointed in how the story developed is an understatement.the acting is fine and the side characters are great, the plot itself isnt bad, its just a cliche romance story like most other dramas.
and as someone who has watched MULTIPLE dramas, this was no doubt the one that pissed me off the most.
the plot develops like any other c drama plot, two kids got separated, somehow they get reunited and work out their differences and misunderstandings, then they get tgt and work out the relationship conflicts, boom marriage and done.
my issue is with the two mcs reunite part. my first imprssion when i saw how jiang qiaoxi pretended to not know liqinle at the sch was just mad red flag okay LIKE BOO THIS GUY IS HORRIBLE STAY AWAY FROM HIM
he then proceeds to try to get her attention and interact with her in the most inconsiderate and ridiculous ways that i personally think is rude and nasty to linqile.
making her pick up ur water bottle after making her think she made it fall and making her get a drink for you is horrible and manipulative, who does that. idc if hes a guy and hes clueless, and i also dont care if hes sorry and remorseful cus he doesnt apologise, not any time soon at least. thats lowk objectifying women cus where did feminism go and why are u treating the girl u love like a slave?
coming out of nowhere to "stabilise" linqile when she learns how to ride a bicycle is insanely idiotic and unsafe. jiang qiaoxi is characterised as a genius, hes top of his class. YOU CANT TELL ME THE TOP STUDENT THINKS COMING OUT OF NOWHERE TO GRAB THE BACK OF BICYCLE OF SOMEONE WHO JUST LEARNT HOW TO RIDE IT IS SAFE.
1. shes shocked and may lose focus or balance (which is what happens and she FALLS AND SCRAPES HER ELBOW BADLY and proceeds to defend himself saying he was trying to help her, then proceeds to change subject and deflect by saying he just wants to start over w her when u literally just INJURED HER. HELLO? WTH BRO ACTUALLY PMO SO BAD ATP)
2. you control a bicycle by the handles. when u someone teaching someone else to ride a bike u see them on their SIDE holding their HANDLES. who does it from the back? that firstly doesnt make sense at all and lacks all logic and secondly is mad unsafe. im fine w the idea of using an injury to get them to bond or interact, esp when its done WELL. here its horrible and makes me think they didnt have the budget to hire a decent writer.
this is bad ESPECIALLY cus it contradicts the characterisation of the character jiang qiaoxi in general. if they wanted to portray him as the genius academically but aloof in social situations, they have to SHOW THAT and set that context. they have the perfect abilities to do this cus he has a bad childhood and lacks friends for the first half of his life and the majority of his childhood. but they dont. and thats the issue.
i didnt make it to the end of the 5th episode before dropping the show. the acting is rly fine and not the issue, and i promise this plot and these characters had POTENTIAL. but the execution was just horrible cus i dont want to see a guy REPEATEDLY disrespect a woman, only to do it again and again in a so called attempt to make it up to her. he completely ignores the boundaries she constantly makes clear and reminds him of, agreeing and letting it pass but comes back to disturb her ONCE AGAIN when he decides he cant let her go. thats TOXIC and may this love never find me. ever.
linqile i can let past cus ok she loves this guy and thus she keeps forgiving him and not scolding him or wtv cus she likes him, which we can clearly see in the show due to the effective portrayal of her character's feelings towards her first love. she pmo too but it makes sense.
dont recommend. i cant rly give it a rating cus i didnt want the whole thing and prob will never do.
TLDR: this show pissed me off the next level degrees, esp jiangqiaoxi. if ur the kind who doesnt read into shows alot and analyse stuff like acting quality, writing quality, realistic-ness or wtv, esp whether the shit they do is ethical and morally ok or not, then sure you'll prob love this show. but if ur like me? oh haha dont event try. i found male mc extremely manipulative and horrible
side note: ik i didnt watch the full show (i only watched 4 and like the first 5min of 5), but like if u have to watch a full show for it to be good thats not a good show. if i cant make it thru the first few ep and ur telling me i have to trust the process and wait it out then no thats a freaking shitty show no show shld ever be like that. why would u waste ur time on a show that u have to wait for when u can watch other shows that are good from start to finish and dont make u wait?
also this is all my opinion if u disagree we can agree to disagree calm down its not that deep just chill and move on there a ton of ppl that like this show

Fun watch!
I'm an avid zombie media consumer, and I honestly did not have high expectations for this show. however, it was actually good! the acting is good, the storyline is there, and the budget is pretty good too. I'd say the only bad thing about this show, is that it seems to only be seven episodes, and that's not nearly enough for as many characters as they have. it was hard to fully connect with a lot of the characters because there was so many of them and there wasn't enough time to flesh them each out, whereas I think if it had at least 10 episodes, it would have been much better! hopefully there's a season 2, because the show definitely has potential to be even better!! 🩷 (killing off my favorite character was not appreciated though LOL)Was this review helpful to you?

Unpopular opinion here
My rating of this show was all over the place. Started out good, but hated the FL. I asked my "watching buddy" how long she was going to be irritating - she was truthful and said for quite awhile. She was right. The whole middle part dragged for me - how many times do we need to hear the discussion about the age gap? I was just getting ready to power through with the help of my fast forward button, when, at about episode 20, things turned around. That raised my rating again.I'll start with the things that bothered me. I know I'm being picky here, but when you add them up, I was irritated more than I was enjoying.
1) For the love of Mike, Chinese dramas don't need to be that long! Get a good editor and tighten it up. If I have to fast forward a lot, that lowers the rating.
2) The FL was terrible (for me) through multiple episodes at the beginning. Yelling, pouting, bitter, she had it all. Then toward the end, when he asked her to marry him, she acted like she was mad...what was that about?
3) Costuming - FL was constantly running/walking in the streets wearing stiletto heals. Short or short, short skirts with high heels - just no. Clothing with ribbons hanging off of them - dangerous in a workplace. ML wore, for the most part, baggy oversized clothes (to make him appear young and immature?). ML's boss - greasy unkempt hair and his clothes were terrible!
4) Stalker girl went on for entirely too long. She should have had a restraining order against her.
5) We finally get rid of the stalker girl, and then the evil company president comes along. Why did she want to discredit him anyway?
6) Too much drinking, decision making when drunk, etc.
7) Too repetitive with the age disparity.
8) Her dressing her three-year-old son like a girl was strange.
9) The final scene, when they are panning the camera through the house, wasted potential. I was hoping we'd get to see them together when they were older, with white hair. I kept expecting that, then it was just done.
10) Attorney that she had been interested in, kept putting her off...why? Then when he knows that she's moved on, he suddenly said he loves her. Then he keeps trying to convince ML that he and FL shouldn't be together.
However, on the other side of the coin.
1) The leads were so cute together.
2) The ML was absolutely adorable, and that smile! He reminded me so much of Seo In Guk.
3) No evil parents, how refreshing!
4) I almost cried when she got the text from her MIL to be. I loved how excited she was to know that they were together.
5) The stalker redeemed herself in a great way.
6) No unnecessary breakups. Once they finally talked to each other, they were able to resolve issues maturely.
7) I love that the ML had loved her since they were children. The scene when he was 15 (that she didn't remember) was beautifully done. And I like how he never wavered.
8) Child actors were good.
9) Thank you SO much for giving us time with them together. The whole suffering through tons of episodes of the couple being apart, just to get together in the last 15 minutes, is SO overused.
10) The girl friendships - the three of them were always looking out for one another.
11) This is totally random, but I keep thinking about it. In one scene, the three friends were outside walking, and the married woman had a cup of coffee and was doing a great job of acting like the cup was hot, switching it from hand to hand. Normally, you can totally tell that there is nothing in the cups they are using.
So, at the end of the day, if you have patience for unlikeable characters, and you don't mind a lot of filler in each episode, give this one a try, you'll probably really like it.

A Deep Dive into Healing, Love, and the Shadows We Carry
It’s Okay to Not Be Okay isn’t merely a drama, it’s a profound exploration of the human heart, a quiet reminder that healing is neither simple nor swift. It’s about the invisible scars we carry, the people who see them, and the courage it takes to keep living when life has tried to break you.At its core are three souls bound by pain and love: Moon Gang-tae, a man who has spent his life suppressing his own emotions to protect others; Ko Mun-yeong, a woman who wears her trauma like armor, sharp-tongued yet fragile beneath the surface; and Moon Sang-tae, Gang-tae’s brother, whose innocence and truth reveal what real connection looks like. Together, they don’t just coexist ,they heal each other, piece by piece, in ways words can barely capture.
This series doesn’t romanticize suffering; it acknowledges it. Pain here isn’t portrayed as something to escape, but as something to understand, to make peace with.
Seo Ye-ji brings to life a character who is both monstrous and tender, unapologetically broken yet yearning to be understood. Kim Soo-hyun portrays quiet anguish with restraint and grace. And Oh Jung-se’s portrayal of Sang-tae is a masterclass in empathy. His journey reminds us that healing doesn’t mean changing who you are, but learning to love yourself as you are.
What makes It’s Okay to Not Be Okay truly unforgettable is its honesty. It whispers truths many of us are too afraid to face ,that sometimes love doesn’t save you, but it stays with you while you learn to save yourself. That pain doesn’t disappear, but with compassion, it can transform into something gentler.
✨ Verdict:
More than a drama , it’s a mirror for anyone who has ever felt broken, unseen, or unworthy. Poetic, vulnerable, and unflinchingly human, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay reminds us that to be loved is not to be flawless ,it’s to be seen, scars and all.

An "OK" comedy with several scatological jokes.
The story itself is interesting and has great comic relief with Pock; she's responsible for making the plot engaging. Without her, I truly believe the story would be very boring. The production is great, after all, it's Idol Factory. The secondary characters are very good, unlike the protagonists, who, in my opinion, leave much to be desired. Kee is nice, but Peem becomes unbearable after a few episodes, like a spoiled 3-year-old. I laughed a few times, but I wasn't moved by the plot, even though there were several (many, many) touching moments. The friendship between Pock and Kee is the highlight of the story; in fact, the best character is Pock. What bothered me most about the main plot was the personality chosen for Peem. I found her extremely spoiled; everything was a reason for her to get upset, and because of that, Kee constantly had to apologize for things like "greeting someone." The worst part is that when Kee apologized, Peem wouldn't forgive her, so the entire episode boiled down to: "Kee apologizing multiple times for 'greeting' someone." Not healthy at all. Kee isn't innocent either; after all, if someone rubs their breasts against you in front of your girlfriend and you do nothing, you're guilty, but most of the time she hadn't done anything wrong and Pee was upset with her.The things that bothered me the most: First) The way they sexualized Yumi. To me, it was completely unnecessary and wrong. We criticize anime so much for doing this to women, and now they do it in a "GL"? The girl was reduced to "I have big breasts, I'm silly, and I want to sleep with Kee"... I don't think that's cool in anime, so I'm not going to defend it just because it's a GL. She could be sexy and still be an intelligent and deep character like the others; after all, she speaks five languages, so why make her a sexist stereotype? I didn't like it. Another thing I didn't like was the scatological jokes about excrement, gas, vomit, and sex. What's so funny about showing a dog eating the characters' vomit? The worst joke for me was: "Seeing Kee and Pee on the phone laughing while calling Pock to hear her being intimate with her boyfriend"... I thought, "They're not going to make Pock answer the phone, are they?"... Not only does she answer, but she puts the phone ON SPEAKERPHONE so Kee and Pee can hear Pock and her boyfriend moaning! Was that supposed to be funny? I found this 2000s comedy shameful... The characters have very cartoonish attitudes, meant to be funny, but combined with the series' jokes, the impression is that the series is desperate to make you laugh, so it uses every type of joke that exists. It feels forced in the end.

high school scars and scared teenage boys become men
This feels more coming of age than conventional BL, which may be why it worked for me. Given how split opinion is, maybe it's worth it to throw my read into the mix? I found both of the leads believable, even if puppy Natsuo was a bit exaggerated. There's a lot going on under the surface.Major spoilers below. I wish we had the option to spoiler bits out in reviews.
We see three sides of bullying in this (I'm including the classmates he meets again briefly, the ones who didn't change.)
Hiro went through high school in defensive mode and hasn't let it go. For all he's changed himself in appearance, learning a fashionable skill and developing confidence in that area (but not others), that hurting kid is still at his core. I don't think he actually wants revenge, certainly not in the way a few of the reviewers were after. More like seeing Natsuo again brought all of that back. Natsuo wouldn't go away so to protect itself, the scared, scarred, hurting part of Hiro's psyche came up with a plan of 'revenge'. And yes, it was never going to work because Hiro was never truly vengeful. It was also a way for Hiro to be near Natsuo and soak up his puppy energy, affection and enthusiasm without acknowledging it to himself.
Natsuo makes sense as a kid who didn't pay much attention in school. He could learn when he tried but he had no one at home encouraging him. (IIRC Hiro described their high school as being mostly delinquents - perhaps everyone had written the students off already and the teachers weren't really trying either.) Being gay, not the brightest bulb, with absent parents, he was very vulnerable and ill-equipped to cope with peer pressure.
I don't think I'm reading this into the story. There's a lot in this that's understated but still present. Maybe it helps if you watch enough coming of age? Japan makes some excellent CoA films, the best country in the genre IMO.
Hiro trying to force himself on Natsuo felt out of place to me. The whole tone changed so much, dark melodrama. The only way I can make sense for its inclusion is that the traumatised part of Hiro's psyche (which developed to protect him from previous danger and is still holding onto that purpose) felt severely threatened by the disclosure - but because the series is short and there was a lot going on (all of those side stories some complain about as 'filler' have purpose in developing the characters) it was abbreviated. I'm not in any way justifying that - if they were going to cut clear resolution short for time, it would have been better to drop this bit altogether and find another way.
Following this interpretation, perhaps Natsuo submitting later reflects his continued vulnerability to peer pressure. If so, these dots should have been connected in dialogue. He's grown but maybe not in this way. He's still very much a kid who needs to be loved.
So that's how I see it, a story of two teenage kids, lonely in different ways, now become young men and finding in each other what they each need to grow.

The plot was very subpar compared to the chemistry between the leads...
Let me begin by saying I loved their main ost. Every scene with the ost playing felt so touching and beautiful. This was my first drama from Hou Ming Hao and Lu Yu Xiao. I feel HMH acted really really well. Like the way he always looked at her with either eyes of love or eyes of betrayal was portrayed very well by him. LYX also did well for her role, her character was not the annoying kind. She was strong brave and smart. The leads had amazing chemistry from the start itself. I wont really say they were a enemies to lovers couple cause she kinda finds out quite early that he was not the one who poisoned her. So her hatred for him dies down and then she is only behind her cure. Similarly, even JBZ ends up falling for MY quite fast BUT here comes the issues...
Every 5eps or so the writer keeps introducing misunderstanding or sacrificing plots so the couple is like never together properly in peace. Most of their cute or romantic scenes come with foreshadowing that something is gonna happen etc. This dragged on for sooo long. Too long actually for me that I ended up skipping alot of parts. The plot progression and speed was a huge loss for this drama. Cause i feel the actors even the villains were doing very well. The plot was just too simple for 33 episodes with sudden random reveals in the last few eps.
My favourite scene was actually at the marriage stone where he forced himself to carve MY's name and take the lightning punishment. It was also the time he found out Ming Yi was lying to him and he lost his trust in her. HMH's acting for that part was really really good.
Oh also honorary mention to the super cute proposal scene at the end. The drunk proposal was also very naturally done didnt feel cringe at all. Overall, the drama is a feast for cute moments and good romantic scenes (also heard alot was cut out) but just lacked depth in the plot.
